Its adjusted net loss widened from $13 million to $14.8 million, or $0.06 per share, which also topped expectations by a penny per share.</p>\n<p>Unity now expects its revenue to rise 40% for the full year, compared to its previous guidance for 35% to 37% growth. It also announced its plans to buy Weta Digital, the visual effects studio which was co-founded by <i>The Lord of the Ring</i>s director Peter Jackson, for $1.63 billion in cash and stock. It expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>Unity's growth is impressive, but its stock already trades at nearly 50 times this year's sales. Is it too late to invest in Unity at these valuations?</p>\n<h2>What does Unity do?</h2>\n<p>In the past, game developers built most of their rendering, animation, lighting, physics, sound, and user interfaces from scratch. Those features needed to be rewritten for different gaming platforms like PCs and consoles.</p>\n<p>Unity's game engine, which was initially launched in 2004, simplified that costly and time-consuming process by bundling all those tools into a cross-platform software suite. Developers can create an entire game once within Unity's engine, and it can seamlessly run across multiple gaming platforms.</p>\n<p>Today, more than half of the world's PC, console, and mobile games are built with Unity's game engine, and it now provides additional tools for integrating ads, in-app purchases, multiplayer support, communication services, and analytics tools into games. It also gradually expanded beyond its core gaming market with 2D and 3D applications for non-gaming markets.</p>\n<h2>How fast is Unity growing?</h2>\n<p>Unity's revenue rose 42% in 2019, grew 43% in 2020, and is on track for 40% growth this year. Analysts expect its revenue to rise 28% in 2022.</p>\n<p>Unity operates three main businesses: Its Create Solutions segment, which hosts its subscription-based game engine and development tools for non-gaming markets; its Operate Solutions segment, which provides its add-on services with usage-based and revenue-sharing plans; and its Strategic Partnerships and Other segment, which generates revenue from its partnerships with hardware and software makers. All three businesses grew their revenues year over year throughout the first nine months of 2021:</p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"605\">\n <colgroup></colgroup>\n <tbody>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <th width=\"202\"><p>Segment</p></th>\n <th width=\"204\"><p>Revenue (9M 2021)</p></th>\n <th width=\"155\"><p>Growth (YOY)</p></th>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Create Solutions</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$226.7 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>38%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Operate Solutions</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$514.5 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>53%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Strategic Partnerships and Other</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$53.4 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>5%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Total</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$794.7 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>44%</p></td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Source: Unity. YOY = Year over year.</p>\n<p>The robust growth of its Operate Solutions segment is particularly encouraging since its add-on services enable Unity to boost its revenue per existing customer as well as improve the stickiness of its ecosystem.</p>\n<p>That's why Unity's dollar-based net expansion rate (DBNER), which gauges its year-over-year growth in revenue from existing customers over the previous 12 months, continuously rose over the past three years:</p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"597\">\n <colgroup></colgroup>\n <tbody>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <th width=\"109\"><p>Period</p></th>\n <th width=\"98\"><p>FY 2018</p></th>\n <th width=\"101\"><p>FY 2019</p></th>\n <th width=\"109\"><p>FY 2020</p></th>\n <th width=\"108\"><p>9M 2021</p></th>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"109\"><p>DBNER</p></td>\n <td width=\"98\"><p>124%</p></td>\n <td width=\"101\"><p>133%</p></td>\n <td width=\"109\"><p>138%</p></td>\n <td width=\"108\"><p>142%</p></td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Source: Unity.</p>\n<p>Unity's ability to consistently generate more than 40% revenue growth as it increases its DBNER is extremely rare for a high-growth company. Many other companies that use that metric -- including the cloud-based communication services provider <b>Twilio</b> -- have posted a declining DBNER as they rely more heavily on acquisitions for consistent revenue growth.