Virgin Galactic shares rose 5% in premarket trading.
SPCE announced a test flight of its SpaceShipTwo Unity on July 11. The crew will consist of two pilots and four mission specialists in the cabin, including Sir Richard Branson, who founded the company.
Virgin Galactic has also stated that it did not decide to schedule the flight on July 11 to be ahead of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, whose flight will be launched on July 20.
