Pfizer</h3>\n<p>Despite its central role in ending the COVID-19 pandemic, Pfizer stock has trailed the broader market over the past year. That situation has helped push its yield above 4%, though, in a welcome development for dividend fans.</p>\n<p>The biotech giant recently raised its growth outlook after sales jumped 42% in the first quarter. Besides its COVID-19 vaccine, which will require several more treatments over the next few years, other promising drugs include blood clot-fighting Eliquis, which grew sales by over 30% in early 2021.</p>\n<p>Sure, Pfizer isn't likely to see a repeat approaching anything close to the $26 billion it is expecting to book for the COVID-19 vaccine this year. But this dividend stock still has a lot to offer investors who want exposure to the biotech world.</p>\n<h3>4. Hasbro</h3>\n<p>There's plenty of room to grow in the toy niche -- if you're a dominant global player, that is. Hasbro has been cashing in on its leading position for years, through its mix of company-owned brands like Monopoly and Nerf and exclusive partnerships with giants like <b>Disney</b>. Growth in these areas allowed sales to rise 1% last quarter despite a 34% COVID-19-related slump in its TV division.</p>\n<p>Wall Street has acknowledged this good news by sending the stock higher over the past year. But investors can still get an almost 3% yield by owning its shares.</p>\n<p>In mid-2021, prices are rising for many things, including stocks. But investors can still find attractive businesses to own that also happen to pay generous dividends. Tempers are up.\nAcross the United States, businesses are grappling with an astonishing rise in what can only be called “people behaving badly.”\nRetail workers have been subjected to horrifying attacks based on their race, gender identity or disability. Flight attendants have been verbally — and occasionally physically — assaulted. Aggressive driving has led to road rage, with deadly consequences. Shoppers are brawling in the aisles.\nExperts are pointing to soaring stress levels as the trigger for the rise in these types of incidents.\nThe not-so-friendly skies\nIn May, aflight attendantforSouthwest Airlineshadtwo teeth knocked out by a furious passenger,according to law enforcement who arrested the woman in San Diego. It was just one of the latest examples as airlines struggle with an unprecedented onslaught of confrontations.\n“We can say with confidence that the number of reports we’ve received during the past several months are significantly higher than the numbers we’ve seen in the past,” said Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration.\nThe FAA tracks incidentswith problem passengers and says issues surrounding face masks have been a contributing factor.\nUnion reps have described the situation as an “epidemic of aggression and assault.”\nAlcohol also can be a factor. Both Southwest andAmerican Airlineshave decidednot to resume in-flight alcohol salesright now because of the unruly behavior.\nIndefinite bans for NBA fans\nNBA fans returning to arenas is a welcome sight for the league, which was reportedly$1.5 billion short of revenue expectationslast season as the pandemic resulted in lost ticket sales. The retail industry is also seeing an uptick in bad behavior, often targeted toward employees. According to Emily May, co-founder and executive director of the nonprofitHollaback!, retailers are seeing an alarming rise in discrimination where floor staff are being targeted for who they are when enforcing safety measures.\n“Given the rise in hate violence — which is at an all-time high — frontline workers are more vulnerable than ever,” she said in a statement.\nIt’s gotten so bad that at least a dozen retailers includingGap,Dick’s Sporting Goodsand Sephora have teamed up to collaborate on a campaign with the nonprofitOpen to All.\n“We are trying to create a movement where everyone comes together around the values of inclusion and safety, where we all can be safe and accepted and belong for who we are,” said director Calla Devlin Rongerude.\n“We haven’t been in crowds, we haven’t negotiated spaces with a lot of other people for quite a while. I think we’re out of practice with how to be human with each other,” she added.\nAs part of the campaign, the participating retailers will have access to a toolkit and other resources to support front-line workers.\nGrown men fighting over Pokemon cards\nAs theresale value of Pokemon and sports cards has skyrocketedduring the pandemic, retailers such asTargetandWalmarthave seen firsthand the impact: grown men getting in physical altercations over these cards.\nLast month, a 35-year-old manpulled a gunwhen he was attacked by a group of men in a trading-card related fight. It forced Target to temporarily pull the trading cards from its stores.