</p>\n<p>Unity ended 2020 with a negative adjusted operating margin of 7%, and it remains deeply unprofitable on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis. However, it expects its adjusted operating margin to improve to negative 5% to 6% this year, even after it acquires Weta Digital.</p>\n<p>Unity won't turn profitable anytime soon, but it has plenty of pricing power, and its adjusted losses should stabilize as economies of scale kick in. Its adjusted net loss widened from $13 million to $14.8 million, or $0.06 per share, which also topped expectations by a penny per share.\nUnity now expects its revenue to rise 40% for the full year, compared to its previous guidance for 35% to 37% growth. It also announced its plans to buy Weta Digital, the visual effects studio which was co-founded by The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, for $1.63 billion in cash and stock. It expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter.\nUnity's growth is impressive, but its stock already trades at nearly 50 times this year's sales. Is it too late to invest in Unity at these valuations?\nWhat does Unity do?\nIn the past, game developers built most of their rendering, animation, lighting, physics, sound, and user interfaces from scratch. Those features needed to be rewritten for different gaming platforms like PCs and consoles.\nUnity's game engine, which was initially launched in 2004, simplified that costly and time-consuming process by bundling all those tools into a cross-platform software suite. Developers can create an entire game once within Unity's engine, and it can seamlessly run across multiple gaming platforms.\nToday, more than half of the world's PC, console, and mobile games are built with Unity's game engine, and it now provides additional tools for integrating ads, in-app purchases, multiplayer support, communication services, and analytics tools into games. It also gradually expanded beyond its core gaming market with 2D and 3D applications for non-gaming markets.\nHow fast is Unity growing?\nUnity's revenue rose 42% in 2019, grew 43% in 2020, and is on track for 40% growth this year. Analysts expect its revenue to rise 28% in 2022.\nUnity operates three main businesses: Its Create Solutions segment, which hosts its subscription-based game engine and development tools for non-gaming markets; its Operate Solutions segment, which provides its add-on services with usage-based and revenue-sharing plans; and its Strategic Partnerships and Other segment, which generates revenue from its partnerships with hardware and software makers. All three businesses grew their revenues year over year throughout the first nine months of 2021:\n\n\n\n\nSegment\nRevenue (9M 2021)\nGrowth (YOY)\n\n\nCreate Solutions\n$226.7 million\n38%\n\n\nOperate Solutions\n$514.5 million\n53%\n\n\nStrategic Partnerships and Other\n$53.4 million\n5%\n\n\nTotal\n$794.7 million\n44%\n\n\n\nSource: Unity. YOY = Year over year.\nThe robust growth of its Operate Solutions segment is particularly encouraging since its add-on services enable Unity to boost its revenue per existing customer as well as improve the stickiness of its ecosystem.\nThat's why Unity's dollar-based net expansion rate (DBNER), which gauges its year-over-year growth in revenue from existing customers over the previous 12 months, continuously rose over the past three years:\n\n\n\n\nPeriod\nFY 2018\nFY 2019\nFY 2020\n9M 2021\n\n\nDBNER\n124%\n133%\n138%\n142%\n\n\n\nSource: Unity.\nUnity's ability to consistently generate more than 40% revenue growth as it increases its DBNER is extremely rare for a high-growth company. Many other companies that use that metric -- including the cloud-based communication services provider Twilio -- have posted a declining DBNER as they rely more heavily on acquisitions for consistent revenue growth.\nUnity ended 2020 with a negative adjusted operating margin of 7%, and it remains deeply unprofitable on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis. However, it expects its adjusted operating margin to improve to negative 5% to 6% this year, even after it acquires Weta Digital.\nUnity won't turn profitable anytime soon, but it has plenty of pricing power, and its adjusted losses should stabilize as economies of scale kick in. It also won't run out of cash anytime soon: It ended last quarter with $1.28 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and its low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.4 gives it plenty of room to take on more debt for additional investments.\nBut is it too late to buy Unity?\nUnity's valuation is high, but I don't think it's too late to buy the stock for three simple reasons:\n\nIt's an established market leader.\nIts ecosystem is sticky.\nIt's growing faster than the gaming market.