Even if some companies like APPL or Goggle will be making their own chips in the future there are still thousands of companies big and small that wants to concentrate on their own businesses and will let the semis help them with their chips. With that said semis like AMD NVDA ADOBE Micron WDC and others including the equipment makers like LRCX KLAC KLIC AMAT and others are still very much needed because technology will always a part of human life that needs to be fine tuned every now and then in order to do its job.
