These stock picks cover enormous secular growth trends that should flourish over the long term.
\n
Nvidia is the first stock on the list. It's easy to see why some investors would shy away from Nvidia at these levels. The stock price has delivered over 67,000% returns since going public in 1999. A $10,000 investment would be worth approximately $6.7 million today. But the company is firing on all cylinders, and when you look under the hood, you will find that its future looks very bright, which can arguably justify the premium share price. Nvidia has its hands in nearly every secular tailwind imaginable:
\n
\n
Data centers
\n
Cloud computing
\n
Cybersecurity
\n
Space exploration
\n
Video gaming
\n
Online gambling
\n
Augmented reality (AR)
\n
Virtual reality (VR)
\n
Mixed reality (MR)
\n
Autonomous driving
\n
Electric vehicles
\n
Genomics
\n
Esports
\n
5G
\n
E-commerce
\n
Cryptocurrency
\n
Artificial intelligence (AI)
\n
Metaverse
\n
Big data
\n
\n
Tesla has made a historic run over the past couple of years, but with Elon Musk at the helm, the future still looks very bright. The company continues to grow rapidly while improving net profit margins and cash flows. The EV super cycle is just getting started, and Tesla is poised to be top dog. Not only is Tesla a top autonomous and electric vehicle manufacturer, it is, in my opinion, also the best artificial intelligence company in the world.
\n
Snowflake offers what it calls a \"data warehouse-as-a-service\" (DaaS), a cloud-based data storage and analytics solution. Think \"big data.\" Interestingly, Snowflake is not a SaaS company since its revenue is over 90% consumption based. Snowflake reduces cost and improves agility. Its data platform is unique in that it is not built on an existing big data platform. In addition to big data and analytics, I believe Snowflake is positioned well to create a unique digital advertising moat, which I discuss in detail here. I have been a fan of this stock since pre-IPO, and I have high conviction long term.
\n
Unity Software is best known for gaming. It provides tools and software to assist developers in game creation and marketing. In 2019, over 50% of the top 1,000 mobile games were created using Unity. Unity has players in 195 countries, so it's literally a global company. Unity powers billon-dollar mobile games like Pokémon Go and Angry Birds.
\n
But augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are why I personally own the stock. Think metaverse! However, Unity is actually quite diverse in terms of its offerings and industry segments. Here are some other areas Unity works in outside of gaming:
\n
\n
Automotive, transportation, and manufacturing
\n
Film, animation, and cinematics
\n
Architecture, engineering, and construction
\n
Government and aerospace
\n
Gambling
\n
\n
UiPath (NYSE:PATH) is a global software company focused on robotic process automation, also called RPA. Apple(NASDAQ:AAPL)finished Friday with a valuation of $2.944 trillion, so all Wall Street needs to do now is add $56 billion to the iPhone maker's stock value and Apple (AAPL) will stand alone in the $3 trillion club.
\n
To put that amount in some perspective, Apple (AAPL) became the first company to hit $1 trillion in market cap in 2018--or, 42 years after Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded Apple (AAPL) in a garage in Cupertino, Calif. It then took Apple just until 2020 to reach $2 trillion in market cap. Right now, the only other company worth more than $2 trillion is Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT), which ended last week with a market cap of $2.57 trillion.
\n
\"The Street is starting to better appreciate the robust fundamental story into 2022 for [Apple Chief Executive] Tim Cook & Co.,\" said Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, in a research note on Sunday. \"Hitting $3 trillion is another watershed moment for Apple as the company continues to prove the doubters wrong with the renaissance of growth story playing out in Cupertino.\"
\n
While Apple's (AAPL) iPhone sales continue to be the biggest source of the company's strength--iPhones accounted for almost $39 billion of Apple's $83.4 billion in fiscal fourth-quarter sales--Ives said the \"linchpin\" of Apple's (AAPL) growing valuation is its services business.
\n
Services, which include items such as sales from the App Store and subscriptions to everything from Apple TV+ to iCloud storage plans, brought in $18.3 billion in revenue in Apple's (AAPL) most-recent quarter. Ives estimates that Apple's (AAPL) services business \"is worth $1.5 trillion in the eyes of the Street,\" and is benefiting from being coupled with a hardware ecosystem that \"is in the midst of its strongest product cycle in over a decade, led by iPhone 13.\"
\n
Even issues related to component supplies that could impede Apple's (AAPL) path toward a market cap for $3 trillion or more are likely to be little more than minor speedbumps for the company to overcome, in Ives opinion.
