Journal","summary":"Hertz Global Holdings Inc. unveiled a plan Monday to buy back as much as $2 billion of its stock, a ","content":"
Hertz Global Holdings Inc. unveiled a plan Monday to buy back as much as $2 billion of its stock, a move that would return more capital to investors who stood by the car-rental company through its bankruptcy filing last year.
\n
Hertz shares rose 6% on Monday. The stock has declined since relisting on Nasdaq earlier this month, but is still well above the low levels where it was trading earlier in the pandemic, when Hertzwarned shareholderstheir holdings might go to zero.
\n
The company said that the new buyback program’s first phase will include $200 million of repurchases that were already authorized as part of the relisting.
\n
The rest of the $2 billion program would follow completion of a deal for Hertz to buy back all of its Series A preferred shares. Those shares, mostly owned byApollo Global ManagementInc.,a private-equity firm, were issued as part of efforts to rescue Hertz from bankruptcy as the coronavirus pandemic pummeled its business. Preferred shares give owners priority for dividend payments over owners of common stock.
\n
As travel has rebounded, Hertz has found sounder footing in recent months, with greater revenue and a return to profitability. Its path through the past two years has traced markets’ unpredictable swings from pessimism to optimism and back again as the pandemic delivered investors a steady stream of surprises.
\n
The car-rental firm entered the pandemic bearing high levels of debt. The sudden drop in travel and an initial fall in used-car values during the spring of 2020 led Hertz to file forbankruptcy in May 2020. Shares fell to a session low of 56 cents last spring before individual traders started piling in, buying Hertz stock even though it temporarily appeared that a restructuring could wipe out equity owners.
\n
The New York Stock Exchange suspended trading of Hertz shares last year after the bankruptcy filing, although the stock continued to change hands in over-the-counter markets.
\n
This year, as vaccines and abating pandemic conditions boosted travel demand, the company’sperformance improved. Revenue was $1.91 billion in the September-ended quarter, more than double Hertz’s results for the same period in 2020. Its profit was $605 million, compared with a year-earlier loss.
\n
As that recovery was taking shape, institutional investors led by Apollo, Knighthead Capital Management LLC and Certares Management LLC organized a restructuring deal in May 2021 that brought Hertz out of bankruptcy while keeping shareholders in the money.
\n
Many individual investors who bought shares near their lowsrecorded outsize gains. With Hertz’s plan to buy backApollo’s preferred shares, the private-equity firm stood to notch a 70% annualized return on its role in the restructuring.
\n
New buybacks for common shareholders could add to returns for individual investors and other owners of Hertz shares. Buybacks boost stocks’ value because they remove shares from circulation, leaving remaining shareholders entitled to a larger portion of future profits.
\n
Hertzlisted on the Nasdaqearlier this month, debuting at $29 a share, but its stock has mostly edged lower since.
\n
In the past few days, concerns about thenew Omicron variantof Covid-19 have raised questions about the travel sector’s recovery, with countries adding new restrictions on some international travel to try to keep the strain at bay.
\n
Hertz’s buyback plans come alongside a splashy effort by the company to invest in its fleet of rental cars by addingmore electric vehicles. Last month, Hertz said it had ordered 100,000 cars fromTeslaInc.,although recent back-and-forth between the companies has left it unclear how soon Hertz can expect to receive the cars.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Hertz Targets $2 Billion in Buybacks Amid Pandemic Recovery
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nHertz Targets $2 Billion in Buybacks Amid Pandemic Recovery\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-30 08:04 GMT+8 Wall Street Journal\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Hertz Global Holdings Inc. unveiled a plan Monday to buy back as much as $2 billion of its stock, a move that would return more capital to investors who stood by the car-rental company through its ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{},"source_url":"https://www.wsj.com/articles/hertz-targets-2-billion-in-buybacks-amid-pandemic-recovery-11638205059?siteid=yhoof2","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1122205622","content_text":"Hertz Global Holdings Inc. unveiled a plan Monday to buy back as much as $2 billion of its stock, a move that would return more capital to investors who stood by the car-rental company through its bankruptcy filing last year.\nHertz shares rose 6% on Monday. Change is never easy. For many more, it was an exciting time, as the Internet was unlocking a new world of possibilities.
\n
But… for investors… it was an opportunity.
\n
Specifically, it was a once-in-a-decade opportunity to invest early in emerging titans of the internet industry. Like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)… when it was a $438 million company in 1997…
\n
It’s a $1.8 TRILLION company today – representing a whopping 365,000%-plus return.
