It's time to look at what's the best option now.</p>\n<p>Investors scanning the horizon for growth stocks may be better off taking a look at <b>Trimble</b> (NASDAQ:TRMB), <b>Array Technologies </b>(NASDAQ:ARRY), and <b>MP Materials</b> (NYSE:MP). Here's why some Fool.com contributors think each is a great buy now.</p>\n<h2>The infrastructure bill is just one of many growth drivers for Trimble</h2>\n<p><b>Lee Samaha (Trimble):</b> Trimble is a leading light in the positioning and modeling business. As such, its roots lie in the geospatial industry (mapping and surveying). The geospatial industry is still a significant end market -- making up around 23% of Trimble's third-quarter revenue. However, its largest end market is buildings and construction (39% of revenue). The other two end markets are the fast-growing resources and utilities (20% of revenue) space and transportation (18% of revenue).</p>\n<p>Trimble's solutions are increasingly used as an integral part of its customers' daily activities. For example, trucking companies use Trimble to make sure their fleets are running safely and effectively, all the time analyzing real-time data to improve performance. In agriculture, its precision agriculture hardware and software help farmers make better decisions when it comes to planting, nurturing, and harvesting crops.</p>\n<p>Moreover, in building and construction, the company's technology helps contractors accurately complete building and infrastructure projects, and in doing so, reduce waste and carbon emissions. As such, the infrastructure bill will lead to plenty of growth opportunities as upgrading the nation's infrastructure can be achieved in a more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly way using Trimble.</p>\n<p>Given the explosion of connected devices, digital technologies, and analytics capability, it's highly likely that there will be increased adoption of positioning and modeling technology in the future. Again, Trimble is ideally placed to take advantage.</p>\n<h2>This solar stock went from cold to hot</h2>\n<p><b>Daniel Foelber&nbsp;(Array Technologies):</b> Share prices of solar tracking manufacturer Array Technologies have staged quite the comeback since falling 74% from its high in May. The company was caught completely off guard by supply chain constraints and rising raw material costs -- namely steel. The news not only stunted its growth, but crippled its margins, too.</p>\n<p>Although the company's short-term performance continues to suffer,&nbsp;it has done a good job partnering with companies like <b>Nucor</b> to secure more reliable steel pricing, as well as building a healthy backlog of projects. Although Array's Q3 figures were weak, the company's outlook for the year ahead casts a bright light that the worst of its problems may be over.</p>\n<p>Array is a great example of a growth stock that looked strong headed into 2021, suffered a lot of setbacks, and is now beginning to get back on its feet. Now is the perfect time for investors to revisit the long-term investment thesis, which centers around the growing need for more efficient and cost-effective solar tracking. Array's industry-leading technology maximizes the amount of solar energy that a panel can generate, which saves costs in the long run. The company's business is almost entirely in the U.S. but there are plans to expand internationally as new markets demand more efficient solar systems. Given the lower cost of utility-solar and estimates that solar will only grow its share in the global energy mix, Array is a growth stock worth following as its fundamentals improve.</p>\n<h2>Dig this under-the-radar EV stock</h2>\n<p><b>Scott Levine (MP Materials): </b>Soaring steeply higher in its short time as a publicly traded company, Rivian's stock is charging into the hearts -- and portfolios -- of many EV-focused investors. While the stock is currently the talk of the town, there's another EV stock that represents another great growth opportunity, though it hardly finds itself in the limelight as Rivian currently does. MP Materials is a mining company that owns and operates Mountain Pass, where it mines and processes rare earth minerals. Although lithium is the mineral that is likely most familiar to renewable energy investors, rare earth minerals are critical components in the production of magnets used in EVs and other advanced motion technologies like wind turbines and drones.</p>\n<p>The bull case for MP Materials is predicated largely on the fact that rare earth minerals are, well, <i>rare --&nbsp;</i>not something you can easily find in your backyard -- so owning and operating one of the largest integrated rare earth mining and processing facilities in the world (as MP Materials proclaims to do) is fairly compelling. Add to that the fact that the United States has voiced a desire to shore up its supply of rare earth materials by distancing itself from China, where the majority of rare earth minerals are currently sourced, and MP Materials becomes even more attractive.