If we are holding quality stocks like FAANG, then don't worry. What we are waiting is its growth and valuation 10 years later. Short term price movements or corrections is just another road bump in our long investing journey.
Tesla got a good run last month. Expecting traders to start unloading soon to secure profit. How deep will this dip will depends on how many institutional investors are waiting to collect at lower price. Not going to be in a hurry to pick up bargains since the show only just started.
Reactions to Musk's poll on offloading 10% of Tesla stock
Next week will be interesting. FAAMG earning reports and FOMC meeting. Hope it's not a buy the rumour, sell the news week. Never a good trader so going sit on my hands and observe.
Wall Street surges to all-time closing high on earnings, economic revival
The best thing to do is just check the companies earning report. If you like it, just hold for another quarter. Ignore the daily news. They are often cooked up to justify daily movement or to push certain agenda. Daily news are not here to help the common folks. More to stir up irrational emotions and induce mistakes from retail investors.
Here’s your to-do list before the stock market’s next dive
Baba is a crown jewel of China. Their gov won't kill it. But they need to show them who is in charge. Only buy if one can hold more than 5 years. This drama might continue longer than we like
Not only Elon is selling, many big tech companies management are selling their shares. The reason might be due to taxes, personal reasons or just feeling the price is being overvalued. Hard for us to tell the real reason. No point to speculate. We can also sell part of our holdings and buy back later when cheaper. But never sell all. We might be just wrong in our guess
Musk has sold 75.66% of Tesla shares he promised to sell
While these theories are valid when choosing small potential growth companies, in the end, it's still a 50/50 chance. Small businesses can be just put out of business due to changing environment or big companies coming into the niche. Buy more such companies and hope you get a few gems. But your gains may not be as big when you are diversified. Or might be even worse as some are just bad at picking. In the end, buy big quality companies or index might just be better for the common folks

To be honest, macro environment is not good for market. Tapering, debt ceiling, Covid, US-China trade war, etc. But there are also too much cash waiting to come into the market. Staying vested but also cautious about adding more until a good opportunity comes. Good luck, everyone
S&P 500 hasn't fallen 5% from a peak in nearly 200 sessions--what that tells market historians
Baba should have decent earning reports. But the regulatory risk from the Chinese gov is still a concern. Should continue put pressure on the price whenever new measures or news is out. Do not expect BABA to break out of even 220 within 3-6 months. Might have to hold more than 2-3 years. Not for short term holders.
If one is already heavily vested in the market, there is no point to add the last 10-20% of your cash into the market. To be honest, outlook is not as good as many thinks. Just sit and observe first
Please do note that he is only 80% done from his initial planned 10% sales. He mentioned that he sold enough but did not said he is done with selling. The media interpret as such. I think Elon will still sell more, but at a slower pace. Good or bad, it's up to individual to judge.
Tesla returns to the $1 trillion club after Musk says stock sales are done
Tech is the way forward as everything goes online now. But also have to admit that PE is high for many now. Just wait for a decent correction or only invest in those highly profitable tech companies. Avoid those with hype but no revenue to back it up.
Wedbush's Dan Ives: Don't throw in the towel on tech
Too much liquidity in the market, pushing even the unprofitable companies up. Plus the retail investors chasing hype. But an irrational market might stay irrational for longer than we think. Stay vested to enjoy the ride up? Or sell to cash out the profit? Or the middle ground, start trimming our position? Up to individual judgement
Trending downward. For those who are convinced of its future, it's worth a buy. But do buy in batches. I actually bought some last night below 900 and is waiting for 800+ and 700+. May come, or may not come. 2022 might be a difficult year for stock market so please do not get over confidence and buy big.

Meta is getting attractive compared to the other 2 that had ran ahead. Might be good to consider Meta if one is interested to have some positions in the Metaverse
Not sure if there is more to fall with the eventual fall of Evergrande. Huge amount of debts going to be defaulted. Expecting the Chinese market to be affected. Let's hope the effect will not be as big as it's seems to be. Not optimistic about it. Stay cautious, everyone.