\n\nThe global gaming market could grow at a compound annual growth rate of 12.9% between 2020 and 2027, according to Grand View Research. If Unity simply matches that growth rate, its annual revenue could increase from $772 million in 2020 to about $1.8 billion in 2027.\nBut if Unity can maintain an average annual growth rate of at least 30% from 2021 to 2027, its revenue could top $5.2 billion by the final year. So even if Unity's price-to-sales ratio cools off from 50 to 20, the company could be worth well over $100 billion -- about twice its current value -- by 2027.\nTherefore, if you believe Unity will continue to grow faster than the global gaming market as it expands its add-on services and non-gaming tools, then it's definitely not too late to buy this high-growth stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":564,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":859591262,"gmtCreate":1634707618535,"gmtModify":1634707618922,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/859591262","repostId":"1123194504","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1123194504","pubTimestamp":1634699967,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1123194504?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-10-20 11:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"What actually happened during GameStop mania?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1123194504","media":"CNN Business","summary":"London (CNN Business) - In late January, there was one question on the minds of investors: How did a","content":"<p><b>London (CNN Business) - </b>In late January, there was one question on the minds of investors: How did a struggling mall-based video game retailer became Wall Street's hottest stock, seemingly overnight?</p>\n<p>Now, after months of research, the industry's top regulator has answers — and its findings could pave the way for major reforms to how financial markets function as amateur traders remain a powerful force.</p>\n<p>What's happening: The US Securities and Exchange Commission just released a44-page reportexaminingGameStop(GME)mania, the early 2021 phenomenon in which the company's shares, plugged by enthusiasts on social media, rocketed about 2,700% in a matter of weeks.</p>\n<p>Other companies, including movie theater chain AMC Entertainment(AMC), electronics company Koss(KOSS) and clothing chain Express(EXPR), also logged astronomical gains as online hype reached a fever pitch.</p>\n<p>The report is full of interesting findings about the so-called \"meme stock\" craze. Here are some of the highlights.</p>\n<p>It really was wild.The SEC found that the number of unique accounts trading GameStop on a given day rose to nearly 900,000 by Jan. 27, up from fewer than 10,000 at the beginning of the month.</p>\n<p>And the volume of stock changing hands was massive. Between Jan. 13 and Jan. 29, an average of 100 million GameStop shares were traded per day, up 1,400% from the 2020 average.</p>\n<p>The action wasn't just limited to GameStop. More than 100 stocks \"experienced large price moves or increased trading volume that significantly exceeded broader market movements,\" the SEC said.</p>\n<p>Some theories were off. One reason GameStop generated so much attention was because it fit a compelling David versus Goliath narrative, in which a band of renegade traders coordinating on platforms like Reddit successfully took on big hedge funds that had placed bets against GameStop. When the company's share price rose dramatically, those hedge funds allegedly had to buy stock in the company to cover their positions, triggering even bigger gains.</p>\n<p>That did happen. But the SEC found that \"such buying was a small fraction of overall buy volume,\" and that it was \"positive sentiment, not the buying-to-cover, that sustained the weeks-long price appreciation of GameStop stock.\"</p>\n<p>Robinhood is under the microscope. The SEC thinks regulators should take a closer look at how popular trading apps function. Here are some of the highlights.\nIt really was wild.The SEC found that the number of unique accounts trading GameStop on a given day rose to nearly 900,000 by Jan. 27, up from fewer than 10,000 at the beginning of the month.\nAnd the volume of stock changing hands was massive. Between Jan. 13 and Jan. 29, an average of 100 million GameStop shares were traded per day, up 1,400% from the 2020 average.\nThe action wasn't just limited to GameStop. More than 100 stocks \"experienced large price moves or increased trading volume that significantly exceeded broader market movements,\" the SEC said.\nSome theories were off. One reason GameStop generated so much attention was because it fit a compelling David versus Goliath narrative, in which a band of renegade traders coordinating on platforms like Reddit successfully took on big hedge funds that had placed bets against GameStop. When the company's share price rose dramatically, those hedge funds allegedly had to buy stock in the company to cover their positions, triggering even bigger gains.