</p>\n<p>During an investors presentation last year, MP Materials projected that its revenue would rise at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 53% from $75 million in 2019 to $415 million in 2023. But it wouldn't be surprising if the top line grows at an even greater clip than that. Through the first nine months of 2021, the company has reported revenue of $233 million, blowing past its earlier forecast of $171 million for all of 2021. Pivoting to the cash flow statement, investors will find that while this growth company has a long runway ahead of it, the company's risks are mitigated by the fact that it's cash-flow positive. Clearly, Wall Street has become progressively more optimistic about Apple’s upcoming earnings report.</p>\n<p>It is worth refreshing our memory on Apple’s own guidance for the quarter. This is what CFO Luca Maestri had to say, about three months ago (as paraphrased by the Apple Maven):</p>\n<blockquote>\n “No revenue outlook, only directional comments. Gross margin 41.5% to 42.5%; Opex $11.3 billion to $11.5 billion; Other income zero; Tax rate 16%.”\n</blockquote>\n<p>Key topics of conversation</p>\n<p>As usual, the iPhone will likely be a center-of-attention business. Not only do smartphones account for roughly half of Apple’s total revenues, but the segment also seems to have been a beneficiary of two successful product launches in the past 12 months: the 5G-ready iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.</p>\n<p>I have talked about the iPhone at length recently. First, the “super cycle thesis”seems to be proving right, at least judging by third-party research reports. However, keep in mind the&nbsp;debate around the supply chain challenges, as it could provide clues about device sales in the important holiday quarter.</p>\n<p>Services will likely be another hot topic. The bad news is that any potential drag&nbsp;from the App Store debacle&nbsp;may be reflected in the company’s guidance for fiscal first quarter, even if the impact may not be felt in fiscal Q4 results. The better news is that strength in the iPhone and other products could help to propel user engagement and consumption of Apple’s services, something that not even Apple’s management team might have been able to factor into their guidance last quarter.</p>\n<p>What to expect of AAPL stock</p>\n<p>A few months ago,I did a study on Apple share price behavior&nbsp;ahead of earnings seasons. At the median, AAPL has risen just short of 5% in the two weeks following the announcement of the company’s quarterly results. This is much better than Apple stock’s average two-week performance outside the earnings period – a.k.a. the “control group”. Now the company behind it has received interest from multiple suitors.</span></p>\n<p>Moonbug Entertainment Ltd., the company behind the hit children’s show “CoComelon,” is looking to cash in on its popularity by either selling itself or going public, according to people familiar with the matter.</p>\n<p>“CoComelon,” with its lilting nursery rhymes on subjects like putting on shoes, has been a&nbsp;breakout hit of the Covid-19 pandemic, with busy parents parking their children in front of the TV to sing along with computer-generated toddlers. It became even more popular when&nbsp;Netflix&nbsp;Inc.&nbsp;in July struck a deal to launch a spinoff of the series for three seasons.</p>\n<p>The company has&nbsp;received interest from multiple suitors&nbsp;and is seeking a valuation of more than $3 billion, some of the people said. One suitor is a company backed by private-equity giant&nbsp;Blackstone&nbsp;Inc.&nbsp;run by former&nbsp;Walt Disney&nbsp;Co.&nbsp;executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, the people said.</p>\n<p>There is no guarantee that the conversations with potential acquirers will result in a deal, the people said. Moonbug is also weighing an initial public offering, which executives believe would result in a valuation significantly higher than $3 billion, some of the people said.</p>\n<p>The growing appetite for TV shows and movies sparked by the rise of new streaming services has kicked off a flurry of mergers and acquisitions in Hollywood as independent studios look to cash in on the gold rush. Messrs. Mayer and Staggs are on the hunt for shows and movies they can build entertainment franchises around and recently spent $900 million&nbsp;to acquire Hello Sunshine, the media company founded by Reese Witherspoon. Last month, Netflix said it was buying the rights to&nbsp;stories by children’s author Roald Dahlfor an undisclosed sum.