After more than doubling in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, the virtual visit platform has been more than halved this year. But if analyst Sean Dodge of RBC Capital proves accurate in his estimate, Teladoc could rocket 126% higher to a price target of $215 in 2022.</p>\n<p>While critics would argue that Teladoc's sales growth in 2020 was a flash in the pan, the company's growth prior to the pandemic suggests otherwise. In the six years leading up to the pandemic, it grew sales by an annual average of 74%.</p>\n<p>The fact is that Teladoc is changing the face of personalized care. Its virtual visit platform is more convenient for patients and can allow physicians to keep closer tabs on chronically ill people. This should ultimately result in improved patient outcomes and lower costs for health insurers. This latter is particularly important since it means insurers will promote the use of telemedicine, when applicable.</p>\n<p>Teladoc's supercharged growth also comes on the heels of its acquisition of leading applied health signals company Livongo Health a year ago. Livongo uses artificial intelligence to send tips and nudges to its enrolled members with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes and hypertension. The ability for Teladoc and Livongo to cross-sell should help the company maintain jaw-dropping growth potential.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f46d76c781cc47d68033914c1c794a63\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"467\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Trulieve Cannabis: Implied upside of 169%</h2>\n<p>If there's an industry where Wall Street's price targets are consistently well above where the underlying stocks are currently trading, it's cannabis -- specifically U.S. cannabis. If the prognostication of Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Pablo Zuanic proves correct, marijuana stock <b>Trulieve Cannabis</b> (OTC:TCNNF) could hit $72 in 2022.&nbsp; That represents upside of 169%, relative to where shares closed last week.</p>\n<p>Like most multi-state operators (MSO), Trulieve is letting its retail operations do most of the work. But Trulieve took a different path to growth than most MSOs. Instead of trying to plant its proverbial flag in as many legalized states as possible, Trulieve focused most of its attention on saturating medical marijuana-legal Florida. Less than a week ago, it opened its 112th dispensary in the Sunshine State, which compares to 47 outside of Florida.</p>\n<p>Focusing on a single high-dollar market has its perks. Since Trulieve controls well over a quarter of all statewide dispensaries in Florida, it doesn't have to spend much on marketing. Not having to budget a lot of money to build up its brands has resulted in three consecutive years of profitability for the company.</p>\n<p>The next exciting step for Trulieve is inorganic growth. In October, it closed the biggest deal in U.S. cannabis history by purchasing MSO Harvest Health &amp; Recreation. Harvest has a dominant presence in its home market of Arizona, which legalized adult-use weed in November 2020. With a huge presence in Florida and now other high-dollar markets, Trulieve's shares do appear inexpensive.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/adeabde34f734ed7e50341c423f99b88\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Root: Implied upside of 240%</h2>\n<p>Small-cap stocks are expected to get in on the action, too. Following an abysmal year that's seen shares of insurance company <b>Root</b> (NASDAQ:ROOT) decline by 79%, at least <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> investment bank is expecting a big rebound. Based on Wall Street's high price target of $11, Root offers upside of 240% in 2022.</p>\n<p>For decades, the auto insurance industry has used an assortment of metrics, such as credit scores, age, and marital status, to determine how much their members should pay each month. Unfortunately, these figures don't actually tell insurance companies how well or poor of a driver someone is. Root is aiming to disrupt this stodgy industry by relying on telematics.</p>\n<p>In simple terms, Root is using highly sensitive equipment found in smartphones to detect G-forces while a driver brakes, accelerates, and turns. Utilizing true driving data, as well as driving trends within a state or region, should allow the company to accurately price policies up front for new members.</p>\n<p>On the downside, Root is a relatively new player, which means it's going to have to spend aggressively to build up its brand (i.e., expect sizable losses to continue). However, initial accident loss ratios have been mostly encouraging. With gross accident period loss ratios coming in below 100% for much of the past two years -- a figure below 100% implies a profitably written policy -- the data suggests a telematics-based approach can be successful.</p>\n<p>Root is a very risky investment, but it does offer incredible reward potential.