While the AI trade has taken it on the chin recently, Goldman Sachs indicated that it still remains confident about the growing market area. “The mega-cap tech stocks have dropped sharply, but their valuations continue to reflect AI optimism despite investor concerns about the likely timing and magnitude of returns on their capital investments,” the investment bank said. Regarding valuations, Goldman went on to spotlight that the P/E ratio of mega-cap tech stocks has now dropped by 15% over the past two months, decreasing from 32x to 27x. Despite this decline, it still remains above the 10-year median of 24x. While the AI trade has taken it on the chin recently, Goldman Sachs indicated that it still remains confident about the growing market area. “The mega-cap tech stocks have dropped sharply, but their valuations continue to reflect AI optimism despite investor concerns about the likely timing and magnitude of returns on their capital investments,” the investment bank said. Regarding valuations, Goldman went on to spotlight that the P/E ratio of mega-cap tech stocks has now dropped by 15% over the past two months, decreasing from 32x to 27x. Despite this decline, it still remains above the 10-year median of 24x.
