I’m in my twenties, just started my career a year ago, started to learn about trading with small capital. Sometimes I wonder if it’s wise to trade such “expensive” stock? AMZN priced at close to $3.5k or 1 unit. $3.5k equivalent to approximately 4 units of TSLA.

Many of those winning investments will be lucky if they can hold those gains through the final three months of the year, but what about the names that have the potential to double again?</p>\n<p><b>Crocs</b>&nbsp;(NASDAQ:CROX),<b>AMC Entertainment</b>(NYSE:AMC), and<b>Upstart</b>&nbsp;(NASDAQ:UPST)have more than doubled in value through the first nine months of 2021. Let's see why they have what it takes to possibly repeat the feat in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>1. Crocs</p>\n<p>Remember those bright rubbery shoes with holes in them? They're back in a big way. Crocs sales are booming since the pandemic began, and the stock is following suit with a 129% increase through the first nine months of 2021.</p>\n<p>The comfortable resin shoes were already making a comeback before the COVID-19 crisis with double-digit revenue growth in 2019 before repeating the feat in 2020. Momentum is what's really taking Crocs to a higher level in 2021.</p>\n<p>The year began with the footwear maker projecting 20%-to-25% top-line growth for the entire year back in February. Guidance was bumped higher -- to between 40% and 50% growth -- the following quarter. It happened again this summer, with Crocs now targeting a 60%-to-65% surge in revenue for all of 2021. What do you think will happen if those targets get pushed even higher when it reports third-quarter results later this month?</p>\n<p>Despite a stock that has popped nearly sixfold since the start of 2019, Crocs is reasonably priced given its accelerating growth. It's trading at 21 times this year's earnings and just 17 times next year's target. There's clearly room to increase those multiples, and Wall Street's finally as comfortable with Crocs as an investment as its customers are in its shoes.</p>\n<p>2. AMC Entertainment</p>\n<p>You may be surprised to find the country's leading multiplex operator on this list, but plot twists are what make movies so good. It's certainly true that AMC Entertainment has appreciated -- in terms of both stock price and a fivefold explosion in shares outstanding -- to the point where its valuation is out of whack relative to its peers'. If you want a pure investing play on the movie theater industry's recovery, you will find more attractively priced stocks toscratchthatitch.</p>\n<p>However, as ameme stockand cultural phenomenon it's hard to argue against what AMC has done to translate its popularity among retail investors into a legitimate market share grab in the recovery process. No company has seen its market cap inflate as much as AMC has this year, but this is also a stock that enters the fourth quarter with a stock price that is a little more than half of what it was when it peaked in June. In short, it would have to double from here to revisit its all-time high -- but isn't that always possible with the poster child for 2021 momentum stocks?</p>\n<p>Fundamentally speaking, the catalysts are also there.<i>Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings</i>shattered box office records over Labor Day weekend, but the initial excitement fizzled out when subsequent weekends were abysmal. However, it's all about the pipeline. Studios pushed out September releases into October and beyond when the delta variant resulted in a spike in COVID-19 cases. We're now seeing the highly anticipated films start to come back, starting with the new James Bond movie next weekend. The fourth quarter should be a lot stronger for the industry than the naysayers think, and if AMC stock gets back to where it was in early June -- fundamentally earned this time -- it will have to double from here.</p>\n<p>3. Upstart</p>\n<p>I love when industries ripe for disruption get upended, and that's what Upstart is doing with the lending industry. Upstart usesartificial intelligenceand machine learning to make better calls on assessing risk profiles and creditworthiness for folks who don't typically get approved for consumer loans.</p>\n<p>Growth is bonkers. Revenue seemed to be decelerating sharply, with slowing growth spurts of 89%, 52%, and 27% in the last three years respectively. Now that consumers are becoming aware of Upstart as a better alternative to payday loans and other predatory lending products, business is skyrocketing. Revenue rose 90% in the first quarter, only to surge 1,018% in its latest report. And no, that's not a typo.</p>\n<p>With Upstart now expanding into the auto loans market, the potential for its better alternative to stodgy credit scores is just getting started. It's unlikely to remain a clinical-stage company for much longer and could offer clear advantages that'll help it become a top vaccine player.</p>\n<p>The company's coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine, NVX-CoV2373, led to an 89.7% vaccine efficacy (VE) in a large-scale trial in the U.K. earlier this year, and it produced a nearly identical 90.4% VE in a large-scale trial in the U.S. and Mexico in June. This initial efficacy, coupled with the less-than-stellar uptake from <b>AstraZeneca</b>'s and <b>Johnson &amp; Johnson</b>'s COVID-19 vaccines, should open the door for Novavax to become the No. 3 player in developed markets.