I was doing my research to find undervalued stocks with great moat & earnings, and I stumbled upon $Diageo PLC(DEO)$$Diageo plc(DGEAF)$

Here are my key analysis on this company:

●Diageo own a portfolio of 200 brands of alcohol and sells in 180 countries worldwide. The most notable brands are Smirnoff Vodka, Johnnie Walker Whisky, Baileys, Guinness, and even a 34% joint-venture stake in Moet-Henessy Champagne brands. 

●Diageo has a high moat, as alcohol production is an extremely high barrier to entry. No one can replicate their business easily, and the portfolio of brands that they own are very high quality and always sought after.

●Earnings have grown at a rate of 6% PA since 2015, while free cash flow has grown at a CAGR of 9.76% since 2015. 

●Financial Health of the company has been very good. Although net debt-to-equity ratio has been at 142%, the debt is well covered by operating cash flow by 24.7% and interest payments are well covered by EBIT by 10.9x.

●Diageo has bought back 6% of their outstanding shares in the past 6 years. Their dividend payout has increased from 134B USD in 2015 to 164B USD in 2021. 

●One of Diageo's biggest shareholder,is actually Warren Buffets $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$. Berkshire has a 1 Billion stake in the company, owning about 1.01% of Diageo. Warren bought Diageo in the early days, and was believed to have paid about 40USD a share. Right now, Diageo is trading at 200 USD. Which means Warren made 500% in the span of 20 Years. 

●Based on 4B earnings in FY2019, 6% discount rate and 4.9% growth rate, the stock is currently trading at a 18% discount to its intrinsic value. The fair Value of the company is estimated to be about $254.

Bottom Line:

I think Diageo is a good add to anyone's portfolio. The company has high quality earnings, a great sustainable moat, and is currently trading at a discount to its intrinsic value. Since this stock has the seal of approval of Warren Buffet himself, which is 1991 shareholders letter he said Diageo has mouth-watering economics.
