Rivian rose nearly 5% in premarket trading and reached an all-time high at 157 dollars.The company and Amazon will build a second electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Georgia, USA, and has entered a later stage of discussion.

Previously, Rivian had built a factory in Normal, Illinois, USA, which produced the company's all-electric R1T pickup truck.

In late July, four people familiar with the matter said Rivian planned to build a second assembly plant in the United States. At the time, sources also said the company's second plant in the U.S. would produce not only its all-electric vehicles, but also batteries.

Documents obtained by foreign media show that the factory will include a 50GWh battery production facility and a product and technology center.
