href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AMD\">AMD) stock has stumbled out of the gate in 2021. Shares of the chip giant are down about 6% year to date, underperforming the broad market by a wide margin.
\n

\n
Data by YCharts.
\n
That's surprising as AMD is about to deliver yet another year of outstanding growth. The company has been dominating Intel in the CPU market and is sitting on favorable trends in the GPU (graphics processing unit) space where demand is substantially outpacing supply. It could also win big in server processors.
\n
However, these are not the only catalysts for AMD in 2021. The arrival of a new generation of gaming consoles from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Sony (NYSE:SNE) is also turning out to be a major tailwind for the company -- one that could help the chipmaker exceed its own expectations as it supplies chips for both devices.
\n
The new gaming consoles are witnessing unprecedented demand
\n
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles have been setting the sales charts on fire in recent months. The PS5, for instance, sold 4.5 million units in less than 50 days since its launch on Nov. 12, according to Sony's fiscal 2020 third-quarter report.
\n
The company expects its PS5 console to break the record of its predecessor and to exceed sales of 7.6 million units by the end of March. That would be slightly higher than the 7.5 million PS4 units Sony sold from Nov. 2013 through Mar. 2014. According to another estimate, Sony might ship as many as eight million new consoles by the end of this month, though that would depend on the company's ability to procure more components amid a global shortage of chips.
\n
The long-term picture also seems bright. The PS5 is expected to clock consistently strong sales in the coming years and may eventually top 200 million units shipped per third-party forecasts. The PlayStation 2 has been Sony's best-selling console to date with lifetime shipments of approximately 159 million units, while the PS4 has reportedly shipped around 115 million units. The PS5 has a real shot at dethroning its predecessor in the long run as there are millions of console users in an upgrade window.
\n
Microsoft's Xbox Series X, on the other hand, is also witnessing strong early demand. Niko Partners estimates that Microsoft moved 3.5 million units of its new console in November and December of last year. The firm points out that the figure would have been higher had Microsoft not underestimated demand and produced more consoles. Management says the new Xbox is likely to be in short supply until July this year with the company reportedly selling out every console that it made last quarter.
\n
All of this indicates that the new gaming hardware is likely to remain in high demand, which bodes well for AMD's enterprise, embedded and semi-custom (EESC) business.
\n

\n
\n
And that demand has created a massive tailwind for AMD
\n
AMD's EESC revenue shot up 176% year over year in the fourth quarter to $1.28 billion (the segment had delivered recorded just 7% revenue growth in the prior-year period). AMD management credited a ramp-up in the sales of semi-custom chips for this tremendous performance on the Jan. 26 earnings conference call:
\n
\n Semi-custom sales increase year over year and sequentially based on strong demand for the next generation Sony and Microsoft consoles. Our semi-custom SoC sales are ramping faster than the last console cycle, and we expect sales to be better than typical seasonality in the first half of this year based on the current strong demand.\n
\n
This indicates that the EESC business can continue to clock high growth rates in 2021, and that's great news for AMD as this segment produced 40% of total revenue last quarter. By comparison, the EESC business accounted for only 22% of the top line in the fourth quarter of 2019 when the new console cycle had yet to arrive.
\n
Thanks to the rapid expansion of this business, as well as other growth drivers in CPUs and GPUs, analysts covering AMD stock have increased their earnings estimates significantly in the past month.
\n

\n
Data by YCharts.
