BofA analysts said earlier this month that oil prices could hit triple-digits in the next six months if there is a cold winter.</p>\n<p>Brent fell 1% to $78.72 per barrel after hitting a nearly three-year high of $80 in early trading. U.S. crude dipped 0.8% to $74.86 after topping $76 intraday.