</p>\n<p>Also working in Novavax's favor is the mutability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. Novavax's drug-development platform is capable of quickly bringing variant-specific vaccines to trial, if necessary. The company could also benefit from the need for booster shots, depending on how long vaccine-based immunity lasts.</p>\n<p>Novavax has an opportunity to beat its peers to market with a combination COVID-19/influenza vaccine, as well. This could be a differentiating vaccine that really allows the company to stand out.</p>\n<p class=\"t-img-caption\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/31d9e4dd60375f8f383f0c222a7633a4\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"466\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"><span>Image source: Getty Images.</span></p>\n<h2>Exelixis</h2>\n<p>Biotech stocks are a common theme on this list of perfect stocks to buy for the fourth quarter. Cancer drug developer <b>Exelixis</b> (NASDAQ:EXEL) offers the right blend of growth and value to make patient investors richer.</p>\n<p>The superstar for Exelixis continues to be cancer drug Cabometyx, which derives the bulk of its sales from its first-and-second-line approvals in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and its approval to treat advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. These indications should help Cabometyx top $1 billion in recurring sales either this year or 2022.</p>\n<p>The only reason this company is as inexpensive as it is now -- 21 times forward-year earnings for sustainable mid-teens sales growth -- is the disappointing update from the Cosmic-312 trial. This should allow Broadcom to lock in its orders months or years in advance.</p>\n<p>But it's not just smartphones that should have investors excited about Broadcom. The pandemic has also accelerated the shift of enterprise and consumer data into the cloud. This means data center demand should be strong for a long time to come. Broadcom is a provider of connectivity and access chips used by enterprise data centers.</p>\n<p>The icing on the cake here is that the company has grown its quarterly dividend by more than 5,000% in less than 11 years. CF is a genetic disease characterized by thick mucus production that can obstruct the pancreas and/or lungs. Vertex's latest treatment, combination therapy Trikafta, was approved five months ahead of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's review date, and is pacing $5 billion in annual run-rate sales despite hitting pharmacy shelves less than two years ago.</p>\n<p>Keeping with the similarities to Exelixis, Vertex was hit hard twice over the past year after two separate experimental treatments targeting alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency were discontinued in mid-stage trials. Nevertheless, Vertex has more than a half-dozen combined internal and out-licensed treatments in development for a variety of indications. Even though its CF franchise is well-protected from competition, the company is working on an expansive pipeline of products.</p>\n<p>And don't overlook Vertex's cash pile. Intuitive Surgical</h2>\n<p>Healthcare stock Intuitive Surgical trades at a price-to-earnings ratio (or P/E) of 76. That's extremely high when you consider that the average holding in the <b>Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund</b> trades at just 27 times its profits.&nbsp;Value investors may be tempted to skip over Intuitive Surgical given such a high valuation.</p>\n<p>But the robotic-assisted surgery company is still in its very early growth stages. Analysts from Market Research Future project that the surgical robotics market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 17% until 2027. And by then, it will still be worth only $13.7 billion. Healthcare giant&nbsp;<b>Johnson &amp; Johnson&nbsp;</b>records more revenue in just a three-month period.</p>\n<p>Intuitive Surgical is a long-term play. It could take more than 10 years for this company to really take off and be anywhere near the top players in the healthcare industry. But it has been generating good numbers already. During the trailing 12 months, the company has reported earnings of $1.6 billion on sales of $5.2 billion for an impressive profit margin of more than 31%. That's far better than the 20% of revenue that Johnson &amp; Johnson has been banking as profit over the past year.</p>\n<p>Key to Intuitive Surgical's growth are its da Vinci systems, which help surgeons perform complex and delicate procedures, utilizing robotics. The pandemic has negatively impacted its business as hospitals have pushed off procedures. Yet for the quarter ended June 30, the company shipped 328 of its surgical systems -- an 84% increase from a year ago. And the number of da Vinci procedures was also up 68% from the prior-year period. That boosted Intuitive Surgical's revenue by 72% to $1.46 billion.</p>\n<p>Demand for the company's da Vinci systems looks to be strong, and that's why this could make for a promising growth stock to hold for many years to come.</p>\n<h2>2. Amazon</h2>\n<p>Online retail giant Amazon is never a cheap stock to own. Its P/E of 58 is a bit lower than it has been in previous years, but that's largely to do with the surge in consumer purchases during the pandemic -- which have given its profits a big boost. In the past, it wouldn't be uncommon for the stock to be trading at more than 100 times its earnings.