Apple’s own payment system takes a 30% cut from large developers.
\n
Data from the app tracker SensorTower shows that in calendar 2020, Apple had overall revenue from the App Store of $72.3 billion, generating an estimated $21.7 billion in fees, or about 7% of Apple’s overall revenues. That includes $21 billion in spending in the U.S., generating about $6.3 billion in fees, or about 2% of annualized revenues.
\n
SensorTower estimates that mobile-game spending in the App Store in calendar 2020 was $47.6 billion, generating $14.3 billion in fees, or a little under 5% of Apple’s total revenues.
\n
Gene Munster, managing director of the venture firm Loup Capital and a former sell-side analyst with a long history of tracking Apple, estimated that the App Store accounts for about 14% of the company’s profits. But he sees limited risk from Friday’s ruling.
\n
Munster thinks most app developers will stay inside of the Apple system. He sees “at most” a 2% headwind to overall revenue, and a potential 4% hit to profits.
\n
“After the first year of these changes, app store growth rates will return to normal,” he said. “Bottom line, it’s at most a one-year headwind and does not change the big picture of where Apple is going over the next 5 years.”
\n
Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani said in a research note that the ruling is a setback for Apple, but that the eventual impact is likely to be manageable, given Apple has alternative ways to generate revenue from the store, including its growing in-store ad business. And he noted that Apple actually got a win on a bigger issue in the case: The judge rejected Epic’s assertion that the App Store is an illegal monopoly. Daryanani estimated the risk to Apple’s per-share earnings at 2% to 4%.
\n
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives told Barron’s he thinks the worst-case scenario is a 3% to 4% hit to revenues, describing the risk as a “rounding error.” While Ives said the Street had expected an across-the-board win for Apple, the mixed decision removes an overhang on the stock and that investors are likely relieved to put the issue to rest.
\n
The ruling is more a positive for companies like Spotify Technology and Match Group than it is a negative for Apple, he said. Apple stock fell 3.3% to $148.97 on Friday, while Spotify and March gained 0.7% and 4.2%, respectively.
","source":"lsy1601382232898","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Why Apple’s Risk Is Limited
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWhy Apple’s Risk Is Limited\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-09-11 08:52 GMT+8 Barrons\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Apple faces real, but limited, risk to its revenue and profits from Friday’s ruling that requires it to allow developers to offer alternative payment methods for purchases made in apps downloaded ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"AAPL":"苹果"},"source_url":"https://www.barrons.com/articles/apple-app-store-epic-51631304007?mod=hp_LEAD_1_B_2","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1147045390","content_text":"Apple faces real, but limited, risk to its revenue and profits from Friday’s ruling that requires it to allow developers to offer alternative payment methods for purchases made in apps downloaded through the Apple app store.\nIn a case filed by Fortnite publisher Epic Games, U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers issued a permanent injunction that requires Apple (ticker: AAPL) to allow developers the option to include links to alternative payment methods in their apps. Snap's CEO, Evan Spiegel, said in 2019 that he expected it would be a decade before consumers widely adopted AR smart glasses.
\n
Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, recently announced the company was setting up a team to work on building the metaverse a shared virtual environment which it is betting will be the successor to the mobile internet.
\n
\"We’ve believed for a long time that glasses are going to be an important part of building the next computing platform,\" said Zuckerberg in a video posted on his Facebook page on Thursday.
\n
Facebook, which has been criticized over its handling of user data said it would not access the media used by its smart-glasses customers without their consent.
\n
The company also said it would not use the content of the photos or videos captured using the glasses and stored in the Facebook View app for personalizing ads, and said the glasses would be an \"ads-free experience.\"
\n
The glasses include an optional virtual assistant so photos and videos can be captured hands-free through voice commands. Facebook said an LED light on the glasses would show when the camera is on, to make other people aware when a wearer is taking a photo or video.
\n
It published a guide outlining how to use the glasses responsibly, for example turning them off in private spaces like public bathrooms and not using them for illegal actions like harassment or capturing sensitive information such as PIN codes.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Inflation. The Fed tapering its stimulus. The mess in Afgh","content":"
New York (CNN Business)The Delta variant. Inflation. The Fed tapering its stimulus. The mess in Afghanistan. There are a lot of things for investors to be nervous about these days.
