The World's 100 most valuable brands 2021

a good article was posted by www.visualcapitalist.com listing the top 100 most valuable brands in 2021.

this is derived using brand's total financial value multiplied by its proportional value on its parent company's sales.  this is meant to give a overview of company's brand, reputation and ability to generate value.

personally, I am glad to see $Tencent(00700)$ coming in at #5 above Facebook and $Alibaba(BABA)$ that is #7 - 2 Chinese companies listed in the top 10. 

while not everyone may agree with the calculation of value, this helps me to identify the top companies and with this, a filtered list of companies that we can consider for investing. these are sorted by the various actors and some of the notable players are:

$Visa(V)$#8 overall and top from financials.

$Amazon.com(AMZN)$#1 overall and top from consumer goods & retail.

$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$leading the cars & transportation at #47

let's do our research before we invest. let us have a strong and winning end to 2021 together.

    A good company’s fundamental performance shouldn’t mean that the investment will definitely make money. It should depend on whether the stock price is overvalued or undervalued.

      I quite agree with you. I bought Tencent's stock this year, but due to some external shocks, Tencent's stock price performance this year is not very good! So I'm not going to sell it now. I look forward to its share price rising in the future!
