On the news, according to the national standard information service public platform, the status of the national standard of electronic cigarettes (20171624-Q-456) has been changed to being drafted, and the "Gas Chromatography Standard for the Determination of Nicotine, Propylene Glycol and Glycerol in Electronic Cigarette Liquids" ( 20172264-T-456) status is still under approval.

Within a month, the national standard status of e-cigarettes changed again. According to media reports, on October 18, the national standard status of e-cigarettes was changed from being approved to being reviewed.

China's e-cigarette market

China is the world's main production base for e-cigarettes, and its output accounts for about 95% of the world's total, of which more than 90% are for export. In recent years, the scale of China's e-cigarette market has also grown rapidly. The data shows that in 2013, the scale of China's e-cigarette market was 550 million yuan, and the market size increased to 8.38 billion yuan in 2020, with an 8-year compound annual growth rate of 72.5%.

On November 23, the e-cigarette concept stocks continued to strengthen in the Hong Kong stock market. However, RELX, an e-cigarette stock in the U.S. stock market, did not rise but fell.