\n
That means a mere $1,000 investment in Amazon in 1997 would be worth more than $3.6 million today.
\n
Need I say more?
\n
Where there’s disruption, there’s opportunity – and the bigger the disruption, the bigger the opportunity.
\n
Right now, we are on the cusp of an enormous disruption as big as the internet… and that’s the shift toward electric vehicles.
\n
Long story short, the world’s transportation network is rapidly being electrified. This change is nothing new. Electric cars have been around for over a decade. So far, they’ve made a dent in the market. It looks like in 2021 that electric vehicles (EVs) will account for about 10% of all new car sales.
\n
That’s a sizable number. But nothing huge considering, again, EVs have been around for a decade.
\n
According to our modeling, though, that 10% number is about to jump to 80% over the next two decades, implying jaw-dropping EV volume growth of ~2,000% over the next 20 years, as multiple game-changing trends converge to set the stage for EVs to finally takeover the world.
\n
Simply consider:
\n
The demand is shifting. Today’s consumers are more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly aligning their purchasing decisions to “go green.” As a result, over 60% of prospective car buyers in the U.S. today want an EV – and that number is going up every single year.
\n
The laws are changing. Governments are also more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly enacting legislature to promote adoption of “green” technologies. More than 200 cities and counties across the world have a “100% clean energy” target for 2030, 2040, or 2050 – while districts on the cutting edge of green tech (like California and New Jersey) are outright banning gas car sales after 2035.
\n
The tech is improving. EVs used to be significantly limited by driving range. Thanks to major technological improvements on the battery front, that’s no longer true. The average range of an EV has increased 140% since 2011, with a fully-charged EV now getting as much range as a gas car at 300-plus miles (and some EVs even fetching over 500 miles of range). Even further, gas cars aren’t increasing their driving ranges. EVs are, and rapidly – so by 2030, EVs will be able to drive significantly farther than gas cars.
\n
The costs are falling. EVs also used to be significantly limited by costs. That is, they have traditionally been far more expensive than gas cars. Again, though, this is no longer the case. Average EV prices have dropped 70% since 2010, and are now largely on par with gas cars. Economies of scale and technological improvements will unlock further cost reductions, and by 2030, EVs will be substantially cheaper than gas cars.
\n
The supply is pivoting. For years, auto industry incumbents were asleep at the wheel when it came to the EV revolution. Not anymore. Every major automaker in the world – from Ford to GM to Bentley – is making all-out blitz into the EV category, in what will amount to an unprecedented surge in EV supply over the next decade.
\n
The future couldn’t be any clearer.
\n
EVs are on the cusp of fundamentally disrupting the entire multi-trillion-dollar auto market.
\n
It’s one of the biggest disruptions we have ever seen in the past 50 years – and, by extension, it’s one of the biggest investment opportunities we have ever seen in the past 50 years, too.
\n
The right investments in the EV sector will score investors 10X, 20X, even 30X returns over the next few years.
\n
Note the emphasis above…
\n
The right investments.
\n
That’s the thing about disruptive megatrends. It’s not about just finding the right megatrend to invest in, but finding the right companies within that megatrend to invest in.
\n
Some might argue that the internet runs counter to this. But, although the internet did turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry, you couldn’t just point, click, and buy the first internet startup you saw — most internet startups in the 1990s went under. Remember Pets.com? Or eToys.com? Or Boo.com? What about Webvan?
\n
Yeah, there’s a reason you don’t. All failures. Only a handful of 1990s internet startups actually turned into enormous long-term winners, like Amazon.
\n
The same will be true about the electric vehicle space.
\n
It will turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry by 2030. But there are a lot of EV startups today, and the reality is that most of them will fail.
\n
Only a handful will succeed – but those that do, will generate Amazon-like returns.
\n
Unfortunately, most people don’t have time to spend countless hours researching arcane subjects that might lead to potentially profitable investments. That’s what we’re here for: to help you identify the right investments in the EV megatrend.
\n
In our flagship investment research advisory Innovation Investor, we have scoured through the entire EV market, analyzed nearly every company in this space, and identified the best investment opportunities to capitalize on the enormous shift toward electric vehicles.
\n
Some of them are EV makers. Some of them are battery companies. Some of them are charging companies. The common denominator? They’re all disruptive innovators.