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/81aa2c60b7ad9fa0ab9c99c53e91fca6\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Sea Limited: Implied upside of 107%</h2>\n<p>Wall Street also sees big things happening for Singapore-based company <b>Sea Limited</b> (NYSE:SE), which has been in a precipitous downtrend over the past two months. If the $460 price target from <b>Goldman Sachs </b>analyst Piyush Mubayi is correct, megacap stock Sea could more than double in value next year.</p>\n<p>The lure of Sea Limited is that it has a trio of rapidly growing and diversified operating segments.</p>\n<p>For the moment, the company's digital entertainment division is the only one of the three generating positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). Sea's mobile game, <i>Free Fire</i>, continues to be a worldwide hit. In the September-ended quarter, 12.8% of its 729 million gamers were paying to play.&nbsp; That's a pay-to-play conversion ratio that's many multiples higher than the industry average.</p>\n<p>Secondly, Sea's nascent digital financial services segment is gaining traction. There are now more than 39 million people using the company's digital wallet services, with payment volume hitting $4.6 billion in the third quarter.</p>\n<p>The third fast-growing segment, and arguably what has investors so excited about Sea, is e-commerce platform Shopee. Shopee is consistently the most-downloaded shopping app in Southeastern Asia, and it's gained plenty of appeal in Brazil. Since it's primarily targeting emerging market countries with burgeoning middle classes, growth is off the scale. Following an abysmal year that's seen shares of insurance company Root (NASDAQ:ROOT) decline by 79%, at least one investment bank is expecting a big rebound. Based on Wall Street's high price target of $11, Root offers upside of 240% in 2022.\nFor decades, the auto insurance industry has used an assortment of metrics, such as credit scores, age, and marital status, to determine how much their members should pay each month. Unfortunately, these figures don't actually tell insurance companies how well or poor of a driver someone is. Root is aiming to disrupt this stodgy industry by relying on telematics.\nIn simple terms, Root is using highly sensitive equipment found in smartphones to detect G-forces while a driver brakes, accelerates, and turns. Utilizing true driving data, as well as driving trends within a state or region, should allow the company to accurately price policies up front for new members.\nOn the downside, Root is a relatively new player, which means it's going to have to spend aggressively to build up its brand (i.e., expect sizable losses to continue). However, initial accident loss ratios have been mostly encouraging. If the $460 price target from Goldman Sachs analyst Piyush Mubayi is correct, megacap stock Sea could more than double in value next year.\nThe lure of Sea Limited is that it has a trio of rapidly growing and diversified operating segments.\nFor the moment, the company's digital entertainment division is the only one of the three generating positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). Sea's mobile game, Free Fire, continues to be a worldwide hit. In the September-ended quarter, 12.8% of its 729 million gamers were paying to play.  That's a pay-to-play conversion ratio that's many multiples higher than the industry average.\nSecondly, Sea's nascent digital financial services segment is gaining traction. There are now more than 39 million people using the company's digital wallet services, with payment volume hitting $4.6 billion in the third quarter.\nThe third fast-growing segment, and arguably what has investors so excited about Sea, is e-commerce platform Shopee. Shopee is consistently the most-downloaded shopping app in Southeastern Asia, and it's gained plenty of appeal in Brazil. Since it's primarily targeting emerging market countries with burgeoning middle classes, growth is off the scale. And Amazon has been known to replicate ideas that have been successful on its platform, develop them in-house, then promote them aggressively. This could eventually loosen its dominant grip in e-commerce.</p>\n<p>For merchants looking to find another easy way to sell products online, Shopify is there to lend a hand. The company helps small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) create a suite of online shops to make it easy to start, run, and grow their business. This solution has been incredibly popular. Since its launch in 2006, Shopify has accumulated $400 billion in gross merchandise volume (GMV).</p>\n<p>Shopify's current goal is to enhance the growth prospects of its customers. The company has eight current initiatives to fuel growth, and it has ambitions to add five more. One of the most recent tools it has released for its customers is Shopify Markets, which makes it easier for businesses to expand their cross-border payment volume.