The latest AI graphics processing units from Nvidia (NVDA), called Blackwell, generate a lot of heat and require liquid cooling systems to remove it. Traditional air cooling systems are insufficient, he said.\nVertiv and Nvidia have partnered to create reference designs for power and cooling infrastructure to enable Nvidia Blackwell architectures up to 7 megawatts.\n\"For us, the partnership with Nvidia is tremendously important in terms of making sure that we have clear visibility of their future technology road map because of the challenges of power and thermal,\" Albertazzi said.\nVertiv needs to ensure that the infrastructure will be there to enable Nvidia's future products, he said.\nVertiv Stock: A 'Sustainable' Business\nOne investor concern about the current AI data center boom is whether it will last. They include its global footprint and support services covering the life cycle of data centers.\nRiding AI Tailwinds Into 2025\nOn Oct. 23, Vertiv beat Wall Street's targets for the third quarter. Its adjusted earnings rose 46% year over year to 76 cents a share, while sales climbed 19% to $2.07 billion.\nBut Vertiv provided mixed guidance for the current period. For the fourth quarter, Vertiv forecast earnings above views, but its sales target was a tad short of estimates.
