CFO Zach Kirkhorn's title is now \"Master of Coin,\" alluding to Tesla’s recent investment in Bitcoin (BTC). </p><p>Furthermore, Tesla announced that Jerome Guillen, President of Automotive at Tesla, has transitioned to the role of President, Tesla Heavy Trucking. </p><p>“Since September 2018, Mr. Guillen has successfully overseen Tesla’s vehicle programs, supply chain and service infrastructure and contributed to the development of leaders, organizations and processes capable of continuing to direct and operate those functions for our passenger vehicle programs. As Tesla prepares to enter the critical heavy trucks market for the first time, Mr. Guillen will now leverage his extensive background in this industry to focus on and lead all aspects of the Tesla Semi program, including the related charging and servicing networks,” it is said in the statement. </p><p>According to Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives, management changes show that Tesla wants to put more focus on semis and trucks. </p><p>“We note that Guillen has been a key linchpin in Tesla's Model 3 success and supply chain improvements at Fremont as well as Giga in China over the past few years. We view Guillen moving to the heavy truck frontier as a significant strategic move showing Tesla plans to double down on its semi and trucking vision over the next few years. We note that Tesla this weekend also released a video its new electric semi truck prototype on the test track at Fremont. We continue to believe this is a 2022 model release that will be discussed in more detail over the coming months from Tesla as production plans start to develop,” Ives wrote in a note to clients. </p><p>Musk's new updated title is a signal that he views Tesla as a technology disruptor in the future, Ives believes. This is especially seen in the context of robotaxis, FSD, and massive battery technology advancements on the horizon at Tesla.</p><p>And as for Kirkhorn, the new title clearly refers to Tesla’s investing in BTC, with Ives expecting the company to further increase its Bitcoin ownership in the coming year. </p><p>Overall, Ives stresses that right now it is all about Tesla's success ramping its EV initiatives and demand in China for the month of March.
