JD.com (HKG:9618) recorded a third-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of 11.7 billion yuan, up 47.8% from 7.94 billion yuan a year ago.
Net income per share was 3.86 yuan for the three months ended Sept. 30, compared with 2.50 yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
The Chinese e-commerce giant's Q3 revenue stood at 260.4 billion yuan, 5.1% higher than 247.7 billion yuan a year earlier.
JD.com attributed the revenue increase to a rebound in the growth of electronics and home appliances as overall consumer sentiment improved.