\n
We’re talking companies that could be the next Tesla – or bigger.
\n
The research is already finished. The buy calls have already been made. All that’s left are the profits to be had from investors like you who take action.
\n
On the date of publication, Luke Lango did not have (either directly or indirectly) any positions in the securities mentioned in this article.
","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Turn the Global EV Disruption Into Your Million-Dollar Opportunity
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nTurn the Global EV Disruption Into Your Million-Dollar Opportunity\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-12 07:59 GMT+8 investorplace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
When it comes to identifying next-generation breakthrough investments that could rise 100%, 200%, 500%, or more, I always come back to one saying.\nWhere there’s disruption, there’s opportunity.\nCase-...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{},"source_url":"https://investorplace.com/hypergrowthinvesting/2021/11/turn-the-global-ev-disruption-into-your-million-dollar-opportunity/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1168776266","content_text":"When it comes to identifying next-generation breakthrough investments that could rise 100%, 200%, 500%, or more, I always come back to one saying.\nWhere there’s disruption, there’s opportunity.\nCase-in-point: the internet.\nThroughout the 1990s, the emergence of the Internet rapidly disrupted how people across the globe worked, communicated and played.\nFor many, it was a scary time. Like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN)… when it was a $438 million company in 1997…\nIt’s a $1.8 TRILLION company today – representing a whopping 365,000%-plus return.\nThat means a mere $1,000 investment in Amazon in 1997 would be worth more than $3.6 million today.\nNeed I say more?\nWhere there’s disruption, there’s opportunity – and the bigger the disruption, the bigger the opportunity.\nRight now, we are on the cusp of an enormous disruption as big as the internet… and that’s the shift toward electric vehicles.\nLong story short, the world’s transportation network is rapidly being electrified. This change is nothing new. Electric cars have been around for over a decade. So far, they’ve made a dent in the market. It looks like in 2021 that electric vehicles (EVs) will account for about 10% of all new car sales.\nThat’s a sizable number. But nothing huge considering, again, EVs have been around for a decade.\nAccording to our modeling, though, that 10% number is about to jump to 80% over the next two decades, implying jaw-dropping EV volume growth of ~2,000% over the next 20 years, as multiple game-changing trends converge to set the stage for EVs to finally takeover the world.\nSimply consider:\nThe demand is shifting. Today’s consumers are more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly aligning their purchasing decisions to “go green.” As a result, over 60% of prospective car buyers in the U.S. today want an EV – and that number is going up every single year.\nThe laws are changing. Governments are also more aware than ever before of climate change, and are increasingly enacting legislature to promote adoption of “green” technologies. More than 200 cities and counties across the world have a “100% clean energy” target for 2030, 2040, or 2050 – while districts on the cutting edge of green tech (like California and New Jersey) are outright banning gas car sales after 2035.\nThe tech is improving. EVs are, and rapidly – so by 2030, EVs will be able to drive significantly farther than gas cars.\nThe costs are falling. EVs also used to be significantly limited by costs. That is, they have traditionally been far more expensive than gas cars. Again, though, this is no longer the case. Average EV prices have dropped 70% since 2010, and are now largely on par with gas cars. Economies of scale and technological improvements will unlock further cost reductions, and by 2030, EVs will be substantially cheaper than gas cars.\nThe supply is pivoting. For years, auto industry incumbents were asleep at the wheel when it came to the EV revolution. Not anymore. Every major automaker in the world – from Ford to GM to Bentley – is making all-out blitz into the EV category, in what will amount to an unprecedented surge in EV supply over the next decade.\nThe future couldn’t be any clearer.\nEVs are on the cusp of fundamentally disrupting the entire multi-trillion-dollar auto market.\nIt’s one of the biggest disruptions we have ever seen in the past 50 years – and, by extension, it’s one of the biggest investment opportunities we have ever seen in the past 50 years, too.\nThe right investments in the EV sector will score investors 10X, 20X, even 30X returns over the next few years.\nNote the emphasis above…\nThe right investments.\nThat’s the thing about disruptive megatrends. It’s not about just finding the right megatrend to invest in, but finding the right companies within that megatrend to invest in.\nSome might argue that the internet runs counter to this. But, although the internet did turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry, you couldn’t just point, click, and buy the first internet startup you saw — most internet startups in the 1990s went under. Remember Pets.com? Or eToys.com? Or Boo.com? What about Webvan?\nYeah, there’s a reason you don’t. All failures. Only a handful of 1990s internet startups actually turned into enormous long-term winners, like Amazon.\nThe same will be true about the electric vehicle space.