</p>\n<p>Moonbug is on pace to generate roughly $100 million in profit this year, according to people familiar with the matter, through a combination of licensing, advertising and selling merchandise related to its popular shows. Moonbug is expecting profits to double next year to roughly $200 million, as it acquires new shows and licenses them to distributors around the globe. By the end of 2021, Moonbug expects to have at least 100 licensing partners, up from 15 at the beginning of the year.</p>\n<p>Moonbug has raised $265 million from investors including Felix Capital,Goldman Sachs Group&nbsp;Inc.&nbsp;and merchant bank Raine Group, which owns a majority stake, one of the people said. The last funding round, a $120 million infusion in 2020, valued the company at nearly $1 billion, the person said.</p>\n<p>Moonbug is looking to meet the growing appetite for children’s content as the pipeline for popular shows from traditional TV networks runs dry. Demand for children’s content grew by nearly 58% since the beginning of 2020, according to Parrot Analytics, far outpacing the increase in overall demand for content.</p>\n<p>There weren’t any shows from traditional networks of the caliber of Nickelodeon’s “Paw Patrol” or “Dora the Explorer” to meet that demand, said Cyma Zarghami, the former president of&nbsp;ViacomCBS&nbsp;Inc.’s&nbsp;brand Nickelodeon who has founded her own children’s content company, Mimo Studios.</p>\n<p>London-based Moonbug was co-founded in 2018 by Rene Rechtman and John Robson, former employees of&nbsp;Disney&nbsp;and ViacomCBS’s Paramount Pictures. Moonbug scouts for popular children’s shows and characters on video platforms like YouTube—including the suspender-clad educational narrator “Blippi” and early-childhood series “Little Baby Bum”—and builds franchises that could include streaming-TV deals, movies and merchandise.</p>\n<p>Paying a steep premium for a content company carries risks. There is no guarantee that the pipeline of programming from Moonbug will produce shows as popular as early hits like “CoComelon.” The company could also face competition from buyers who identify emerging shows on YouTube and build franchises around them before they appear on Moonbug’s radar.</p>\n<p>Other companies in the children’s space have also explored cashing in.</p>\n<p>Pocketwatch Inc., which manages the popular children’s entertainment franchise “Ryan’s World,” recently tapped investment bank&nbsp;Lazard&nbsp;Ltd.to explore options that include selling the business or raising funding to bankroll acquisitions, according to people familiar with the matter. Pocketwatch follows a similar playbook to Moonbug, licensing popular video content with franchise potential, selling merchandise and developing spinoffs.</p>\n<p>Entertainment One, the studio behind Peppa Pig,sold in 2019&nbsp;to games company&nbsp;Hasbro&nbsp;Inc.&nbsp;for $3.8 billion.</p>\n<p>Moonbug got a major endorsement in July when Netflix ordered three seasons of “CoComelon Lane,” a spinoff of the popular “CoComelon” franchise on YouTube. “CoComelon” was already a hit on YouTube; it generated more than 1.5 billion views on the video platform over the last month, according to analytics firm Social Blade, which translated into as much as $6.1 million in advertising revenue.</p>\n<p>A deal for Moonbug Entertainment would be the second major deal struck by Messrs. Mayer and Staggs for their Blackstone-backed entertainment venture. It became even more popular when Netflix Inc. in July struck a deal to launch a spinoff of the series for three seasons.\nThe company has received interest from multiple suitors and is seeking a valuation of more than $3 billion, some of the people said. One suitor is a company backed by private-equity giant Blackstone Inc. run by former Walt Disney Co. executives Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs, the people said.\nThere is no guarantee that the conversations with potential acquirers will result in a deal, the people said. Moonbug is also weighing an initial public offering, which executives believe would result in a valuation significantly higher than $3 billion, some of the people said.\nThe growing appetite for TV shows and movies sparked by the rise of new streaming services has kicked off a flurry of mergers and acquisitions in Hollywood as independent studios look to cash in on the gold rush. Messrs. Mayer and Staggs are on the hunt for shows and movies they can build entertainment franchises around and recently spent $900 million to acquire Hello Sunshine, the media company founded by Reese Witherspoon. Last month, Netflix said it was buying the rights to stories by children’s author Roald Dahlfor an undisclosed sum.