\nThat did happen. But the SEC found that \"such buying was a small fraction of overall buy volume,\" and that it was \"positive sentiment, not the buying-to-cover, that sustained the weeks-long price appreciation of GameStop stock.\"\nRobinhood is under the microscope. The SEC thinks regulators should take a closer look at how popular trading apps function. That could put pressure on the company, which went public in July.\n\"Consideration should be given to whether game-like features and celebratory animations that are likely intended to create positive feedback from trading lead investors to trade more than they would otherwise,\" the report said.\nThe SEC also said the practice at the center of Robinhood's business model, known as \"payment for order flow,\" could compel the company to find \"novel ways to increase customer trading.\"\nWhen an investor places an order to buy a stock on its app, Robinhood routes the order to a market maker like Citadel Securities, which then handles execution — and pays Robinhood for that privilege. SEC Chair Gary Gensler has previously indicated he's skeptical of payment for order flow.\nBig picture: The report didn't include specific policy recommendations. But it could help Gensler's SEC eventually make changes to how markets function.\n\"January's events gave us an opportunity to consider how we can further our efforts to make the equity markets as fair, orderly and efficient as possible,\" Gensler, who was nominated by President Joe Biden, said in a statement Monday.\nBut SEC Commissioners Hester Peirce and Elad Roisman, who are Republican appointees, said in a separate statement that the report went too far.\n\"In the wake of an anomalous market event, it can be tempting to identify a convenient scapegoat and leverage the event to pursue regulatory actions without regard to the factual record,\" they said, adding that the report, \"finds no causal connection between the meme stock volatility\" and a practice such as payment for order flow \"that has drawn recent popular attention.\"","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":596,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":603840782,"gmtCreate":1638401698042,"gmtModify":1638401698341,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Lolz.. the market so weak…","listText":"Lolz.. the market so weak…","text":"Lolz.. the market so weak…","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/603840782","repostId":"1196358645","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":397,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":871911631,"gmtCreate":1637018833431,"gmtModify":1637027401027,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Upupup","listText":"Upupup","text":"Upupup","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/871911631","repostId":"2183027403","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2183027403","pubTimestamp":1636988541,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2183027403?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-15 23:02","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Is It Too Late to Buy Unity Software Stock?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2183027403","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"The game engine maker's stock just a hit an all-time high.","content":"<p><b>Unity Software</b>'s (NYSE:U) stock price soared to an all-time high after the software development company posted its third-quarter earnings on Nov. 10.</p>\n<p>Its revenue rose 43% year over year to $286.3 million, beating estimates by nearly $20 million. Its adjusted net loss widened from $13 million to $14.8 million, or $0.06 per share, which also topped expectations by a penny per share.</p>\n<p>Unity now expects its revenue to rise 40% for the full year, compared to its previous guidance for 35% to 37% growth. It also announced its plans to buy Weta Digital, the visual effects studio which was co-founded by <i>The Lord of the Ring</i>s director Peter Jackson, for $1.63 billion in cash and stock. It expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>Unity's growth is impressive, but its stock already trades at nearly 50 times this year's sales. Is it too late to invest in Unity at these valuations?</p>\n<h2>What does Unity do?</h2>\n<p>In the past, game developers built most of their rendering, animation, lighting, physics, sound, and user interfaces from scratch. Those features needed to be rewritten for different gaming platforms like PCs and consoles.