\nIt will turn into a globally ubiquitous, multi-trillion-dollar industry by 2030. But there are a lot of EV startups today, and the reality is that most of them will fail.\nOnly a handful will succeed – but those that do, will generate Amazon-like returns.\nUnfortunately, most people don’t have time to spend countless hours researching arcane subjects that might lead to potentially profitable investments. That’s what we’re here for: to help you identify the right investments in the EV megatrend.\nIn our flagship investment research advisory Innovation Investor, we have scoured through the entire EV market, analyzed nearly every company in this space, and identified the best investment opportunities to capitalize on the enormous shift toward electric vehicles.\nSome of them are EV makers. Some of them are battery companies. Some of them are charging companies. The common denominator? They’re all disruptive innovators.\nWe’re talking companies that could be the next Tesla – or bigger.\nThe research is already finished. The buy calls have already been made. All that’s left are the profits to be had from investors like you who take action.\nOn the date of publication, Luke Lango did not have (either directly or indirectly) any positions in the securities mentioned in this article.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1048,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":812216029,"gmtCreate":1630590101561,"gmtModify":1631890337289,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Any US stock guru to recommend? What's several times more difficult, though, is finding potential winners before they take off. Companies working on emerging technologies often face significant risks. At the same time, if successful, their stocks could generate windfall returns. Here are three such companies that are working on the technologies and infrastructure of the future.
\n
QuantumScape
\n
The number of electric vehicles in use worldwide is increasing with each passing day. The shift from internal combustion engine vehicles to EVs is unstoppable. QuantumScape (NYSE:QS) may play a critical role in this transition. The company believes that the solid-state batteries it is developing can provide greater range and quicker recharge times than the lithium-ion batteries currently in use. What's more, its batteries should, in theory, also cost less than lithium-ion batteries.
\n
If QuantumScape can deliver what it is promising, it would have a huge market for its batteries. The company estimates $450 billion of potential annual battery sales if all 90+ million vehicles produced annually shift to batteries.
\n
\n
There are, however, several risks to consider. QuantumScape is still developing the technology and is several years away from commercial production. Its batteries have so far only been sample tested in labs. In its second-quarter results, the company announced that it is testing 10-layer cells and progressing according to its plans. Notably, batteries for use in EVs need several dozen of such layers, something the company expects to accomplish in 2022. At the same time, QuantumScape is slightly ahead of schedule for its pre-pilot manufacturing line. Overall, the company said it is progressing on time.
\n
QuantumScape doesn't expect to generate positive EBITDA before 2027. That's a long time from now, and many things can go wrong in the meantime. But this stock must be on your watch list, even if you decide not to buy it right now.
\n
ChargePoint Holdings
\n
Another stock to potentially benefit from the growth in EVs is electric charging company ChargePoint (NYSE:CHPT). With more than 112,000 charging points in North America and Europe, ChargePoint is one of the biggest EV charging companies in the world. The company claims to control 70% of the public level 2 charging market share in North America.
\n
Like other EV charging providers, ChargePoint isn't profitable right now. It hopes to generate positive EBITDA in 2024. Though a well-functioning public charging network is essential for the growth of EVs, the model for development of this infrastructure is still evolving. Some EV makers, such as Tesla, are developing their own charging networks. Others, such as General Motors, are partnering with several public EV charging companies, essentially suggesting that all chargers are basically the same.
\n
EV charging companies, in turn, are finding innovative ways to generate revenue while continuing to expand their infrastructure. This infrastructure, if properly developed and maintained, should surely be of value in the future. As a top player, ChargePoint could be better placed than others to benefit from the expected growth in EVs. You wouldn't want to miss watching how this company evolves over time.
\n
Bloom Energy
\n
Fuel cells have certainly attracted investors' attention lately. However, makers of proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, such as Plug Power, remain the primary focus. That's because PEM fuel cells find applications in the transport segment due to their quick start and stop times, as well as their lighter weight.
\n
However, another key area for fuel cells that doesn't get so much interest but is of great significance is stationary baseload generation and back-up power. Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) is primarily focused on this segment. It is also expanding into carbon capture technologies, marine transport, and hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers. Overall, the company pegs its total addressable market at over $2 trillion.