\n“The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority,” Target said in a statement.\nThe retailer said Pokemon cards have since returned to the store but customers are subject to strict purchase limits of two packs per guest. The sale of MLB, NFL and NBA trading cards is still limited to Target’s website.\nRemember ‘the Golden Rule’\nWhether it’s aggressive driving or tempers on full display in restaurants, gas stations or Little League games, the bad behavior is caused by a confluence of factors, according to Thomas Plante, a psychology professor at the University of Santa Clara.\n“We’ve got a tsunami of mental health issues out there, with anxiety and depression,” Plante said, adding that our collective stress levels have never been higher.\nPeople are juggling multiple stressors, he said. Among them: the pandemic, death, illness, job loss, homeschooling kids, isolation and other challenges. That frustration can lead to aggression.\nThere’s also “observational learning,” Plante said, explaining that when people see bad behavior all around them, even by so-called role models, they are more likely to repeat it.\n“People model behavior of others, especially highly valued models, like ... well-known politicians,” Plante said. “People look at how they behave, which has been pretty bad, and they go and do likewise.”\nWhat will reverse the trend? While it may be tempting, it is too soon to add Federal Reserve policymakers to that list.</p>\n<p>Much will be made next week out of some potentially \"hawkish\" sounds from the U.S. central bank's policy meeting, economists said, while they stressed that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and the majority of the voting members of the interest rate setting committee remain \"doves\" and fundamentally will be sticking to their \"patient\" stance on monetary policy.</p>\n<p>\"They are going to be a little bit less dovish than last time,\" said Jim O'Sullivan, chief U.S. macro strategist for TD Securities.</p>\n<p>U.S. inflation has been sizzling in recent months.</p>\n<p>But the recent decline in long-term Treasury yields allows the Fed to lean into the hawkish message, O'Sullivan said.</p>\n<p>While inflation has been surprisingly hot, the Fed \"is willing to wait\" until the fall to see how the labor market responds to the inflation spike, said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics. Wage pressures play a key role in determining the inflation outlook.</p>\n<p>\"We don't know how many people will come back into the labor market, how participation will rise, and will it be enough to dampen inflationary pressures,\" Shepherdson said.</p>\n<p>\"In the olden days, the Fed would have raised interest rates first and worried about what was going to happen afterwards. But this is a different Fed with a different strategy and a different approach,\" he said.</p>\n<p>The Fed is buying $80 billion of Treasurys and $40 billion of mortgage backed securities each month, along with keeping its benchmark interest rate close to zero, to support the economy.</p>\n<p>The central bank put itself in a bit of a box in December by guiding markets that it wouldn't slow down the pace of purchases until there had been \"substantial further progress\" in its goals of full employment and stable inflation.</p>\n<p><b>What will be the hawkish sounds?</b></p>\n<p>First, the Fed will give in to the reality that talking about tapering the size of its asset purchases makes sense. This is an important shift. Since December, Powell has managed to hold off such talk.</p>\n<p>But this is only the most preliminary of steps.</p>\n<p>Instead \"officials will talk in general straw-poll terms on what principles ought to apply,\" said Lou Crandall, chief economist at Wrightson ICAP.</p>\n<p>It won't be the Fed having a structured debate on a set of options game-planned by the staff. That might happen in July, but not now.</p>\n<p>To downplay the significance, the Fed won't say anything about the \"talks about tapering\" in its formal statement, next Wednesday afternoon, O'Sullivan said.</p>\n<p>Secondly, the Fed's dot-plot, or interest rate forecast chart, may show a shift forward for the first rate hike to come during 2023. At the moment, the Fed shows no rate hikes until 2024 at the earliest.</p>\n<p>At its March meeting, seven out of 18 Fed officials saw a hike before the end of 2023, and it could be nine or ten officials at the June meeting next week.</p>\n<p>Thirdly, the Fed will have to raise its forecast for inflation for this year. In March, the Fed penciled in a 2.2% core rate for the personal consumption expenditure index. While that may rise, the Fed won't move the core rate for 2022 much higher, a signal that it still believes the price gains seen in the last few months reflects \"largely transitory\" factors.