</p>\n<p>Unity's game engine, which was initially launched in 2004, simplified that costly and time-consuming process by bundling all those tools into a cross-platform software suite. Developers can create an entire game once within Unity's engine, and it can seamlessly run across multiple gaming platforms.</p>\n<p>Today, more than half of the world's PC, console, and mobile games are built with Unity's game engine, and it now provides additional tools for integrating ads, in-app purchases, multiplayer support, communication services, and analytics tools into games. It also gradually expanded beyond its core gaming market with 2D and 3D applications for non-gaming markets.</p>\n<h2>How fast is Unity growing?</h2>\n<p>Unity's revenue rose 42% in 2019, grew 43% in 2020, and is on track for 40% growth this year. Analysts expect its revenue to rise 28% in 2022.</p>\n<p>Unity operates three main businesses: Its Create Solutions segment, which hosts its subscription-based game engine and development tools for non-gaming markets; its Operate Solutions segment, which provides its add-on services with usage-based and revenue-sharing plans; and its Strategic Partnerships and Other segment, which generates revenue from its partnerships with hardware and software makers. All three businesses grew their revenues year over year throughout the first nine months of 2021:</p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"605\">\n <colgroup></colgroup>\n <tbody>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <th width=\"202\"><p>Segment</p></th>\n <th width=\"204\"><p>Revenue (9M 2021)</p></th>\n <th width=\"155\"><p>Growth (YOY)</p></th>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Create Solutions</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$226.7 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>38%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Operate Solutions</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$514.5 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>53%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Strategic Partnerships and Other</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$53.4 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>5%</p></td>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"202\"><p>Total</p></td>\n <td width=\"204\"><p>$794.7 million</p></td>\n <td width=\"155\"><p>44%</p></td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Source: Unity. YOY = Year over year.</p>\n<p>The robust growth of its Operate Solutions segment is particularly encouraging since its add-on services enable Unity to boost its revenue per existing customer as well as improve the stickiness of its ecosystem.</p>\n<p>That's why Unity's dollar-based net expansion rate (DBNER), which gauges its year-over-year growth in revenue from existing customers over the previous 12 months, continuously rose over the past three years:</p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"597\">\n <colgroup></colgroup>\n <tbody>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <th width=\"109\"><p>Period</p></th>\n <th width=\"98\"><p>FY 2018</p></th>\n <th width=\"101\"><p>FY 2019</p></th>\n <th width=\"109\"><p>FY 2020</p></th>\n <th width=\"108\"><p>9M 2021</p></th>\n </tr>\n <tr valign=\"TOP\">\n <td width=\"109\"><p>DBNER</p></td>\n <td width=\"98\"><p>124%</p></td>\n <td width=\"101\"><p>133%</p></td>\n <td width=\"109\"><p>138%</p></td>\n <td width=\"108\"><p>142%</p></td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Source: Unity.</p>\n<p>Unity's ability to consistently generate more than 40% revenue growth as it increases its DBNER is extremely rare for a high-growth company. Many other companies that use that metric -- including the cloud-based communication services provider <b>Twilio</b> -- have posted a declining DBNER as they rely more heavily on acquisitions for consistent revenue growth.</p>\n<p>Unity ended 2020 with a negative adjusted operating margin of 7%, and it remains deeply unprofitable on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis. However, it expects its adjusted operating margin to improve to negative 5% to 6% this year, even after it acquires Weta Digital.</p>\n<p>Unity won't turn profitable anytime soon, but it has plenty of pricing power, and its adjusted losses should stabilize as economies of scale kick in. It also won't run out of cash anytime soon: It ended last quarter with $1.28 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and its low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.4 gives it plenty of room to take on more debt for additional investments.</p>\n<h2>But is it too late to buy Unity?</h2>\n<p>Unity's valuation is high, but I don't think it's too late to buy the stock for three simple reasons:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>It's an established market leader.</li>\n <li>Its ecosystem is sticky.</li>\n <li>It's growing faster than the gaming market.