You can buy thousands of items near you same day, also they allow local retailers to sell their own items using 'sell on wish'. They are incentivizing local businesses to use "sell on wish" for free temporarily to scale that section of the business. Once it has scaled, retailers will see the value in the platform given the customer base, which will attract new merchants and retain existing ones as changing their ecommerce platform would be a pain down the road.
