0352 GMT - Singapore Airlines is poised to benefit from Singapore's recent easing of border restrictions, which have unlocked substantial pent-up demand for air travel, says UOB Kay Hian's analyst Roy Chen in a research report. The immediate boost in demand for tickets has outpaced the near-term ramp-up in seat supply, resulting in higher ticket prices than pre-pandemic days, the analyst notes. According to management, SIA's seats are well-booked over next few months until August, says the brokerage, which lifts its FY 2023 net-profit estimate for SIA to S$1.35 billion from S$420 million previously. UOB KH also raises the stock's target price to S$4.88 from S$4.85 with an unchanged hold rating. The shares are 0.55% higher at S$5.51. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