\nMoonbug is on pace to generate roughly $100 million in profit this year, according to people familiar with the matter, through a combination of licensing, advertising and selling merchandise related to its popular shows. Moonbug is expecting profits to double next year to roughly $200 million, as it acquires new shows and licenses them to distributors around the globe. By the end of 2021, Moonbug expects to have at least 100 licensing partners, up from 15 at the beginning of the year.\nMoonbug has raised $265 million from investors including Felix Capital,Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and merchant bank Raine Group, which owns a majority stake, one of the people said. While the Dow Jones is itself a flawed index -- it's share price-weighted, rather than market cap-weighted -- it nevertheless continues to motor higher over time, and therefore draws plenty of attention from Wall Street and investors.</p>\n<p>Among its 30 components are two Dow stocks investors can buy hand over fist in the fourth quarter, along with one widely held company that might be best off avoided to end the year.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F645875%2Fnyse-wall-street-trading-new-york-financial-stock-market-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"484\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Buy this Dow stock: <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CRM\">Salesforce</a></h2>\n<p>If there's one Dow stock I'd strongly encourage investors to dig into in the fourth quarter, and well beyond for that matter, it's cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions provider <b>Salesforce.com</b> (NYSE:CRM).</p>\n<p>Without getting overly technical, CRM software is used by consumer-facing businesses to enhance existing customer relationships and boost sales. Beyond just logging and accessing customer data in real-time, it can be used to oversee online marketing campaigns and run predictive analyses to determine which customers might be the likeliest to purchase new products or services. While the service industry has long been the most-logical purveyor of CRM solutions, we're witnessing nontraditional sectors and industries adopting it.</p>\n<p>Cloud-based CRM software sales are expected to grow by an annualized double-digit percentage through at least mid-decade, and Salesforce finds itself at the top of the mountain in this high-growth trend. When the curtain closed on 2020, Salesforce was responsible for 19.5% of all global CRM spending, according to IDC. By comparison, the No.'s 2 through 5 in worldwide share didn't even add up to Salesforce's share of the landscape.&nbsp; While anything is possible in the tech space, this market share lead looks practically insurmountable for the foreseeable future.</p>\n<p>CEO Marc Benioff also deserves heaps of praise for successfully executing a number of earnings-accretive acquisitions. The buyouts of MuleSoft, Tableau, and <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WORK\">Slack Technologies</a> have all expanded the Salesforce ecosystem and broadened its appeal to the small-and-medium-sized businesses that make it tick.</p>\n<p>Between organic growth potential and a steady diet of acquisitions, Benioff is forecasting $50 billion in full-year sales by fiscal 2026. That'd be up from a reported $21.3 billion in fiscal 2021. Mega-cap stocks rarely grow at such speed, which is why Salesforce is such an intriguing buy for the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F645875%2Fpharmacist-dispensing-drugs-patient-cost-getty.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Buy this Dow stock: <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WBA\">Walgreens Boots Alliance</a></h2>\n<p>A second Dow stock to buy hand over fist in the fourth quarter is pharmacy chain <b>Walgreens Boots Alliance</b> (NASDAQ:WBA).</p>\n<p>Generally, healthcare stocks are impervious to economic hiccups. Since we don't get to choose when we get sick or what ailment(s) we develop, there's a relatively constant demand for drugs, devices, and healthcare services in any economic environment. Pharmacy chains like Walgreens proved the exception to this rule during the pandemic. Since pharmacies are reliant on foot traffic into their stores, the coronavirus put a financial hurting on the entire industry. The good news, though, is this short-term pain is now in the rearview mirror.</p>\n<p>What should drive Walgreens' valuation higher is the multipoint turnaround plan that was put into motion more than a year ago. As you might expect, management is working on improving overall operating efficiency, which means cutting costs where it makes sense to do so. By the end of fiscal 2022, Walgreens Boots Alliance should be recognizing annual cost-savings of more than $2 billion.