Tesla's Global Deliveries Fall In 2024, First Decline in More Than a Decade -- Market Talk

Dow Jones01-02

0956 ET - Tesla's global vehicle deliveries fell in 2024 for the first time in more than a decade. Tesla delivered 1.79 million vehicles worldwide for all of 2024, down about 1% from a year earlier. In 4Q, the electric-car maker delivered 495,570 vehicles, leaning heavily on promotions, such as interest-free financing deals and free Supercharging, to entice buyers. Wedbush analyst Dan Ives in a note expressed confidence Tesla can accelerate delivery growth in FY25, particularly as investors look for the launch of a lower-priced EV in early 2025 to spur growth for vehicle deliveries. Tesla falls 4% in early trading to $388.24. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