\n
\"Supply shortages of roughly 15 million iPhone units globally remain an issue that should moderate into early 2022,\" Ives said. \"Importantly, the underlying demand story is our focus into 2022 and we believe is the ultimate driver of the stock going forward.\"
\n
Ives estimates that Apple (AAPL) will sell more than 40 million iPhones during the end-of-the-year holiday season, and that China alone is set to see 15 million upgrades to the iPhone 13 during the quarter that concludes at the end of December.
\n
Along with the iPhone, Ives said many signs point toward Apple (AAPL) rolling out its first augmented reality [AR] glasses by the summer of 2022, and that move could add $20 a share to the company's valuation. Tesla is seen ending this year with an annualized production run-rate of well above 1M units and being likely to deliver a strong Q4 earnings beat. Here's how to trade it as CEO Elon Musk","content":"
Tesla stock has been incredibly volatile over the past week. Here's how to trade it as CEO Elon Musk continues to sell.
\n
Tesla shares have been incredibly volatile this week. The stock fell 2.8% on Friday as investors try to sort out the next direction.
\n
Amid the recent slide — and perhaps one could say it triggered the decline — is CEO Elon Musk’s recent selling.
\n
Over the weekend, Musk ran a Twitter pollasking if he should sellsome of his shares.
\n
That led to a near-5% decline in Monday’s session, followed by a 12% haircut on Tuesday.
\n
He had sold more than $5 billion worth of stock earlier this week. Another $650 million was reported this morning.
\n
Referencing when I said “perhaps” Musk caused the recent selloff, many will say that is indeed the case and there’s no need to leave it to question.
\n
That may be true in some regards, but the stock shifted into a parabolic state this quarter.
\n
From Oct. 25 to the Nov. 4 high — covering just nine trading sessions — shares gained more than 30%.
\n
From Oct. 1 to those highs, the gain swells to almost 63%, while the run from the Aug. 17 low made less than three months sit at more than 91%.
\n
In other words, yes, the Musk headlines may have triggered the selling. But after such a meteoric run and after garnering a $1.2 trillion valuation near the high, Tesla stock was due for a correction regardless of which headline caused it.
\n
Trading Tesla Stock
\n
Daily chart of Tesla stock.
\n
Look at how wobbly this name has been, as the volatility and headline risks have ramped up over that past few days.
\n
We’ll likely see some “chest-pounding” by the Tesla bears, but don’t let them fool you — this stock has been explosive on the upside. The stock is up 150% over the past year and up over 1,300% over the past three years.
\n
As one of the few U.S. companies to hit a $1 trillion market cap, it’s perhaps the furthest thing from “TeslaQ” one could imagine.
\n
Despite the run, bulls are trying to buy the dip. Shares bounced hard at the 21-day moving average, but are threatening to lose that measure today.
\n
If it does, this week’s low near $987 is vulnerable. Here's how to trade it as CEO Elon Musk continues to sell.\nTesla shares have been incredibly volatile this week. The stock fell 2.8% on Friday as investors try to sort out the next direction.\nAmid the recent slide — and perhaps one could say it triggered the decline — is CEO Elon Musk’s recent selling.\nOver the weekend, Musk ran a Twitter pollasking if he should sellsome of his shares.\nThat led to a near-5% decline in Monday’s session, followed by a 12% haircut on Tuesday.\nHe had sold more than $5 billion worth of stock earlier this week. Another $650 million was reported this morning.\nReferencing when I said “perhaps” Musk caused the recent selloff, many will say that is indeed the case and there’s no need to leave it to question.\nThat may be true in some regards, but the stock shifted into a parabolic state this quarter.\nFrom Oct. 25 to the Nov. 4 high — covering just nine trading sessions — shares gained more than 30%.\nFrom Oct. 1 to those highs, the gain swells to almost 63%, while the run from the Aug. 17 low made less than three months sit at more than 91%.\nIn other words, yes, the Musk headlines may have triggered the selling. But after such a meteoric run and after garnering a $1.2 trillion valuation near the high, Tesla stock was due for a correction regardless of which headline caused it.\nTrading Tesla Stock\nDaily chart of Tesla stock.\nLook at how wobbly this name has been, as the volatility and headline risks have ramped up over that past few days.\nWe’ll likely see some “chest-pounding” by the Tesla bears, but don’t let them fool you — this stock has been explosive on the upside. The stock is up 150% over the past year and up over 1,300% over the past three years.\nAs one of the few U.S. companies to hit a $1 trillion market cap, it’s perhaps the furthest thing from “TeslaQ” one could imagine.\nDespite the run, bulls are trying to buy the dip. Shares bounced hard at the 21-day moving average, but are threatening to lose that measure today.\nIf it does, this week’s low near $987 is vulnerable. If Tesla breaks below it, the 10-week moving average could be in play. That’s followed by the $910 gap-fill and the 50-day moving average.