</p>\n<p>However, the company has been spending aggressively in other areas. In particular, there's a big focus on digitization. The pandemic was a stern reminder that direct-to-consumer sales need to be a focus, even for an industry that's long relied on its brick-and-mortar locations to drive results. Despite accounting for only a small percentage of total sales, online revenue can be a consistent double-digit growth opportunity moving forward.</p>\n<p>Also, don't overlook the July 2020 announcement that Walgreens is partnering with VillageMD to open up to 700 full-service clinics co-located in Walgreens' stores in over 30 U.S. markets. The key differentiator here is \"full-service\" clinics. With physician-staffed clinics, the expectation is this move will draw in repeat business and kick-start growth opportunities for Walgreens' higher-margin pharmacy.</p>\n<p>With a forward price-to-earnings ratio of about 9 and a 4.1% yield, Walgreens Boots Alliance is the value stock you don't want to pass up in Q4.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://g.foolcdn.com/image/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fg.foolcdn.com%2Feditorial%2Fimages%2F645875%2Faapl-ny-team-members-iphone-11.jpg&amp;w=700&amp;op=resize\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Image source: Apple.</span></p>\n<h2>Avoid this Dow stock: Apple</h2>\n<p>On the other hand, one widely owned Dow stock that might be best avoided in the fourth quarter is innovation kingpin <b>Apple</b> (NASDAQ:AAPL). Keep in mind that when I say \"avoid,\" I'm not suggesting folks sell their existing shares in the company. Rather, I foresee Apple encountering a handful of short-term headwinds that could temporarily weigh on its valuation.</p>\n<p>As many of you know, Apple does a lot of things right. It's no fluke that it's the most-valuable publicly traded company. Apple has exceptionally strong global brand recognition, and its iPhone is the most-popular smartphone purchased in the United States. If you need further evidence of Apple's lure, just take a gander at the lines wrapping around Apple's stores anytime a new product makes its debut.</p>\n<p>However, the world's most-valuable company is also up against some extremely difficult year-over-year comps for its top-selling product, the iPhone. Last year, Apple introduced its first 5G-capable smartphone, and the device flew off store shelves quicker than Wall Street could blink. Beyond just logging and accessing customer data in real-time, it can be used to oversee online marketing campaigns and run predictive analyses to determine which customers might be the likeliest to purchase new products or services. While the service industry has long been the most-logical purveyor of CRM solutions, we're witnessing nontraditional sectors and industries adopting it.\nCloud-based CRM software sales are expected to grow by an annualized double-digit percentage through at least mid-decade, and Salesforce finds itself at the top of the mountain in this high-growth trend. When the curtain closed on 2020, Salesforce was responsible for 19.5% of all global CRM spending, according to IDC. By comparison, the No.'s 2 through 5 in worldwide share didn't even add up to Salesforce's share of the landscape.  While anything is possible in the tech space, this market share lead looks practically insurmountable for the foreseeable future.\nCEO Marc Benioff also deserves heaps of praise for successfully executing a number of earnings-accretive acquisitions. The buyouts of MuleSoft, Tableau, and Slack Technologies have all expanded the Salesforce ecosystem and broadened its appeal to the small-and-medium-sized businesses that make it tick.\nBetween organic growth potential and a steady diet of acquisitions, Benioff is forecasting $50 billion in full-year sales by fiscal 2026. That'd be up from a reported $21.3 billion in fiscal 2021. Since we don't get to choose when we get sick or what ailment(s) we develop, there's a relatively constant demand for drugs, devices, and healthcare services in any economic environment. Pharmacy chains like Walgreens proved the exception to this rule during the pandemic. Since pharmacies are reliant on foot traffic into their stores, the coronavirus put a financial hurting on the entire industry. The good news, though, is this short-term pain is now in the rearview mirror.\nWhat should drive Walgreens' valuation higher is the multipoint turnaround plan that was put into motion more than a year ago. As you might expect, management is working on improving overall operating efficiency, which means cutting costs where it makes sense to do so. By the end of fiscal 2022, Walgreens Boots Alliance should be recognizing annual cost-savings of more than $2 billion.