MW Karat Packaging says it has ordered 10 Tesla Semi Trucks

Karat Packaging Inc. (KRT), a maker of disposable foodservice products, said Tuesday it has placed an order for 10 Tesla $(TSLA)$ Semi trucks. The Chino, California-based Karat has a fleet of 86 trucks and offers third-party logistics services to about 100 customers in California. It's planning to extend that service from existing distribution centers in Texas, New Jersey and South Carolina, as well as in California. Tesla's battery-powered Semi is expected to have a range of up to 500 miles on a single charge. Tesla shares were up 1.2% premarket and have gained 27.5% in 2021, while the S&P 500 has gained 22%.