</p>\n<p>During press conferences, Powell has said the economy is \"a long way\" from the Fed's goals and it would take \"some time\" for substantial further progress to be achieved.</p>\n<p>\"I wouldn't pound the table and say exactly what Powell is going to say but it is time to start getting away from that language,\" O'Sullivan of TD Securities said.</p>\n<p>At the same time, the Fed has got to say that while the economy has made progress, they still need to see a lot more,\" he added.</p>\n<p>When the Fed added the \"substantial further progress\" guideline, the economy was 9.8 million jobs short of its level in February 2020. This is an important shift. Since December, Powell has managed to hold off such talk.</p>\n<p>But this is only the most preliminary of steps.</p>\n<p>Instead \"officials will talk in general straw-poll terms on what principles ought to apply,\" said Lou Crandall, chief economist at Wrightson ICAP.</p>\n<p>It won't be the Fed having a structured debate on a set of options game-planned by the staff. That might happen in July, but not now.</p>\n<p>To downplay the significance, the Fed won't say anything about the \"talks about tapering\" in its formal statement, next Wednesday afternoon, O'Sullivan said.</p>\n<p>Secondly, the Fed's dot-plot, or interest rate forecast chart, may show a shift forward for the first rate hike to come during 2023. The return of inflation, after a decades-long absence, is squeezing families and businesses recovering from the pandemic.</p>\n<p>In many ways, higher prices can be seen as evidence that President Joe Biden's economic and health policies are working. The successful rollout of vaccines is allowing companies to reopen and Americans to resume traveling, spending and working. Growth is being turbo-charged by rock-bottom interest rates and unprecedented fiscal stimulus.</p>\n<p>For many years, the nightmare for the US economy was a Japanese-style spiral of falling prices. Now, the risk for the White House is an economy that overheats, forcing the Federal Reserve to cool it down by raising interest rates so aggressively that it short-circuits the Biden boom, both on Main Street and Wall Street.</p>\n<p>The return of inflation also undermines Biden's efforts to ease inequality. That's because higher prices on essentials are most painful for low-income families — the same ones hit hardest by the pandemic.</p>\n<p>\"The cruel thing about this is, once again, the little guy is being hurt,\" Richard Fisher, former president of the Dallas Federal Reserve, told CNN Business.</p>\n<p><b>Summers: 'The inflation risk is real'</b></p>\n<p>Larry Summers, the Clinton-era Treasury secretary, is sounding the alarm on inflation via a series of increasingly urgent warnings.</p>\n<p>In an op-ed titled \"The inflation risk is real,\" Summers wrote in the Washington Post Monday that overheating is now the \"primary risk\" facing the US economy. The former Obama official said the Fed may need to begin to tighten policy and urged the Biden administration to \"move past emergency policies,\" including addressing a growing shortage of workers.</p>\n<p>Noting that inflation spikes \"disproportionately hurt the poor\" and are linked to diminished trust in government, Summers reminded progressives that inflation played a big role in electing Republican presidents in 1968 and 1980.</p>\n<p>The good news is that the Fed, and many economists, expect prices to cool off after the initial shock of the reopening passes.</p>\n<p>The bad news? There is no inflation playbook following a once-in-a-century pandemic. No one truly knows how \"transitory\" inflation will be.</p>\n<p>\"We were never good at forecasting. Nobody is, not even the brilliant minds at the Fed,\" Fisher said. \"I pray the Fed will be right. I hope it's transitory. It's not clear it will be.\"</p>\n<p><b>Biden official: No sign of long-term inflation</b></p>\n<p>The White House is pushing back on these inflation jitters.</p>\n<p>\"We expect temporary imbalances between supply and demand, whether it is fewer rental cars available at first or fewer airline flights as airlines move back to their regular schedules,\" a White House official told CNN Business on Tuesday. \"These are signs of recovery.\"</p>\n<p>Although the Biden official acknowledged specific supply chain bottlenecks will take time to sort out, the official added: \"We do not see signs of persistent dislocation or long-term inflation.\"</p>\n<p>\"Our team closely monitors inflationary pressures but inflation is first and foremost under the purview of the Federal Reserve,\" the White House official told CNN Business.</p>\n<p>\"The Fed is not the only player. Fiscal authorities in the US are going big,\" said Randall Kroszner, a former Fed governor who is now deputy dean at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.