\nOn the upside, let’s see if Tesla can reclaim the 10-day moving average. A close over $1,100 repairs a lot of damage and opens up the $1,200 to $1,250 area.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":72,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":822414192,"gmtCreate":1634166009065,"gmtModify":1634166009263,"author":{"id":"3578090151890801","authorId":"3578090151890801","name":"Howrich","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/302dcd19af3f2e77b41a1d01cd84d518","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Waiting patiently to be down further","listText":"Waiting patiently to be down further","text":"Waiting patiently to be down further","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/822414192","repostId":"1194709817","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":6,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":828032651,"gmtCreate":1633820894983,"gmtModify":1633820895085,"author":{"id":"3578090151890801","authorId":"3578090151890801","name":"Howrich","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/302dcd19af3f2e77b41a1d01cd84d518","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good suggestion and advice from Morgan Stanley ","listText":"Good suggestion and advice from Morgan Stanley ","text":"Good suggestion and advice from Morgan Stanley","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/828032651","repostId":"1190298937","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":26,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":864748855,"gmtCreate":1633154662752,"gmtModify":1633154663097,"author":{"id":"3578090151890801","authorId":"3578090151890801","name":"Howrich","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/302dcd19af3f2e77b41a1d01cd84d518","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Is good news and sound good to hear ","listText":"Is good news and sound good to hear ","text":"Is good news and sound good to hear","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/864748855","repostId":"1134305481","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":129,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":608189788,"gmtCreate":1638665479641,"gmtModify":1638665479812,"author":{"id":"3578090151890801","authorId":"3578090151890801","name":"Howrich","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/302dcd19af3f2e77b41a1d01cd84d518","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Smart investors ","listText":"Smart investors ","text":"Smart investors","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/608189788","repostId":"1158981658","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":221,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":601985154,"gmtCreate":1638483862939,"gmtModify":1638483863099,"author":{"id":"3578090151890801","authorId":"3578090151890801","name":"Howrich","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/302dcd19af3f2e77b41a1d01cd84d518","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Well done. We have shortages and supply line issues that hamper production and profitability. All of this will pass.
\n
What is the problem? Our government is dysfunctional, and we need leadership, especially now, to handle the myriad of domestic and foreign issues facing all of us. We will muddle through and finally get a much-needed traditional infrastructure bill and possibly a scaled-down $2 trillion social spending bill along with lower-than-expected punitive tax increases, this year but 2022 could be a great year, not just a very good year, if only we worked together.
\n
We have not altered our view that S&P earnings could exceed $220/share in 2022 and $235/share in 2023 as operating margins hit nearly 14% in 2023, up from 11.5% in 2019. Why? Corporations have learned to do more with less during the pandemic; shortages and supply line issues will ease, and substantial increases in technology spending will go a long way, offsetting higher labor costs while improving operations/efficiencies on all levels. Powell will be right that higher inflationary pressures will be transitory, but it may take longer to normalize. We will continue to have accommodative fiscal and monetary policies in 2022. It passed Thursday night. Daily negotiations continue for the massive social infrastructure program. It will be much smaller than initially proposed, closer to $2 trillion rather than $3.5 trillion. We have shortages and supply line issues that hamper production and profitability. All of this will pass.\nWhat is the problem? Our government is dysfunctional, and we need leadership, especially now, to handle the myriad of domestic and foreign issues facing all of us. We will muddle through and finally get a much-needed traditional infrastructure bill and possibly a scaled-down $2 trillion social spending bill along with lower-than-expected punitive tax increases, this year but 2022 could be a great year, not just a very good year, if only we worked together.\nWe have not altered our view that S&P earnings could exceed $220/share in 2022 and $235/share in 2023 as operating margins hit nearly 14% in 2023, up from 11.5% in 2019.