</p>\n<p>In 2020, the company's net sales of $386 billion were more than double the $178 billion it reported just three years earlier. Doubling revenue for a company of Amazon's size is no small feat. What's even more impressive is that during that time, its bottom line skyrocketed from just $3 billion to more than $21 billion.</p>\n<p>And while Amazon has been diversifying its business to include its subscription-related products, Amazon Web Services, and the grocery business (through Whole Foods), the company's online stores and third-party seller services still make up more than 70% of its top line.</p>\n<p>The company's wide array of expertise and resources gives Amazon many ways it can enter new markets and segments. One of its most recent areas of interest has been healthcare. Last year, it launched Amazon Pharmacy, a delivery service to help customers stay on top of their prescriptions. There were also rumors earlier this year that the business would take it even a step further and launch physical pharmacies, potentially going up against retail pharmacy chains <b><a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WBA\">Walgreens Boots Alliance</a> </b>and&nbsp;<b>CVS Health</b>.</p>\n<p>For a business that has $90 billion in cash and marketable securities on its books as of June 30, Amazon can entertain any growth opportunity it wants. Amazon's stock will always command a premium as its business is synonymous with innovation. This initial efficacy, coupled with the less-than-stellar uptake from <b>AstraZeneca</b>'s and <b>Johnson &amp; Johnson</b>'s COVID-19 vaccines, should open the door for Novavax to become the No. 3 player in developed markets.</p>\n<p>Also working in Novavax's favor is the mutability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19. Novavax's drug-development platform is capable of quickly bringing variant-specific vaccines to trial, if necessary. Because it's been a decade since consumers and businesses have benefited from an upgrade to wireless download speeds, the expectation is that we'll see a sustainable, multiyear device replacement cycle. This should allow Broadcom to lock in its orders months or years in advance.</p>\n<p>But it's not just smartphones that should have investors excited about Broadcom. The pandemic has also accelerated the shift of enterprise and consumer data into the cloud. This means data center demand should be strong for a long time to come. CF is a genetic disease characterized by thick mucus production that can obstruct the pancreas and/or lungs. Vertex's latest treatment, combination therapy Trikafta, was approved five months ahead of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's review date, and is pacing $5 billion in annual run-rate sales despite hitting pharmacy shelves less than two years ago.</p>\n<p>Keeping with the similarities to Exelixis, Vertex was hit hard twice over the past year after two separate experimental treatments targeting alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency were discontinued in mid-stage trials. Nevertheless, Vertex has more than a half-dozen combined internal and out-licensed treatments in development for a variety of indications. Over 300 stocks have more than doubled in 2021. Many of those winning investments will be lucky if they can hold those gains through the final three months of the year, but what about the names that have the potential to double again?</p>\n<p><b>Crocs</b>&nbsp;(NASDAQ:CROX),<b>AMC Entertainment</b>(NYSE:AMC), and<b>Upstart</b>&nbsp;(NASDAQ:UPST)have more than doubled in value through the first nine months of 2021. Let's see why they have what it takes to possibly repeat the feat in the fourth quarter.</p>\n<p>1. Crocs</p>\n<p>Remember those bright rubbery shoes with holes in them? They're back in a big way. Crocs sales are booming since the pandemic began, and the stock is following suit with a 129% increase through the first nine months of 2021.</p>\n<p>The comfortable resin shoes were already making a comeback before the COVID-19 crisis with double-digit revenue growth in 2019 before repeating the feat in 2020. Momentum is what's really taking Crocs to a higher level in 2021.</p>\n<p>The year began with the footwear maker projecting 20%-to-25% top-line growth for the entire year back in February. Guidance was bumped higher -- to between 40% and 50% growth -- the following quarter. It happened again this summer, with Crocs now targeting a 60%-to-65% surge in revenue for all of 2021. What do you think will happen if those targets get pushed even higher when it reports third-quarter results later this month?</p>\n<p>Despite a stock that has popped nearly sixfold since the start of 2019, Crocs is reasonably priced given its accelerating growth. It's trading at 21 times this year's earnings and just 17 times next year's target. There's clearly room to increase those multiples, and Wall Street's finally as comfortable with Crocs as an investment as its customers are in its shoes.</p>\n<p>2. AMC Entertainment</p>\n<p>You may be surprised to find the country's leading multiplex operator on this list, but plot twists are what make movies so good. It's certainly true that AMC Entertainment has appreciated -- in terms of both stock price and a fivefold explosion in shares outstanding -- to the point where its valuation is out of whack relative to its peers'.