\nHowever, the company has been spending aggressively in other areas. In particular, there's a big focus on digitization. The pandemic was a stern reminder that direct-to-consumer sales need to be a focus, even for an industry that's long relied on its brick-and-mortar locations to drive results. Despite accounting for only a small percentage of total sales, online revenue can be a consistent double-digit growth opportunity moving forward.\nAlso, don't overlook the July 2020 announcement that Walgreens is partnering with VillageMD to open up to 700 full-service clinics co-located in Walgreens' stores in over 30 U.S. markets. The key differentiator here is \"full-service\" clinics. With physician-staffed clinics, the expectation is this move will draw in repeat business and kick-start growth opportunities for Walgreens' higher-margin pharmacy.\nWith a forward price-to-earnings ratio of about 9 and a 4.1% yield, Walgreens Boots Alliance is the value stock you don't want to pass up in Q4.\nImage source: Apple.\nAvoid this Dow stock: Apple\nOn the other hand, one widely owned Dow stock that might be best avoided in the fourth quarter is innovation kingpin Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). Keep in mind that when I say \"avoid,\" I'm not suggesting folks sell their existing shares in the company. Rather, I foresee Apple encountering a handful of short-term headwinds that could temporarily weigh on its valuation.\nAs many of you know, Apple does a lot of things right. It's no fluke that it's the most-valuable publicly traded company. Apple has exceptionally strong global brand recognition, and its iPhone is the most-popular smartphone purchased in the United States. If you need further evidence of Apple's lure, just take a gander at the lines wrapping around Apple's stores anytime a new product makes its debut.\nHowever, the world's most-valuable company is also up against some extremely difficult year-over-year comps for its top-selling product, the iPhone. And even with WTI's price rising 68% this year to $82.32 a barrel and feeding a bounce in energy-stock prices, there's a long way to go before it returns to its 10-year high.</p>\n<p>And that points to the simple quality test: Which energy companies with attractive dividend yields were able to avoid cutting their payouts through oil's brutal decline that reversed last year?</p>\n<p>Quality energy dividend stock screen</p>\n<p>There are 107 energy stocks in the Russell 3000 Index , which itself represents about 98% of the U.S. stock market by market capitalization. Among those stocks, 15 have dividend yields higher than 4%. That's a good yield in this market, where 10-year U.S. Treasury notes yield only 1.54%.</p>\n<p>Among those 15 companies, six have cut their dividends at least once over the past 10 years, while four (ONEOK Inc. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/OKE\">$(OKE)$</a>, Exxon Mobil Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/XOM\">$(XOM)$</a>, Valero Energy Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/VLO\">$(VLO)$</a> and Chevron Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CVX\">$(CVX)$</a>) not only avoided cutting their dividends, they raised them over the years. A fifth, <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/PSX\">Phillips 66</a> (PSX), initiated its dividend in 2012 and raised it from there. For several of the smaller companies on the list, this information isn't available.</p>\n<p>A company's free cash flow is its remaining cash flow after capital expenditures. It is money that can be used for dividend increases, share buybacks, business expansion or for other corporate purposes. We can estimate a company's free cash flow yield by dividing the 2022 FCF estimate by the current share price. Comparing the FCF yield to the current yield shows plenty of \"headroom\" for the five highlighted stocks, providing some comfort to investors that the dividends will continue to flow, and maybe be increased.</p>\n<p>Click here for a broader screen of dividend stocks incorporating FCF yields. For that screen, Bill McMahon, chief investment officer at Charles Schwab Asset Management, said he preferred to avoid the highest-yielding dividend stocks because the high yields (and low share prices) might indicate trouble ahead. A moderate yield combined with a high FCF yield might point to better growth characteristics for a company, he said.</p>\n<p>But during the same interview, McMahon also said it would be good to balance a portfolio of stocks with moderate dividend yields well supported by FCF with higher-yielding stocks for income. And even with WTI's price rising 68% this year to $82.32 a barrel and feeding a bounce in energy-stock prices, there's a long way to go before it returns to its 10-year high.