</p>\n<p>Honeywell (HON) CEO Darius Adamczyk urged Washington to \"be careful\" about doing more to boost the red-hot economy. \"We are seeing very substantial inflation,\" Adamczyk told CNN Business last week. \"It's definitely here and it's probably a bit more pronounced than most people think.\"</p>\n<p><b>Inflation psychology is changing.</b></p>\n<p>That's not to mention the political headaches that inflation could bring for Biden.</p>\n<p>\"If we see gasoline and food prices move sharply higher, that could become a problem for the Democrats in 2022,\" said Greg Valliere, chief US policy strategist at AGF Investments. \"The risk is that both monetary and fiscal medicine could be too strong. It could be an overdose.\"</p>\n<p>One concern is that inflation expectations, by businesses and consumers alike, are rising sharply. People no longer expect prices to remain in check. That's a big deal.</p>\n<p>\"You're starting to see a shift in psychology around inflation,\" said Aneta Markowska, chief economist at Jefferies. \"That can become self-fulfilling. If everyone believes transitory price pressures will persist, that alters behavior.\"</p>\n<p>Such behavioral changes can morph into a vicious cycle, with businesses stockpiling more goods and consumers buying products ahead of schedule. That would only reinforce inflationary pressures.</p>\n<p>\"This is a never-seen-before environment,\" said Geoff Freeman, CEO of the Consumer Brands Association, the trade group that represents the $2.1 trillion food, beverage and consumer products industry. \"The cost of every ingredient you could possibly imagine is going up. The cost of transportation, from truck to rail and ocean, is going up. Labor is going up.\"</p>\n<p>Freeman, who wrote a letter to the White House warning of a \"perfect storm\" of surging demand and rising costs, said he's been having discussions with the administration. He urged Biden to reevaluate regulatory and tax proposals and take steps to ease the shortage of truckers hitting the US economy.</p>\n<p>\"Let's let a little steam out of the system before it overheats,\" Freeman told CNN Business.</p>\n<p><b>The fate of infrastructure</b></p>\n<p>Summers similarly urged Biden to recalibrate his policies.</p>\n<p>\"Higher minimum wages, strengthened unions, increased employee benefits and strengthened regulation are all desirable, but they, too, all push up business costs and prices,\" the former Treasury secretary wrote in Monday's op-ed.</p>\n<p>The booming economy, and the resurgence of inflation, also complicate the case for Biden's proposals to spend more than $4 trillion on the American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan.</p>\n<p>However, it's important to remember that unlike the $1.9 trillion package signed into law in March, these are not rescue packages designed to give the US economy a short-term sugar high. Biden's proposals are long-term investments aimed at boosting long-term growth and easing inequality. And they include elements that economists expect will boost productivity and ease the shortage of workers.</p>\n<p>\"The net stimulative effect for the overall economy is pretty neutral,\" said Markowska, the Jefferies economist.</p>\n<p><b>Time to talk tapering?</b></p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Fed still has its foot on the gas. Interest rates remain near zero and the central bank is still buying a staggering $120 billion in bonds each month.</p>\n<p>Fisher urged the Fed to immediately begin tapering its bond purchases because waiting too long risks higher inflation down the road.</p>\n<p>\"You don't have to slam the brakes. The successful rollout of vaccines is allowing companies to reopen and Americans to resume traveling, spending and working. Growth is being turbo-charged by rock-bottom interest rates and unprecedented fiscal stimulus.\nFor many years, the nightmare for the US economy was a Japanese-style spiral of falling prices. Now, the risk for the White House is an economy that overheats, forcing the Federal Reserve to cool it down by raising interest rates so aggressively that it short-circuits the Biden boom, both on Main Street and Wall Street.\nThe return of inflation also undermines Biden's efforts to ease inequality. That's because higher prices on essentials are most painful for low-income families — the same ones hit hardest by the pandemic.\n\"The cruel thing about this is, once again, the little guy is being hurt,\" Richard Fisher, former president of the Dallas Federal Reserve, told CNN Business.\nSummers: 'The inflation risk is real'\nLarry Summers, the Clinton-era Treasury secretary, is sounding the alarm on inflation via a series of increasingly urgent warnings.