I live in Asia and I want to share a couple of observations regarding SE. The first is that even before the pandemic forced us all into our homes for months, Shopee was part of our daily lives if we need ANYTHING for our home or daily lives. Secondly, somewhat unlike the West, the internet and wifi and mobile device use is pervasive here; I mean you CANT get away from it if you tried. The fundamentals of SEA really depends on how Delta plays out in Southeast Asia, apart from tapering. If Delta or any other variant last far longer, then people will keep buying goods online and play games on mobile because they spend longer time at home. If this dissipates quickly or vaccination speeds up, then revenue growth will slow down pretty fast.