\n
It shouldn't come as a huge surprise that the CNN Business Fear & Greed Index, which measures seven gauges of investor sentiment, is showing signs of Fear in the market. It actually was an Extreme Fear territory Friday.
\n
Still, stocks remain near all-time highs. The S&P 500 was rallying for the third-straight day Monday and is now up nearly 20% in 2021. What gives?
\n
Another powerful fear factor is lifting stocks: The fear of missing out on this seemingly never-ending rally.
\n
Corporate earnings for the second quarter were exceedingly strong. Although profit growth is expected to cool a bit in the second half of the year and in 2022, earnings increases are still likely to be fairly solid for the foreseeable future.
\n
Investors also have little choice but to keep buying stocks because other assets simply don't seem attractive.
\n
Bond yields have risen modestly as of late but the yield on the 10-year US Treasury is still hovering around 1.27%. They were around 1.8% at the start of 2020 before the pandemic shut down the US economy, Conservative investors, therefore, need to search elsewhere for higher yields.
\n
\"There are ridiculously low yields on bonds. How do retirees and pension funds manage that?\" said Eric Diton, president and managing director of The Wealth Alliance in an interview with CNN Business. \"They have to shift to stocks. Inflation. The Fed tapering its stimulus. The mess in Afghanistan. There are a lot of things for investors to be nervous about these days.\nIt shouldn't come as a huge surprise that the CNN Business Fear & Greed Index, which measures seven gauges of investor sentiment, is showing signs of Fear in the market. It actually was an Extreme Fear territory Friday.\nStill, stocks remain near all-time highs. The S&P 500 was rallying for the third-straight day Monday and is now up nearly 20% in 2021. What gives?\nAnother powerful fear factor is lifting stocks: The fear of missing out on this seemingly never-ending rally.\nCorporate earnings for the second quarter were exceedingly strong. Although profit growth is expected to cool a bit in the second half of the year and in 2022, earnings increases are still likely to be fairly solid for the foreseeable future.\nInvestors also have little choice but to keep buying stocks because other assets simply don't seem attractive.\nBond yields have risen modestly as of late but the yield on the 10-year US Treasury is still hovering around 1.27%. They were around 1.8% at the start of 2020 before the pandemic shut down the US economy, Conservative investors, therefore, need to search elsewhere for higher yields.\n\"There are ridiculously low yields on bonds. The Oracle of Omaha steered the investment conglomerate to legendary success after taking over as its chief executive officer. Today, Berkshire's class A shares trade at roughly $429,700 per share, and the company's returns across Buffett's tenure are even more impressive if you take dividend payments into account.
\n
With that in mind, three Motley Fool contributors have identified three dividend-paying stocks in the Berkshire Hathaway portfolio: Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ); Mastercard(NYSE:VZ); and Apple (NYSE:VZ). These stocks look poised to continue delivering big wins over the long term. Read on to see why our contributors think that these Buffett-backed, income-generating stocks have what it takes to be standouts in your portfolio.
\n
Verizon is a dividend juggernaut
\n
Jamal Carnette (Verizon): Who says Warren Buffett isn't a tech investor? After eschewing the sector for years, Buffett has now invested billions in technology companies, including owning 3.8% of Verizon Communications. At current prices, Berskhire's position is worth nearly $9 billion.
\n
Verizon's dividend has historically been underappreciated. Despite its having a juicy 4.5% yield, many income investors favored the larger 7% payout provided by its telecom competitor AT&T. However, that's about to change.
\n
Earlier this year, AT&T announced it was spinning off its WarnerMedia division and merging it with Discovery with the split occurring next year. As a result, the company was cutting its dividend. While this move might unlock value for AT&T, it also makes Verizon relatively more attractive for income investors in the telecom space.
\n
Buffett is a value investor, and Verizon certainly fits the bill. The company currently trades at 10.5 times forward earnings versus 22.3 times for the S&P 500. Verizon's yield of 4.5% is three times the yield of the greater index, and investors are expecting another increase announcement in September, continuing the streak of raises that has occurred every year since 2006.