\nIn an op-ed titled \"The inflation risk is real,\" Summers wrote in the Washington Post Monday that overheating is now the \"primary risk\" facing the US economy. The former Obama official said the Fed may need to begin to tighten policy and urged the Biden administration to \"move past emergency policies,\" including addressing a growing shortage of workers.\nNoting that inflation spikes \"disproportionately hurt the poor\" and are linked to diminished trust in government, Summers reminded progressives that inflation played a big role in electing Republican presidents in 1968 and 1980.\nThe good news is that the Fed, and many economists, expect prices to cool off after the initial shock of the reopening passes.\nThe bad news? Fiscal authorities in the US are going big,\" said Randall Kroszner, a former Fed governor who is now deputy dean at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.\nHoneywell (HON) CEO Darius Adamczyk urged Washington to \"be careful\" about doing more to boost the red-hot economy. \"We are seeing very substantial inflation,\" Adamczyk told CNN Business last week. \"It's definitely here and it's probably a bit more pronounced than most people think.\"\nInflation psychology is changing.\nThat's not to mention the political headaches that inflation could bring for Biden.\n\"If we see gasoline and food prices move sharply higher, that could become a problem for the Democrats in 2022,\" said Greg Valliere, chief US policy strategist at AGF Investments. \"The risk is that both monetary and fiscal medicine could be too strong. Biden's proposals are long-term investments aimed at boosting long-term growth and easing inequality. And they include elements that economists expect will boost productivity and ease the shortage of workers.\n\"The net stimulative effect for the overall economy is pretty neutral,\" said Markowska, the Jefferies economist.\nTime to talk tapering?\nMeanwhile, the Fed still has its foot on the gas. Interest rates remain near zero and the central bank is still buying a staggering $120 billion in bonds each month.\nFisher urged the Fed to immediately begin tapering its bond purchases because waiting too long risks higher inflation down the road.\n\"You don't have to slam the brakes. SLYV rallied 32% this year through Thursday's close.</p>\n<p>That more than doubles the return of its growth stock counterpart, SPDR S&amp;P 600 Small Cap Growth (SLYG), which is up 15%. The index SLYG tracks includes stocks with the strongest growth traits based on sales growth, earnings change to price and momentum.</p>\n<p>Back to SLYV, financials accounted for the biggest sector weight at 24% of assets. Industrials weighed in at about 17%, consumer discretionary 15% and real estate 10%. Information technology was next at 8% and materials, energy and health care, 6% each.&nbsp;Smaller positions in consumer staples, utilities and communication services made up the rest.</p>\n<p>SPDR S&amp;P 600 Small Cap Value is in IBD's ETF Leaders, but SPDR S&amp;P 600 Small Cap Growth is not.</p>\n<p><b>GameStop Stock Leads</b></p>\n<p><b>GameStop</b>(GME),<b>Macy's</b>(M),<b>PDC Energy</b>(PDCE),<b>Resideo Technologies</b>(REZI) and<b>BankUnited</b>(BKU) were the top five holdings as of Wednesday.</p>\n<p><b>Pacific Premier Bancorp</b>(PPBI),<b>Bed Bath &amp; Beyond</b>(BBBY),<b>Ameris Bancorp</b>(ABCB),<b>First Hawaiian</b>(FHB) and<b>Insight Enterprises</b>(NSIT) rounded out the top 10.</p>\n<p>GameStop has undergone wide swings this year. It rocketed about 2,500% early this year amid theshort-squeeze rallyfueled by the Reddit/WallStreetBets crowd.GME stockthen crashed 92% from a Jan. 28 high to its mid-February low. That was followed by an 805% surge the next three weeks, and a 66% drop over the next two weeks.</p>\n<p>Action had been relatively subdued since, until Thursday's 27% dive. Even after that, GameStop stock was up 1,070% year to date through Thursday's close.</p>\n<p>Could GME be inflating SLYV's performance? Certainly, given its quadruple-digit gain. But a look at SLYG's portfolio is interesting. GameStop stock is also the top holding in the growth stock ETF, though the rest of the top 10 differ vastly.</p>\n<p><b>Second Meme Stock In Top 10</b></p>\n<p>PDC Energy, up 130%, saw the next biggest gain in the top 10. The Colorado-based oil and gas explorer has a 97Relative Strength Rating, which mean it's in the top 3% of all stocks. Its relative strength line is at a 52-week high, a bullish sign.</p>\n<p>Bed Bath &amp; Beyond, another meme stock, is up 78% this year. Shares surged more than 200% in January, amid a spate of wild double-digit swings. BBBY stock then gave back the bulk of its gains.</p>\n<p>But the home goods retailer appears to be back on the radar of the WallStreetBets discussion group. On June 2, Bed Bath &amp; Beyond soared 62% before diving 28% the next session.