\n
At the same time, the stock has become cheaper because of its pullback. AMD is now trading at 42 times trailing earnings, way below the 2020 average earnings multiple of over 120. This should make AMD very attractive to growth investors as it aims to deliver 37% revenue growth in 2021 after last year's 45% increase.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
1 Reason Why You Should Buy the Dip in AMD Stock
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n1 Reason Why You Should Buy the Dip in AMD Stock\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-03-02 22:20 GMT+8 Harsh Chauhan\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) stock has stumbled out of the gate in 2021. This should make AMD very attractive to growth investors as it aims to deliver 37% revenue growth in 2021 after last year's 45% increase.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":236,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":357949025,"gmtCreate":1617234930167,"gmtModify":1634521938982,"author":{"id":"3572311355235433","authorId":"3572311355235433","name":"Nhk","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/398b997b5b8e8aedb95ad8d2f0ad0808","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572311355235433","authorIdStr":"3572311355235433"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[财迷] ","listText":"[财迷] ","text":"[财迷]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/357949025","repostId":"1196818239","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1196818239","pubTimestamp":1617181590,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1196818239?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-31 17:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"President Biden will unveil his $2 trillion infrastructure plan today – here are the details","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1196818239","media":"cnbc","summary":"President Joe Biden will unveil a more than $2 trillion infrastructure and economic recovery package on Wednesday. The plan aims to revitalize U.S. transportation infrastructure, water systems, broadband and manufacturing, among other goals. An increase in the corporate tax rate to 28% and measures designed to prevent offshoring of profits will fund the spending, according to the White House.PresidentJoe Bidenwill unveil a more than $2 trillion infrastructure package on Wednesday as his administra","content":"
\n
KEY POINTS\n\nPresident Joe Biden will unveil a more than $2 trillion infrastructure and economic recovery package on Wednesday.\nThe plan aims to revitalize U.S. transportation infrastructure, water ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The administration aims to approve a first proposal designed to create jobs, revamp U.S. infrastructure and fight climate change before it turns toward a second plan to improve education and expand paid leave and health-care coverage.\nThrough the plan announced Wednesday, the White House aims to show it can “revitalize our national imagination and put millions of Americans to work right now,” the administration official said.\nThe White House plans to fund the spending by raising the corporate tax rate to 28%. Republicans slashed the levy to 21% from 35% as part of their 2017 tax law.\nThe administration also aims to boost the global minimum tax for multinational corporations and ensure they pay at least 21%. The White House also aims to discourage firms from listing tax havens as their address and writing off expenses related to offshoring, among other reforms.\nBiden hopes the package will create manufacturing jobs and rescue failing American infrastructure as the country tries to emerge from the shadow of Covid-19. He and congressional Democrats also aim to combat climate change and start a transition to cleaner energy sources.\nThe president was set to announce his plans in Pittsburgh, a city where organized labor has a strong presence and the economy has undergone a shift from traditional manufacturing and mining to health care and technology. Biden, who has pledged to create union jobs as part of the infrastructure plan, launched his presidential campaign at a Pittsburgh union hall in 2019.\nWhile Democrats narrowly control both chambers of Congress, the party faces challenges in passing the infrastructure plan. The GOP broadly supports efforts to rebuild roads, bridges and airports and expand broadband access, but Republicans oppose tax hikes as part of the process.\n“We’re hearing the next few months might bring a so-called infrastructure proposal that may actually be a Trojan horse for massive tax hikes and other job-killing left-wing policies,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said earlier this month.\nBiden has said he hopes to win Republican support for an infrastructure bill. If Democrats cannot get 10 GOP senators on board, they will have to try to pass the bill through budget reconciliation, which would not require any Republicans to back the plan in a chamber split 50-50 by party.\nThey would also have to consider whether to package the physical infrastructure plans with other recovery policies including universal pre-K and expanded paid leave. Republicans likely would not back more spending to boost the social safety net, especially if Democrats move to hike taxes on the wealthy to fund programs.\nThe administration official did not say whether Biden would seek to pass the plan with bipartisan support.\n“We will begin and will already have begun to do extensive outreach to our counterparts in Congress,” the official said.\nAsked Monday about how the bill could pass, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Biden would “leave the mechanics of bill passing to [Senate Majority] Leader [Chuck] Schumer and other leaders in Congress.”\nAs of now, Democrats will have two more shots at budget reconciliation before the 2022 midterms. Schumer, D-N.Y., hopes to convince the chamber’s parliamentarian to allow Democrats to use the process at least once more beyond those two opportunities, according to NBC News.\nThe party passed its $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package without a Republican vote.