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>The global gaming market could grow at a compound annual growth rate of 12.9% between 2020 and 2027, according to Grand View Research. If Unity simply matches that growth rate, its annual revenue could increase from $772 million in 2020 to about $1.8 billion in 2027.</p>\n<p>But if Unity can maintain an average annual growth rate of at least 30% from 2021 to 2027, its revenue could top $5.2 billion by the final year. So even if Unity's price-to-sales ratio cools off from 50 to 20, the company could be worth well over $100 billion -- about twice its current value -- by 2027.</p>\n<p>Therefore, if you believe Unity will continue to grow faster than the global gaming market as it expands its add-on services and non-gaming tools, then it's definitely not too late to buy this high-growth stock.</p>","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=utf-8\" />\n<meta name=\"viewport\" content=\"width=device-width,initial-scale=1.0,minimum-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no\"/>\n<meta name=\"format-detection\" content=\"telephone=no,email=no,address=no\" />\n<title>Is It Too Late to Buy Unity Software Stock?</title>\n<style type=\"text/css\">\na,abbr,acronym,address,applet,article,aside,audio,b,big,blockquote,body,canvas,caption,center,cite,code,dd,del,details,dfn,div,dl,dt,\nem,embed,fieldset,figcaption,figure,footer,form,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,header,hgroup,html,i,iframe,img,ins,kbd,label,legend,li,mark,menu,nav,\nobject,ol,output,p,pre,q,ruby,s,samp,section,small,span,strike,strong,sub,summary,sup,table,tbody,td,tfoot,th,thead,time,tr,tt,u,ul,var,video{ font:inherit;margin:0;padding:0;vertical-align:baseline;border:0 }\nbody{ font-size:16px; line-height:1.5; color:#999; background:transparent; }\n.wrapper{ overflow:hidden;word-break:break-all;padding:10px; }\nh1,h2{ font-weight:normal; line-height:1.35; margin-bottom:.6em; }\nh3,h4,h5,h6{ line-height:1.35; margin-bottom:1em; }\nh1{ font-size:24px; }\nh2{ font-size:20px; }\nh3{ font-size:18px; }\nh4{ font-size:16px; }\nh5{ font-size:14px; }\nh6{ font-size:12px; }\np,ul,ol,blockquote,dl,table{ margin:1.2em 0; }\nul,ol{ margin-left:2em; }\nul{ list-style:disc; }\nol{ list-style:decimal; }\nli,li p{ margin:10px 0;}\nimg{ max-width:100%;display:block;margin:0 auto 1em; }\nblockquote{ color:#B5B2B1; border-left:3px solid #aaa; padding:1em; }\nstrong,b{font-weight:bold;}\nem,i{font-style:italic;}\ntable{ width:100%;border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:1px;margin:1em 0;font-size:.9em; }\nth,td{ padding:5px;text-align:left;border:1px solid #aaa; }\nth{ font-weight:bold;background:#5d5d5d; }\n.symbol-link{font-weight:bold;}\n/* header{ border-bottom:1px solid #494756; } */\n.title{ margin:0 0 8px;line-height:1.3;color:#ddd; }\n.meta {color:#5e5c6d;font-size:13px;margin:0 0 .5em; }\na{text-decoration:none; color:#2a4b87;}\n.meta .head { display: inline-block; overflow: hidden}\n.head .h-thumb { width: 30px; height: 30px; margin: 0; padding: 0; border-radius: 50%; float: left;}\n.head .h-content { margin: 0; padding: 0 0 0 9px; float: left;}\n.head .h-name {font-size: 13px; color: #eee; margin: 0;}\n.head .h-time {font-size: 11px; color: #7E829C; margin: 0;line-height: 11px;}\n.small {font-size: 12.5px; display: inline-block; transform: scale(0.9); -webkit-transform: scale(0.9); transform-origin: left; -webkit-transform-origin: left;}\n.smaller {font-size: 12.5px; display: inline-block; transform: scale(0.8); -webkit-transform: scale(0.8); transform-origin: left; -webkit-transform-origin: left;}\n.bt-text {font-size: 12px;margin: 1.5em 0 0 0}\n.bt-text p {margin: 0}\n</style>\n</head>\n<body>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<header>\n<h2 class=\"title\">\nIs It Too Late to Buy Unity Software Stock?\n</h2>\n\n<h4 class=\"meta\">\n\n\n2021-11-15 23:02 GMT+8 <a href=https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/11/15/is-it-too-late-to-buy-unity-software-stock/><strong>Motley Fool</strong></a>\n\n\n</h4>\n\n</header>\n<article>\n<div>\n<p>Unity Software's (NYSE:U) stock price soared to an all-time high after the software development company posted its third-quarter earnings on Nov. 10.\nIts revenue rose 43% year over year to $286.3 ...</p>\n\n<a href=\"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/11/15/is-it-too-late-to-buy-unity-software-stock/\">Web Link</a>\n\n</div>\n\n\n</article>\n</div>\n</body>\n</html>\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"U":"Unity Software Inc."},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/11/15/is-it-too-late-to-buy-unity-software-stock/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2183027403","content_text":"Unity Software's (NYSE:U) stock price soared to an all-time high after the software development company posted its third-quarter earnings on Nov. 10.