\n
Admittedly, Verizon stock has risks. Top-line growth has been difficult to come by, and revenue in 2020 was lower than it was in 2015. The company has significant exposure to landline telephone and cable television businesses, and a significant debt overhang, most of which comes from the $49 billion issuance it undertook to buy out Vodafone's 45% stake of Verizon Wireless in 2014.
\n
Despite that, Verizon's dividend is safe. Last year, the company generated more than $20 billion in free cash flow, more than double dividend payouts. Verizon's predictable, subscription-based businesses will ensure investors can look forward to dividends (and increases) for years to come. Warren Buffett and Berkshire know a strong company when they see one.
\n
Don't let this payment giant's low yield -- or huge size -- keep you away
\n
Jason Hall (Mastercard): With a dividend yield south of 0.5% at recent prices, investors looking for yield often overlook Mastercard. Ironically, growth investors might also eschew the company, assuming that with a market cap above $351 billion, its growth days are over.
\n
I think investors in either camp are making a mistake to skip Mastercard. Simply put, this stalwart's scale and brand power have it lined up to ride a massive wave of digital-payments growth around the world in the decades ahead.
\n
Mastercard has a massive economic moat in its trusted, well-known payments network that gives it a massive network effect advantage. Having a relationship -- whether as a cardholder, accepting merchant, or a bank that issues Mastercard -- gives you access to the other two. And the more of each that is a Mastercard partner, the more of the others that want access. That's a killer advantage.
\n
This economic moat is why Mastercard's stock has consistently outperformed the S&P 500 on just about every three-, five-, and 10-year period since going public, and is likely to continue outperforming. It's also likely the reason why Mastercard is in the Berkshire Hathaway portfolio.
\n
One last thing: The yield may be low, but the dividend growth is incredible. Here's how much it's increased since being implemented, juicing Mastercard's total returns an extra 570%:
\n
MA data by YCharts
\n
That's a lot of juice from a relatively low dividend yield, powered by incredible growth.
\n
Investors can win with Berkshire's biggest stock holding
\n
Keith Noonan (Apple): The company has been on an incredible run. It's posted a total return of roughly 675% over the last decade, with gains spurred by strong sales for its hardware and impressive growth in the software and services space. In light of that gravity-defying performance, it's not unreasonable to wonder whether the tech giant still has room for big growth.
\n
Apple already has an eye-catching market capitalization of roughly $2.45 trillion, and it sits atop the list of the world's most valuable companies. While relative growth will be tougher to come by as the company continues to increase in size, Apple still has an unmatched position in the consumer electronics industry. Technology will only become increasingly important in the average person's daily life, and Apple is fantastically positioned to capitalize on some of the world's biggest emerging technology trends.
\n
The company's phones and tablets will play a huge role in ushering in the age of 5G networks, which will enable dramatically faster upload and download speeds that make new kinds of software applications possible. Apple is also likely to be a leader in the augmented reality (AR) space. Next-generation network technology will help pave the way for new AR hardware and software applications, and Apple's current leadership position in mobile and wearable computing suggests that the company is likely to be one of the biggest winners if augmented reality takes off.
