上周许导在录制音频的时候，分享了芯片半导体行业的一些观点：2021年9月24日市场语音跟踪，趁着国庆假期还没来，我们在多做一下这方面的功课： 本文将围绕着什么是芯片？为什么芯片会短缺？中美关系缓和对于芯片行业的影响来做研究。 首先，半导体、集成电路和芯片和晶圆的区别？ 半导体指常温下导电性能介于导体与绝缘体之间的材料。常见的半导体材料有硅、锗、砷化镓等。 集成电路是一种微型电子器件或部件。采用一定的工艺，把一个电路中所需的晶体管、电阻、电容和电感等元件及布线互连一起，然后封装在一个管壳内，成为具有所需电路功能的微型结构。 芯片其实是半导体元件产品的统称，很多时候我们把集成电路和芯片混淆在一起。但严格意义上，芯片并不能完全等于集成电路，芯片是集成电路的载体，由晶圆分割而成。 晶圆是指制作硅半导体电路所用的硅晶片，其原始材料是硅。经过一系列加工后形成硅晶圆片，也就是晶圆。 简单来说就是半导体组成集成电路，芯片是集成电路的终极形态，而晶圆是芯片的原材料。 根据摩尔定律，集成电路上可以容纳的晶体管数目在大约每经过18个月便会增加一倍。换言之，处理器的性能每隔两年就会翻一倍。所以随着时间流逝，芯片行业的壁垒便会自然消失。行业内公司通常处于你追我赶的内卷状态。 其次，为什么芯片会短缺？ 一方面，晶圆量产难度大。 芯片产业链可以分为上中下游三大环节，上游是芯片原材料制造的硅片制造厂商，中游是芯片设计公司，下游就是基于上游生产的硅片，将中游的芯片设计实现出来的晶圆加工厂商。 芯片的基本组成单位是晶体管。晶体管里含有一个栅极，一方面栅极的宽度（14nm、7nm等）决定了电流通过时的损耗，宽度越窄，损耗越低。另一方面栅极越窄，芯片可以含有更多的晶体管，可以提升更多的性能和计算能力。 同时，最终形成的芯片体积也就越小，那么一块硅片可以切割出来的芯片也就越多，降低了整体成本。所以说纳米数越小的芯