</p>\n<p>Efforts like these have propelled its business toward dominance. In terms of total retail sales, Shopify controlled 8.6% of total e-commerce sales in 2020, and while that is a number that is far away from Amazon, Shopify is in second place.</p>\n<p>With investments in fast-growing e-commerce players like<b> Global-E</b> (NASDAQ:GLBE), Shopify has been able to bring in almost $3.3 billion in net income so far in 2021. Additionally, with almost $220 million in free cash flow this year, Shopify will be able to continue investing in expanding its offering and making its solutions more appealing to businesses.</p>\n<p>The company has no shortage of potential. It is eyeing a $153 billion SMB addressable market, and it is quickly becoming a commonplace where over 1.7 million SMBs and entrepreneurs have gone to start their e-commerce businesses. Because of Shopify's focus on customer success, I suspect that Shopify will only become more mainstream as time goes on, and if the company can continue adding products to grow its customers' growth prospects, I think it has the potential to become a trillion-dollar stock over the next decade.</p>\n<h2>No one-trick pony</h2>\n<p>Sea Limited might not be well known in North America, but if you live in Southeast Asia or Brazil, you probably know something about this international stock. Sea Limited is a three-headed dragon with thriving e-commerce, gaming, and digital payments businesses. Shopee -- its e-commerce business -- is a monster in Southeast Asia. In the third quarter, the platform had over 1.7 billion orders, and it was the top-ranked app globally in the Shopping category on <b>Alphabet</b>'s Google Play by total time spent in the app.</p>\n<p>Shopee is the largest part of Sea Limited's business, but its other business segments are equally as impressive. Garena -- Sea's video game segment -- grew its third-quarter revenue 93% year over year thanks to its hit mobile game, <i>Free Fire</i>.<i> Free Fire</i> was the second-largest mobile game by monthly active users on Google Play, and it had 729 million quarterly active users in Q3.</p>\n<p>Its payments business -- SeaMoney -- is also thriving, with over $4.5 billion in total payment volume on its mobile wallet and growing 111% year over year in the recent quarter. It also had nearly 40 million quarterly paying users in Q3. All of Sea Limited's business segments are extremely strong, but where investors should be excited is with Shopee.</p>\n<p>Shopee is dominating Southeast Asia, but it has plans to expand even further. The company announced plans to grow into Spain, Poland, and France -- its first countries of operation outside of Latin America and Asia. It won't hurt that Spain is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in the world. This expansion clearly indicates that Sea has plans to become a truly global e-commerce player.</p>\n<p>With great success comes great competition, including from Amazon in Europe and <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/MELI\">MercadoLibre</a></b> (NASDAQ:MELI) in Latin America, both of which are not to be underestimated. Sea is spending heavily to gain market share in these areas, and it spent over $688 million on marketing in Q3 to build up Shopee's brand name. These expenses have been paying off, especially in Brazil, where Sea overtook MercadoLibre as the largest e-commerce provider in early 2021.</p>\n<p>While Sea lost $571 million in Q3, the company's expenses are paying off in the form of Shopee's burgeoning brand name. a Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA)bull for a long time now. It's hard to believe, but the first time I purchased Tesla's stock was eight years ago when the share price was around a split-adjusted $30. Now, roughly 2,500% higher, I am still long Tesla and I think there is more upside in this stock. Tesla remains the leader in the ultra-lucrative EV space. The company arguably has the best products, powered by the most advanced technologies.</p>\n<p>Additionally, Tesla has a unique set of competitive advantages that the company utilizes to stay ahead of its competition year after year. Tesla just put up stellar delivery and production numbers, will likely surpass analysts' expectations this quarter, and the company has enormous revenue and EPS growth potential as we advance. While we will not see Tesla shares gain another 2,500% from here any time soon, the stock can probably hit $1,000 by year-end or early next year. Moreover, Tesla shares could climb substantially higher over the next several years as well.</p>\n<p><b>Technical Setup</b></p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/dabe94c8ac775d6a4113df03ad66ffdb\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"676\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Source: Stockcharts.com</span></p>\n<p>Tesla had a stellar run-up in 2020 and into year-end last year. Then the stock experienced a significant correction of around 40% down to the $550 level. After this giant pullback, Tesla shares came back for a successful retest of the $550 level. Since then, the stock has been in a steady, concise, upward channel. The current move higher should continue until the bullish trend breaks. However, the bullish trend is robust and could power Tesla shares to $1,000 by the end of this year. Moreover, the company has numerous favorable fundamental factors to go along with the constructive technical setup right now.