</p>\n<p>And that points to the simple quality test: Which energy companies with attractive dividend yields were able to avoid cutting their payouts through oil's brutal decline that reversed last year?</p>\n<p>Quality energy dividend stock screen</p>\n<p>There are 107 energy stocks in the Russell 3000 Index , which itself represents about 98% of the U.S. stock market by market capitalization. Among those stocks, 15 have dividend yields higher than 4%. That's a good yield in this market, where 10-year U.S. Treasury notes yield only 1.54%.</p>\n<p>Among those 15 companies, six have cut their dividends at least once over the past 10 years, while four (ONEOK Inc. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/OKE\">$(OKE)$</a>, Exxon Mobil Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/XOM\">$(XOM)$</a>, Valero Energy Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/VLO\">$(VLO)$</a> and Chevron Corp. <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/CVX\">$(CVX)$</a>) not only avoided cutting their dividends, they raised them over the years. Beyond just logging and accessing customer data in real-time, it can be used to oversee online marketing campaigns and run predictive analyses to determine which customers might be the likeliest to purchase new products or services. While the service industry has long been the most-logical purveyor of CRM solutions, we're witnessing nontraditional sectors and industries adopting it.</p>\n<p>Cloud-based CRM software sales are expected to grow by an annualized double-digit percentage through at least mid-decade, and Salesforce finds itself at the top of the mountain in this high-growth trend. When the curtain closed on 2020, Salesforce was responsible for 19.5% of all global CRM spending, according to IDC. By comparison, the No.'s 2 through 5 in worldwide share didn't even add up to Salesforce's share of the landscape.&nbsp; While anything is possible in the tech space, this market share lead looks practically insurmountable for the foreseeable future.</p>\n<p>CEO Marc Benioff also deserves heaps of praise for successfully executing a number of earnings-accretive acquisitions. The buyouts of MuleSoft, Tableau, and <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WORK\">Slack Technologies</a> have all expanded the Salesforce ecosystem and broadened its appeal to the small-and-medium-sized businesses that make it tick.</p>\n<p>Between organic growth potential and a steady diet of acquisitions, Benioff is forecasting $50 billion in full-year sales by fiscal 2026. That'd be up from a reported $21.3 billion in fiscal 2021. Keep in mind that when I say \"avoid,\" I'm not suggesting folks sell their existing shares in the company. Rather, I foresee Apple encountering a handful of short-term headwinds that could temporarily weigh on its valuation.</p>\n<p>As many of you know, Apple does a lot of things right. It's no fluke that it's the most-valuable publicly traded company. Apple has exceptionally strong global brand recognition, and its iPhone is the most-popular smartphone purchased in the United States. If you need further evidence of Apple's lure, just take a gander at the lines wrapping around Apple's stores anytime a new product makes its debut.</p>\n<p>However, the world's most-valuable company is also up against some extremely difficult year-over-year comps for its top-selling product, the iPhone. Last year, Apple introduced its first 5G-capable smartphone, and the device flew off store shelves quicker than Wall Street could blink. The company generated record sales from its flagship product amid consumers' desire to upgrade their devices to take advantage of faster download speeds.</p>\n<p>The recently unveiled iPhone 13 only offered modest changes from its predecessor. While there are new colors to choose from, along with a faster processing chip and a higher-quality camera, the leap from iPhone 12 to iPhone 13 isn't nearly as groundbreaking as what we saw last year.&nbsp; Apple is probably going to have a very hard time meeting or surpassing last year's iPhone sales figures.</p>\n<p>The other issue is the growing likelihood that Democrats on Capitol Hill will pass a large infrastructure bill that'll increase peak marginal corporate income tax rates. Currently peaking at 21%, the corporate income tax rate is expected to land anywhere between 25% and 28% to pay for the ambitious infrastructure bill. Normally, a modestly higher corporate tax rate could be swept under the rug. But with Apple's earnings per share expected to be virtually stagnant in fiscal 2022, any tax reform could send its bottom line into reverse. While the service industry has long been the most-logical purveyor of CRM solutions, we're witnessing nontraditional sectors and industries adopting it.