\n
Bloom Energy fares better on key financial metrics compared to other fuel cell makers. In the last three years, the company has grown its revenue, shrank losses, and improved margins. Bloom Energy expects that its cash from operations will move toward positive territory for full-year 2021. It also expects to achieve non-GAAP operating margin of around 3% for the year. This overlooked stock definitely needs to be on your watch list of growth stocks.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 High-Risk Stocks to Add to Your Watch List
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 High-Risk Stocks to Add to Your Watch List\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-14 10:36 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Identifying winning stocks in hindsight is a simple task. The court is likely to take up the case in coming days.
\n
Flipkart, Amazon and the CCI did not respond to a request for comment.
\n
Although India's trade minister and a southern court have said the companies should not shy away from inquiries, Amazon and Flipkart say the CCI lacked evidence and should not have launched the investigation last year.
\n
The request to the Supreme Court comes after the state court dismissed the companies' pleas in June and July, saying the investigation must continue.
\n
The antitrust body, which has set the companies a July 30 deadline to answer its queries, had plans to speed the investigation into Amazon and Flipkart after the clearance from the court, Reuters reported in June.
\n
The CCI questions also sought details of policies on showcasing products on the websites of Flipkart and Amazon, and internal communication with sellers over sale events, the court documents showed.
\n
The watchdog also asked for a list of the firm's top 100 sellers between 2015 to 2020 and top-selling products. For Amazon, specifically, the CCI sought copies of all agreements it has signed with two of its sellers, Cloudtail and Appario.
\n
In February,a Reuters investigation based on Amazon documents showed it had given preferential treatment for years to a small group of sellers, including Cloudtail and Appario, and used them to bypass Indian law.
\n
Indian retailers say Amazon and Flipkart favour select sellers on their platforms, to the disadvantage of smaller players.
\n
The companies deny any wrongdoing.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; BMW will also use a Qualcomm central computing chip and another set of Qualcomm chips to help the car communicate with cloud computing data centers.\nAn existing partnership between BMW and Intel's Mobileye self-driving technology unit would continue, BMW said, although plans to release an autonomous vehicle in 2021 have not materialised.\nA 7 Series full-size sedan featuring Intel's Level 3 autonomous driving technology, where cars can drive themselves under limited conditions but still require a driver, is due for release next year.\nThe two companies did not say how much of the BMW group's line-up the Qualcomm deal would cover.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":945,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":181946871,"gmtCreate":1623371935293,"gmtModify":1631885861952,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Starbucks(SBUX)$ please like and comment. I think that's to be expected after the pandemic-fueled growth of 2020.
\n
I fully expect that Pinterest will continue to attract more users, including men (the company's customer base currently largely consists of women.) I also look for the company to boost its monetization in international markets as well as in the U.S. Pinterest could easily double its current market cap of $50 billion over the next few years, in my view.
\n
Sea Limited
\n
Two of Wood's ETFs have sold shares of Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) over the last few weeks -- the ARK Fintech Revolution ETF and the ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKW).
What's several times more difficult, though, is finding potential winners before they take off. Companies working on emerging technologies often face significant risks. At the same time, if successful, their stocks could generate windfall returns. Here are three such companies that are working on the technologies and infrastructure of the future.\nQuantumScape\nThe number of electric vehicles in use worldwide is increasing with each passing day. What's more, its batteries should, in theory, also cost less than lithium-ion batteries.\nIf QuantumScape can deliver what it is promising, it would have a huge market for its batteries. The company estimates $450 billion of potential annual battery sales if all 90+ million vehicles produced annually shift to batteries.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nThere are, however, several risks to consider. Overall, the company said it is progressing on time.\nQuantumScape doesn't expect to generate positive EBITDA before 2027. That's a long time from now, and many things can go wrong in the meantime. But this stock must be on your watch list, even if you decide not to buy it right now.\nChargePoint Holdings\nAnother stock to potentially benefit from the growth in EVs is electric charging company ChargePoint (NYSE:CHPT). With more than 112,000 charging points in North America and Europe, ChargePoint is one of the biggest EV charging companies in the world. The company claims to control 70% of the public level 2 charging market share in North America.\nLike other EV charging providers, ChargePoint isn't profitable right now. It hopes to generate positive EBITDA in 2024. Though a well-functioning public charging network is essential for the growth of EVs, the model for development of this infrastructure is still evolving. Some EV makers, such as Tesla, are developing their own charging networks. Others, such as General Motors, are partnering with several public EV charging companies, essentially suggesting that all chargers are basically the same.