\nIts revenue rose 43% year over year to $286.3 million, beating estimates by nearly $20 million. Many other companies that use that metric -- including the cloud-based communication services provider Twilio -- have posted a declining DBNER as they rely more heavily on acquisitions for consistent revenue growth.\nUnity ended 2020 with a negative adjusted operating margin of 7%, and it remains deeply unprofitable on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis. However, it expects its adjusted operating margin to improve to negative 5% to 6% this year, even after it acquires Weta Digital.\nUnity won't turn profitable anytime soon, but it has plenty of pricing power, and its adjusted losses should stabilize as economies of scale kick in. It also won't run out of cash anytime soon: It ended last quarter with $1.28 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities, and its low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.4 gives it plenty of room to take on more debt for additional investments.\nBut is it too late to buy Unity?\nUnity's valuation is high, but I don't think it's too late to buy the stock for three simple reasons:\n\nIt's an established market leader.\nIts ecosystem is sticky.\nIt's growing faster than the gaming market.\n\nThe global gaming market could grow at a compound annual growth rate of 12.9% between 2020 and 2027, according to Grand View Research. If Unity simply matches that growth rate, its annual revenue could increase from $772 million in 2020 to about $1.8 billion in 2027.\nBut if Unity can maintain an average annual growth rate of at least 30% from 2021 to 2027, its revenue could top $5.2 billion by the final year. So even if Unity's price-to-sales ratio cools off from 50 to 20, the company could be worth well over $100 billion -- about twice its current value -- by 2027.\nTherefore, if you believe Unity will continue to grow faster than the global gaming market as it expands its add-on services and non-gaming tools, then it's definitely not too late to buy this high-growth stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":564,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":827754768,"gmtCreate":1634526650056,"gmtModify":1634526777183,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TIGR\">$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$</a>Relax... just buy buy buy!","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TIGR\">$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$</a>Relax... just buy buy buy!","text":"$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$Relax... just buy buy buy!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/827754768","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":497,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":826641624,"gmtCreate":1634018224338,"gmtModify":1634018224469,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SOFI\">$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$</a>Go up plz!","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SOFI\">$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$</a>Go up plz!","text":"$SoFi Technologies Inc.(SOFI)$Go up plz!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/826641624","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":533,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":826641911,"gmtCreate":1634018179469,"gmtModify":1634018179590,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/C6L.SI\">$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$</a>Go go go","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/C6L.SI\">$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$</a>Go go go","text":"$SINGAPORE AIRLINES LTD(C6L.SI)$Go go go","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/e4d3eb5eb2cc03cc9d446c666ca57118","width":"1284","height":"2538"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/826641911","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":597,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":603857742,"gmtCreate":1638401632028,"gmtModify":1638401632407,"author":{"id":"3575528814174823","authorId":"3575528814174823","name":"Glenn101","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9a6dce55b58bcea0be9143c1569dc7bd","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TIGR\">$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$</a>Buy buy buy","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/TIGR\">$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$</a>Buy buy buy","text":"$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$Buy buy buy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/603857742","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":496,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