\nCloud-based CRM software sales are expected to grow by an annualized double-digit percentage through at least mid-decade, and Salesforce finds itself at the top of the mountain in this high-growth trend. When the curtain closed on 2020, Salesforce was responsible for 19.5% of all global CRM spending, according to IDC. By comparison, the No.'s 2 through 5 in worldwide share didn't even add up to Salesforce's share of the landscape.  While anything is possible in the tech space, this market share lead looks practically insurmountable for the foreseeable future.\nCEO Marc Benioff also deserves heaps of praise for successfully executing a number of earnings-accretive acquisitions. Keep in mind that these high levels of growth will be against&nbsp;very easy comps last year&nbsp;that were impacted by COVID-19 and the delayed launch of the iPhone 12.</p>\n<p>On earnings, consensus points at EPS of $1.24 vs. a much lower $0.73 this time last year. Fiscal Q4 consensus EPS has inched higher by about a penny in the past few weeks and moved up by around a dime since right before last quarter’s earnings season. Clearly, Wall Street has become progressively more optimistic about Apple’s upcoming earnings report.</p>\n<p>It is worth refreshing our memory on Apple’s own guidance for the quarter. This is what CFO Luca Maestri had to say, about three months ago (as paraphrased by the Apple Maven):</p>\n<blockquote>\n “No revenue outlook, only directional comments. If COVID-19 impact does not worsen, expect double-digit growth in sales, but lower than the 36% of the June quarter due to FX at three percentage points of drag, services going back to ‘normal’, and supply constraints greater this time on iPhone and iPad. Gross margin 41.5% to 42.5%; Opex $11.3 billion to $11.5 billion; Other income zero; Tax rate 16%.”\n</blockquote>\n<p>Key topics of conversation</p>\n<p>As usual, the iPhone will likely be a center-of-attention business. Not only do smartphones account for roughly half of Apple’s total revenues, but the segment also seems to have been a beneficiary of two successful product launches in the past 12 months: the 5G-ready iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.</p>\n<p>I have talked about the iPhone at length recently. First, the “super cycle thesis”seems to be proving right, at least judging by third-party research reports. However, keep in mind the&nbsp;debate around the supply chain challenges, as it could provide clues about device sales in the important holiday quarter.</p>\n<p>Services will likely be another hot topic. The bad news is that any potential drag&nbsp;from the App Store debacle&nbsp;may be reflected in the company’s guidance for fiscal first quarter, even if the impact may not be felt in fiscal Q4 results. The better news is that strength in the iPhone and other products could help to propel user engagement and consumption of Apple’s services, something that not even Apple’s management team might have been able to factor into their guidance last quarter.</p>\n<p>What to expect of AAPL stock</p>\n<p>A few months ago,I did a study on Apple share price behavior&nbsp;ahead of earnings seasons. At the median, AAPL has risen just short of 5% in the two weeks following the announcement of the company’s quarterly results. This is much better than Apple stock’s average two-week performance outside the earnings period – a.k.a. the “control group”. Not only do smartphones account for roughly half of Apple’s total revenues, but the segment also seems to have been a beneficiary of two successful product launches in the past 12 months: the 5G-ready iPhone 12 and iPhone 13.\nI have talked about the iPhone at length recently. First, the “super cycle thesis”seems to be proving right, at least judging by third-party research reports. However, keep in mind the debate around the supply chain challenges, as it could provide clues about device sales in the important holiday quarter.\nServices will likely be another hot topic. The bad news is that any potential drag from the App Store debacle may be reflected in the company’s guidance for fiscal first quarter, even if the impact may not be felt in fiscal Q4 results. The better news is that strength in the iPhone and other products could help to propel user engagement and consumption of Apple’s services, something that not even Apple’s management team might have been able to factor into their guidance last quarter.\nWhat to expect of AAPL stock\nA few months ago,I did a study on Apple share price behavior ahead of earnings seasons.