\n
With the company's dividend yield coming in at roughly 0.6% despite years of strong payout growth, it might come as a surprise to hear that Apple's dividend posted a much greater yield at earlier dates. Consider that the stock yielded more than 2.6% for a stretch of time back in 2013. Apple has boosted its payout 132.5% since it began paying a dividend in 2012, but market-crushing capital appreciation has outpaced payout growth. Not to worry. The technology leader should be able to continue posting strong earnings growth and hiking its dividend payout, and long-term investors will likely see strong impressive returns from the stock.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
3 Warren Buffett Dividend Stocks Begging to Be Bought
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n3 Warren Buffett Dividend Stocks Begging to Be Bought\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-23 11:57 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Warren Buffett became Berkshire Hathaway's CEO all the way back in 1965, a time when the company was valued at roughly $19 per share. In light of that gravity-defying performance, it's not unreasonable to wonder whether the tech giant still has room for big growth.\nApple already has an eye-catching market capitalization of roughly $2.45 trillion, and it sits atop the list of the world's most valuable companies. While relative growth will be tougher to come by as the company continues to increase in size, Apple still has an unmatched position in the consumer electronics industry. Technology will only become increasingly important in the average person's daily life, and Apple is fantastically positioned to capitalize on some of the world's biggest emerging technology trends.\nThe company's phones and tablets will play a huge role in ushering in the age of 5G networks, which will enable dramatically faster upload and download speeds that make new kinds of software applications possible. Apple is also likely to be a leader in the augmented reality (AR) space. Next-generation network technology will help pave the way for new AR hardware and software applications, and Apple's current leadership position in mobile and wearable computing suggests that the company is likely to be one of the biggest winners if augmented reality takes off.\nWith the company's dividend yield coming in at roughly 0.6% despite years of strong payout growth, it might come as a surprise to hear that Apple's dividend posted a much greater yield at earlier dates. Consider that the stock yielded more than 2.6% for a stretch of time back in 2013. Apple has boosted its payout 132.5% since it began paying a dividend in 2012, but market-crushing capital appreciation has outpaced payout growth. Not to worry. The technology leader should be able to continue posting strong earnings growth and hiking its dividend payout, and long-term investors will likely see strong impressive returns from the stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":72,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":832836630,"gmtCreate":1629604605420,"gmtModify":1631892659040,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Haha","listText":"Haha","text":"Haha","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":8,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/832836630","repostId":"1128033677","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":130,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":836405250,"gmtCreate":1629511817870,"gmtModify":1631892659045,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Haha","listText":"Haha","text":"Haha","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/836405250","repostId":"1114812009","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":99,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":831916087,"gmtCreate":1629279022149,"gmtModify":1631892659047,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":10,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/831916087","repostId":"1147993764","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1147993764","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1629278815,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1147993764?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-08-18 17:26","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Weibo EPS beats by $0.16, beats on revenue; issues Q3 guidance","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1147993764","media":"seekingalpha","summary":"Weibo: Q2 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.79beats by $0.16; GAAP EPS of $0.35misses by $0.20.\nRevenue of $574.5M ","content":"
Weibo: Q2 Non-GAAP EPS of $0.79beats by $0.16; GAAP EPS of $0.35misses by $0.20.
\n
Revenue of $574.5M (+48.3% Y/Y)beats by $48.62M.
\n
Shares of Weibo gained over 7% in premarket trading.
\n

\n
Monthly active users were 566M in June 2021, a net addition of 43M users on a year-over-year basis. The stock has gained 1.6% this year, compared with gains of around 19% for the S&P 500 index.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":76,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":894265015,"gmtCreate":1628830626537,"gmtModify":1631892659058,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/894265015","repostId":"1127554137","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":136,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":895382954,"gmtCreate":1628724660778,"gmtModify":1631892659060,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/895382954","repostId":"1197984437","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1197984437","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1628695457,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1197984437?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-08-11 23:24","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Bitcoin ETF Filing Flood Collides With Cooling Demand for Funds","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1197984437","media":"finance.yahoo","summary":"(Bloomberg) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler ignited a fresh wave of op","content":"
(Bloomberg) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler ignited a fresh wave of optimism among Bitcoin exchange-traded fund advocates this month -- but it’s unclear whether investors share that enthusiasm.
\n
Digital-asset investment products from Grayscale, Bitwise, 21Shares and others saw outflows for the fifth straight week, the longest such streak since January 2018, according to data compiled by CoinShares. The outflows total roughly $93 million over that stretch. Much of it is thanks to money being yanked away from Bitcoin products, according to the digital-asset manager.
\n
The cooling appetite stands in contrast to the growing pile of cryptocurrency ETF filings, with at least 18 applications landing with the SEC this year. That tally grew by three in the past two weeks after Gensler signaled that regulators may be more open to a Bitcoin ETF if it was based around futures rather than the cryptocurrency itself. However, even if the SEC finally green-lights the fund structure, it’s not a sure bet that a Bitcoin ETF would be met with huge demand, according to Meltem Demirors of Coinshares.
