Thinking about TAMs (Total Addressable Markets).. We know Lisa Su has felt that acquiring XLNX would add tremendously to the possible TAMS available for AMD going forward. TAMs have been discussed here a lot and addressed by Lisa, but I do not remember much about the "Metaverse" until very recently. When you add that into the possible TAMs going forward, as Kris has mentioned, the possibilities are huge.. The "Metaverse" I believe, is in the very top of the first inning, if even that! Facebook (Meta) is investing 34 Billion to begin but that will be a drop in the bucket compared to tons of other companies that will be rushing to enter this market, spending "hundreds of billions" (not my number, but one analyst who seemed pretty savvy on the metaverse). AMD will be a big part of that! I don't think anyone can yet quite grasp the possibilities and high growth in this area going forward. Whatever we can imagine right now, I think all of us might be very surprised at how low we are envisioning this market. What an exciting time! And AMD is in (with or without XLNX) on the ground floor.. Lisa knows this and is a true visionary and planner but most importantly, she is also fabulous at execution! Many people can dream, but to bring those dreams/visions to fruition, that is another thing and Lisa is great at it! AMD's future looks very bright to me..