</p>\n<p><b>Competitive Edge</b></p>\n<p>Tesla continues to enjoy a multifaceted competitive advantage relative to its peers. Its approach to marketing, sales, software development, battery production, supercharging, design, development, and production provides Tesla with a significant edge relative to its competitors. Tesla designs and delivers everything from scratch, and the company remains ever focused on staying ahead of the curve innovation-wise in the EV space. However, most traditional automakers are still mainly focused on ICE vehicles and are still pivoting towards EVs. The bottom line is that the EV market is continuously gaining share over the conventional ICE market, and Tesla is the clear leader when it comes to EVs.</p>\n<p><b>Global EV Market Share First Half of 2021</b></p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/460efe2072a471a917fc24f40e742d6e\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"497\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Source: statista.com</span></p>\n<p><b>Deliveries Surge</b></p>\n<p>Tesla just announced another record deliveries quarter of&nbsp;241,300 vehiclesin Q3, a&nbsp;20% increase&nbsp;over the last quarter and a remarkable&nbsp;73% YoY surge. Tesla delivered a total of 9,275 Model S/X vehicles along with 232,025 mainstream Model 3/Y cars. Now, if we adjust for lease vehicles, we arrive at about 7,420 Model S/X vehicle sales and roughly 218,104 Model 3/Y vehicles sold in the third quarter.</p>\n<p>Last quarter (Q2 2021), Tesla sold (leases excluded) a total of about 187,163 vehicles for&nbsp;$9.874 billion. This sales image suggests that the average selling price (\"ASP\") across all vehicles was roughly $53K. Tesla sold approximately 1,550 Model S/X vehicles in Q2. Thus, if we approximate an ASP of $100,000 - $110,000 for Model S/X vehicle sales, we are left with about $52,000 for the Model 3/Y segment.</p>\n<p>Therefore, to get an approximate number for Tesla vehicle sales in Q3, we can use an ASP of $105,000 for the 7,420 Model S/X vehicles sold in the quarter, and we can use the $52,000 ASP for the 218,104 Model 3/Y cars delivered in Q3. This estimate gives us an approximate $800 million in Model S/X sales and $11.34 billion in Model 3/Y sales.</p>\n<p><b>Q3 Earnings Outlook</b></p>\n<p><b>Analysts Estimates:</b></p>\n<p>Last quarter, Tesla delivered&nbsp;$1.45 in EPS, beating consensus analysts' forecasts by about $0.47 or 48%. The company announced revenues of $11.96 billion, beating estimates by $559.33 million simultaneously. Now for Q3, consensus estimates are for EPS of $1.47 and revenues of $13.49 billion. However, I think Tesla will beat these figures as well.</p>\n<p><b>My Estimates:</b></p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/49202e7907ab71b56fdc7a9bd908431d\" tg-width=\"640\" tg-height=\"975\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><span>Source: Author's Material</span></p>\n<p>Instead of the $13.49 billion revenues figure, I am looking for $14.74 billion in revenues, about a 9% increase over consensus expectations. Moreover, I think we can see about $1.85 in non-GAAP EPS out of Tesla in Q3, roughly 26% better than the current consensus figures imply. If Tesla makes good on its notably better-than-expected Q3 results, the stock will have a strong catalyst for a rally into year-end.</p>\n<p><b>Bright Future Ahead for Tesla</b></p>\n<p>Estimates are moving up for Tesla. There have been&nbsp;26 upward revisions&nbsp;relative to just one downward (FY2021) revision over the last 90 days. Sure, Tesla's earnings remain somewhat volatile, but it's difficult to deny the better-than-anticipated earnings growth of late. Consensus estimates were for $3.61 in EPS for the last four quarters. Yet, the company's actual EPS numbers came in at $3.94, an average beat of around 9% over consensus estimates. Tesla delivered a total of 9,275 Model S/X vehicles along with 232,025 mainstream Model 3/Y cars. Now, if we adjust for lease vehicles, we arrive at about 7,420 Model S/X vehicle sales and roughly 218,104 Model 3/Y vehicles sold in the third quarter.\nLast quarter (Q2 2021), Tesla sold (leases excluded) a total of about 187,163 vehicles for $9.874 billion. This sales image suggests that the average selling price (\"ASP\") across all vehicles was roughly $53K. Tesla sold approximately 1,550 Model S/X vehicles in Q2. Thus, if we approximate an ASP of $100,000 - $110,000 for Model S/X vehicle sales, we are left with about $52,000 for the Model 3/Y segment.\nTherefore, to get an approximate number for Tesla vehicle sales in Q3, we can use an ASP of $105,000 for the 7,420 Model S/X vehicles sold in the quarter, and we can use the $52,000 ASP for the 218,104 Model 3/Y cars delivered in Q3.