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":249,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":351093312,"gmtCreate":1616543779736,"gmtModify":1631888948310,"author":{"id":"3572311355235433","authorId":"3572311355235433","name":"Nhk","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/398b997b5b8e8aedb95ad8d2f0ad0808","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572311355235433","authorIdStr":"3572311355235433"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[晕] ","listText":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[晕] ","text":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[晕]","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/c6048d32dd7795c8694c8fb03c7ff42d","width":"1125","height":"1949"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/351093312","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":110,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":324106215,"gmtCreate":1615970863937,"gmtModify":1703495684871,"author":{"id":"3572311355235433","authorId":"3572311355235433","name":"Nhk","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/398b997b5b8e8aedb95ad8d2f0ad0808","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572311355235433","authorIdStr":"3572311355235433"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[喷血] ","listText":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[喷血] ","text":"$Caladrius Biosciences(CLBS)$[喷血]","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/2021a481e04eba78e3bc35c02a2337e2","width":"1125","height":"1949"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/324106215","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":671,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":320663470,"gmtCreate":1615094060890,"gmtModify":1703484691545,"author":{"id":"3572311355235433","authorId":"3572311355235433","name":" . Asian stocks skidded on Friday (March 5) as rising US Treasury yields again rattled equity investors while hoisting the US dollar to a three-month high, which in turn dragged the Japanese yen to an eight-month trough.Energy markets were not spared the volatility either, with oil prices surging more than 5 per cent overnight to their highest in over a year, after Opec and its allies agreed to keep production unchanged into April as demand recovery from the coronavirus pandemic was still fragile. In early Friday trade, Australian stocks shed 1 per cent, Japan's Nikkei share average lost 0.7 per cent, shares in Seoul fell 0.24 per cent and E-Mini S&P futures were a touch lower at 0.04 per cent.US stocks had dropped sharply on Thursday after Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell disappointed some investors by not indicating that the Fed might step up purchases of long-term bonds to hold down longer-term interest rates. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite tumbled 2.1 per cent, taking it down about 10 per cent from its record closing high on Feb. 12 and putting it in correction territory.Even though Mr Powell made it clear that the Fed was not close to changing its ultra-loose monetary policy stance anytime soon, some analysts still worried rising Treasury yields could herald higher borrowing costs, thereby limiting the fragile US economic recovery.\"The US dollar has gained 0.8 per cent, and there you see the holy trinity of market fears - rising real rates, increased expectations of rate hikes, and a stronger US dollar,\" said Chris Weston, the head of Research at Pepperstone Markets Ltd, a foreign exchange broker, in Australia.Bond investors with a bearish view of Treasuries took heart in Mr Powell's remarks and sold the notes. The yield on 10-year Treasuries climbed above 1.5 per cent to as high as 1.5727 per cent, but still below a one-year high of 1.614 per cent struck last week. The yield curve, a measure of economic expectations, steepened on rising yields, with the gap between two- and 10-year yields widening by another 6.3 basis points overnight.Rising Treasury yields bolstered demand for the US dollar. The dollar index jumped 0.61 per cent against a basket of major currencies to 91.651, within sight of a three-month high of 91.663.A stronger dollar hobbled the yen. By early Friday, the yen was soft at 107.95, a level not seen since July 1.The euro was also tripped by a firmer dollar, with the common currency sluggish at US$1.19665.Climbing yields and dollar strength pummeled gold prices, which sank to a nine-month low as investors sold the precious metal to reduce the opportunity cost of holding the non-yielding asset.Spot gold slid another 0.2 per cent early Friday to stand at US$1,694.0600 per ounce, trading below US$1,700 for the first time since June 2020.Oil prices, on the other hand, extended gains on early Friday after zooming higher overnight.US crude futures climbed 0.85 per cent to US$64.38 a barrel, after scaling its January 2020 peak of US$64.86 overnight. Analysts said Opec's decision to not increase output in April as many had expected showed what it is prepared to do to deplete an inventory overhang and keep prices elevated. In the cryptocurrency market, bitcoin narrowed overnight losses and was down 3.8 per cent at US$48,473 early Friday.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":78,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":366346938,"gmtCreate":1614400104824,"gmtModify":1703477310752,"author":{"id":"3572311355235433","authorId":"3572311355235433","name":"Nhk","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/398b997b5b8e8aedb95ad8d2f0ad0808","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572311355235433","authorIdStr":"3572311355235433"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"😞","listText":"😞","text":"😞","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/366346938","repostId":"2114037930","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2114037930","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1614330925,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2114037930?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-02-26 17:15","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Bitcoin falls over 6% to lowest in two weeks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2114037930","media":"Reuters","summary":"LONDON, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Bitcoin fell as much as 6% on Friday to its lowest in two weeks, as a rou","content":"
LONDON, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Bitcoin fell as much as 6% on Friday to its lowest in two weeks, as a rout in global bond markets sent yields flying and sparked a sell-off in riskier assets.

The world's biggest cryptocurrency slumped as low as $44,451 before recovering some of its losses.