\n
“There’s so many venues for people to buy and sell Bitcoin, to get exposure to Bitcoin in tax-managed accounts,” said Demirors, chief strategy officer at CoinShares. “We’re not really sure what the demand will look like because is the maturation of crypto in the U.S. is already quite high.”
\n
After setting an all-time high of nearly $65,000 in April, Bitcoin resumed its volatile price swings. The world’s largest cryptocurrency dropped below $30,000 in June as environmental and regulatory concerns hammered sentiment. Bitcoin has since rebounded to more than $46,000, even as the U.S. Senate passed an infrastructure bill that would allow for broad oversight of virtual currencies.
\n
However, fund flows have yet to match the rebound. Bitcoin funds and futures are on track for a third straight month of outflows, the longest streak in data going back to 2014, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. The bulk of that decline is due to decreasing open interest in Bitcoin futures, meaning traders let their contracts roll off without renewing.
\n
The outflows might even be bigger, if not for the fact that the $30 billion Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (ticker GBTC) -- the largest crypto fund -- doesn’t allow for share redemptions. That’s after shares of the trust ballooned by the hundreds of millions earlier this year amid the crypto craze. As a result, GBTC has traded at a persistent discount to its underlying Bitcoin since March.
\n
But still, in the eyes of Bloomberg Intelligence’s James Seyffart, it’s just a matter of time before investors flood back into crypto funds.
\n
“I think there’s still demand for Bitcoin products that people can access on the traditional financial system rails, if you will,” Seyffart said. “Flows tend to follow performance in areas and products like this, so with the recent weeks of performance for Bitcoin, I wouldn’t be surprised to see those flow numbers potentially turn around.”
","source":"lsy1612507957220","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Bitcoin ETF Filing Flood Collides With Cooling Demand for Funds
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nBitcoin ETF Filing Flood Collides With Cooling Demand for Funds\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-11 23:24 GMT+8 finance.yahoo\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
(Bloomberg) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler ignited a fresh wave of optimism among Bitcoin exchange-traded fund advocates this month -- but it’s unclear whether investors...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"COIN":"Coinbase Global, Inc."},"source_url":"https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-etf-filing-flood-collides-150226371.html","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1197984437","content_text":"(Bloomberg) -- U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler ignited a fresh wave of optimism among Bitcoin exchange-traded fund advocates this month -- but it’s unclear whether investors share that enthusiasm.\nDigital-asset investment products from Grayscale, Bitwise, 21Shares and others saw outflows for the fifth straight week, the longest such streak since January 2018, according to data compiled by CoinShares.
Bitcoin funds and futures are on track for a third straight month of outflows, the longest streak in data going back to 2014, according to Bloomberg Intelligence. The bulk of that decline is due to decreasing open interest in Bitcoin futures, meaning traders let their contracts roll off without renewing.\nThe outflows might even be bigger, if not for the fact that the $30 billion Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (ticker GBTC) -- the largest crypto fund -- doesn’t allow for share redemptions. That’s after shares of the trust ballooned by the hundreds of millions earlier this year amid the crypto craze. As a result, GBTC has traded at a persistent discount to its underlying Bitcoin since March.\nBut still, in the eyes of Bloomberg Intelligence’s James Seyffart, it’s just a matter of time before investors flood back into crypto funds.\n“I think there’s still demand for Bitcoin products that people can access on the traditional financial system rails, if you will,” Seyffart said. “Flows tend to follow performance in areas and products like this, so with the recent weeks of performance for Bitcoin, I wouldn’t be surprised to see those flow numbers potentially turn around.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":113,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":883812684,"gmtCreate":1631232327048,"gmtModify":1631889307489,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/883812684","repostId":"2166092349","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":147,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":816895528,"gmtCreate":1630485028064,"gmtModify":1631889307499,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/816895528","repostId":"1140270170","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":126,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":835195882,"gmtCreate":1629691446846,"gmtModify":1631892659036,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/835195882","repostId":"2161272742","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":72,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":894265015,"gmtCreate":1628830626537,"gmtModify":1631892659058,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/894265015","repostId":"1127554137","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":136,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":138118566,"gmtCreate":1621916945355,"gmtModify":1634185505165,"author":{"id":"3581935589868458","authorId":"3581935589868458","name":"GMBing","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3c20229bdb3b7b3196338eb4a41c9a85","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581935589868458","authorIdStr":"3581935589868458"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/138118566","repostId":"2138937151","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2138937151","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1621914600,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2138937151?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-05-25 \"buy\" rating, assigning it a 12-month price target of $306 per share—implying that the stock could soar another 36% from its Friday close price. (As of early afternoon trading on Monday, the stock is at $226, having had a rough debut so far in the public markets.)