\nEV charging companies, in turn, are finding innovative ways to generate revenue while continuing to expand their infrastructure. This infrastructure, if properly developed and maintained, should surely be of value in the future. As a top player, ChargePoint could be better placed than others to benefit from the expected growth in EVs. You wouldn't want to miss watching how this company evolves over time.\nBloom Energy\nFuel cells have certainly attracted investors' attention lately. However, makers of proton-exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, such as Plug Power, remain the primary focus. That's because PEM fuel cells find applications in the transport segment due to their quick start and stop times, as well as their lighter weight.\nHowever, another key area for fuel cells that doesn't get so much interest but is of great significance is stationary baseload generation and back-up power. Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) is primarily focused on this segment. It is also expanding into carbon capture technologies, marine transport, and hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers. Overall, the company pegs its total addressable market at over $2 trillion.\nBloom Energy fares better on key financial metrics compared to other fuel cell makers. In the last three years, the company has grown its revenue, shrank losses, and improved margins. Bloom Energy expects that its cash from operations will move toward positive territory for full-year 2021. It also expects to achieve non-GAAP operating margin of around 3% for the year. This overlooked stock definitely needs to be on your watch list of growth stocks.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":433,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167262238,"gmtCreate":1624271613024,"gmtModify":1631890337316,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Sad","listText":"Sad","text":"Sad","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167262238","repostId":"1147979715","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":270,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":111731234,"gmtCreate":1622697947228,"gmtModify":1631893413112,"author":{"id":"3582588942531560","authorId":"3582588942531560","name":"IBS002","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3582588942531560","authorIdStr":"3582588942531560"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/111731234","repostId":"1140714291","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1140714291","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1622675252,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1140714291?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-03 07:07","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"Wall St edges up ahead of key economic data, AMC soars","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1140714291","media":"CNBC","summary":"Stocks rose slightly on Wednesday with the S&P 500 hovering near an all-time high. The benchmark gain","content":"
\n
Stocks rose slightly on Wednesday with the S&P 500 hovering near an all-time high. The benchmark gained 0.14% to 4,208.12 on Wednesday, sitting about 0.7% from its record hit in May. At the close, AMC's market value stood at $28.17 billion, more than ViacomCBS(VIAC.O)and Kellogg(K.N), as well as fellow meme-stock GameStop(GME.N).In an apparent nod to the retail investors that have hyped the stock in forums such as Reddit’s popular WallStreetBets, AMC CEO Adam Aron on Wednesday announced an initiative that offered even the smallest shareholder a free large popcorn if they signed up to a regular newsletter.Among other so-called meme stocks - companies popular with a new generation of social media centric traders on WallStreetBets and other online forums - security software provider BlackBerry and headphone maker Koss Corp(KOSS.O)rose 31.1% and 68.6%, respectively. The massive rise in AMC's shares, which are up about 2,850% from just over $2 at the end of last year, is beginning to resemble the wild ride in shares of GameStop earlier this year.\"It's meme stock 2.0.,” said Steve Sosnick, Chief Strategist at Interactive Brokers.GameStop shares rose more than 1,600% in January, buoyed in part by bearish investors unwinding their bets against the heavily shorted stock in the face of a massive buying surge.'GAMMA SQUEEZE'Some of the upward price move in AMC is likely being driven by market makers buying up stock to hedge their exposure from selling options, an event known as a “gamma squeeze,” analysts said.\"People have learnt what tactics work under these insane circumstances. They are using a very similar play-book,\" Sosnick said.Call options that would pay off if the shares topped $73 by Friday were the most heavily trade AMC options on Wednesday, with about 233,000 contracts changing hands. With shares approaching that level, market makers who sold these and other similarly bullish contracts were left with no choice but to buy up AMC stock to hedge their own risk, thereby exacerbating the rise in the share price, analysts said.\"Market makers are just chasing the stock,\" said Matt Amberson, principal at options analytics firm ORATS.Wednesday’s near doubling of the stock price will likely test investors that have shorted AMC. Bearish investors were down $5.2 billion for the year and lost nearly $2.8 billion on Wednesday alone, data from S3 showed.\"If you began your short at under $10 and you were sure the stock was overvalued at $10 it makes more sense that it’s over valued at $30 or $70,” said Ihor Dusaniwsky, managing director of predictive analytics at S3 Partners.