</p>\n<p>The rest of the top 10 stocks have also outperformed the broader market. Macy's is up 68% year to date, while Resideo, Pacific Premier and Ameris have risen more than 40% each. The lowest gainer, bank holding company First Hawaiian, has advanced 20%. Wage pressures play a key role in determining the inflation outlook.</p>\n<p>\"We don't know how many people will come back into the labor market, how participation will rise, and will it be enough to dampen inflationary pressures,\" Shepherdson said.</p>\n<p>\"In the olden days, the Fed would have raised interest rates first and worried about what was going to happen afterwards. This is an important shift. That might happen in July, but not now.</p>\n<p>To downplay the significance, the Fed won't say anything about the \"talks about tapering\" in its formal statement, next Wednesday afternoon, O'Sullivan said.</p>\n<p>Secondly, the Fed's dot-plot, or interest rate forecast chart, may show a shift forward for the first rate hike to come during 2023. While it may be tempting, it is too soon to add Federal Reserve policymakers to that list.\nMuch will be made next week out of some potentially \"hawkish\" sounds from the U.S. central bank's policy meeting, economists said, while they stressed that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and the majority of the voting members of the interest rate setting committee remain \"doves\" and fundamentally will be sticking to their \"patient\" stance on monetary policy.\n\"They are going to be a little bit less dovish than last time,\" said Jim O'Sullivan, chief U.S. macro strategist for TD Securities.\nU.S. inflation has been sizzling in recent months.\nBut the recent decline in long-term Treasury yields allows the Fed to lean into the hawkish message, O'Sullivan said.\nWhile inflation has been surprisingly hot, the Fed \"is willing to wait\" until the fall to see how the labor market responds to the inflation spike, said Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics. Wage pressures play a key role in determining the inflation outlook.\n\"We don't know how many people will come back into the labor market, how participation will rise, and will it be enough to dampen inflationary pressures,\" Shepherdson said.\n\"In the olden days, the Fed would have raised interest rates first and worried about what was going to happen afterwards. But this is a different Fed with a different strategy and a different approach,\" he said.\nThe Fed is buying $80 billion of Treasurys and $40 billion of mortgage backed securities each month, along with keeping its benchmark interest rate close to zero, to support the economy.\nThe central bank put itself in a bit of a box in December by guiding markets that it wouldn't slow down the pace of purchases until there had been \"substantial further progress\" in its goals of full employment and stable inflation.\nWhat will be the hawkish sounds?\nFirst, the Fed will give in to the reality that talking about tapering the size of its asset purchases makes sense. This is an important shift. Since December, Powell has managed to hold off such talk.\nBut this is only the most preliminary of steps.\nInstead \"officials will talk in general straw-poll terms on what principles ought to apply,\" said Lou Crandall, chief economist at Wrightson ICAP.\nIt won't be the Fed having a structured debate on a set of options game-planned by the staff. That might happen in July, but not now.\nTo downplay the significance, the Fed won't say anything about the \"talks about tapering\" in its formal statement, next Wednesday afternoon, O'Sullivan said.\nSecondly, the Fed's dot-plot, or interest rate forecast chart, may show a shift forward for the first rate hike to come during 2023. At the moment, the Fed shows no rate hikes until 2024 at the earliest.\nAt its March meeting, seven out of 18 Fed officials saw a hike before the end of 2023, and it could be nine or ten officials at the June meeting next week.\nThirdly, the Fed will have to raise its forecast for inflation for this year. In March, the Fed penciled in a 2.2% core rate for the personal consumption expenditure index. While that may rise, the Fed won't move the core rate for 2022 much higher, a signal that it still believes the price gains seen in the last few months reflects \"largely transitory\" factors.\nDuring press conferences, Powell has said the economy is \"a long way\" from the Fed's goals and it would take \"some time\" for substantial further progress to be achieved.\n\"I wouldn't pound the table and say exactly what Powell is going to say but it is time to start getting away from that language,\" O'Sullivan of TD Securities said.\nAt the same time, the Fed has got to say that while the economy has made progress, they still need to see a lot more,\" he added.\nWhen the Fed added the \"substantial further progress\" guideline, the economy was 9.8 million jobs short of its level in February 2020.