\n
Among the many reasons for that call? Goldman analysts believe [hotlink]Coinbase[/hotlink] is \"the best way to gain exposure to the expansion of the crypto-native ecosystem,\" the analysts wrote in the Monday report.
\n
Though it's still a \"nascent\" ecosystem and not a big part of Goldman's base case for Coinbase, the firm says it's watching the growth and adoption of technologies like stablecoin-based payments; \"innovations\" in DeFi, or decentralized autonomous blockchain applications; and NFTs, or non-fungible tokens and the \"creation of markets for tokenized, real-world assets.\"
\n
\"If meaningful parts of the economy can transition to blockchain and crypto-native technology over time,\" the analysts wrote, \"we see significant opportunity for [Coinbase] to benefit from its status as a critical element of the financial infrastructure for the ecosystem.\" (The analysts also point out that Coinbase's security and regulatory compliance helps bolster that case.)
\n
Apart from Coinbase's role in the blockchain ecosystem, Goldman sees strong growth in the firm's transaction revenues, far and away Coinbase's biggest slice of sales, predicting that near term, \"continued strong growth in users [will be] driving solid organic growth for the business.\"
\n
Much like other analysts, the Goldman team note that investors may be \"too focused\" on the price of stalwart coins traded on Coinbase, like Bitcoin and Ethereum, instead of on the fact that volatility itself is a boon for the firm's business, just like at traditional stock or securities brokerages. D.A. Davidson analyst Gil Luria recently told Fortune on an especially rough day for crypto last week that, \"The level of volatility is what really drives results for Coinbase—people buying and selling Bitcoin... not Bitcoin going up or down.\"
\n
Like others on the Street, Goldman doesn't see trading fees as the only name of the game for the longer term: The firm notes that \"While just 4% of [Coinbase’s] revenue now comes from non-trading activities, we believe subscription and services revenue has the potential to see outsized growth relative to the core run rate of the business as [Coinbase] rolls out additional ancillary services over time,\" including collateralized lending (which they describe as similar to margin lending) and the further growth of the firm's institutional business. Indeed, Goldman's report notes that \"while we believe the core business today offers an attractive growth profile with the potential to drive high levels of profitability, we see significant white space for new initiatives to drive more stable and recurring revenue streams.\"
\n
Of course, Goldman is eyeing a few key risks for Coinbase, too. That includes regulation of the cryptocurrency space, lower volatility and declining prices of coins, and lower commission rates.
\n
Indeed, as D.A. Davidson's Luria noted, \"long term, Coinbase's price and value is going to be tied to the overall success of the crypto economy, which is tied to crypto prices.\"
","source":"lsy1618285953446","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Why Coinbase stock could rise another 36%, according to Goldman Sachs
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWhy Coinbase stock could rise another 36%, according to Goldman Sachs\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-05-25 11:50 GMT+8 Fortune\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
You can add [hotlink]Goldman Sachs[/hotlink] to the list of Coinbase bulls.\nThe firm initiated coverage of the newly public cryptocurrency exchange on Monday with a \"buy\" rating, assigning it a 12-...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"GS":"高盛","COIN":"Coinbase Global, Inc."},"source_url":"https://fortune.com/2021/05/24/coinbase-stock-price-coin-goldman-sachs-buy-rating/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"2138937151","content_text":"You can add [hotlink]Goldman Sachs[/hotlink] to the list of Coinbase bulls.\nThe firm initiated coverage of the newly public cryptocurrency exchange on Monday with a \"buy\" rating, assigning it a 12-month price target of $306 per share—implying that the stock could soar another 36% from its Friday close price.
