joint network (TTN) accelerating the delivery of 5G services nationwide following the availability of 3.5 GHz spectrum. Nokia is the exclusive supplier of 5G RAN and will support the modernization of the shared network ensuring TTN’s three million customers have the best connectivity experiences. The availability of spectrum in the 3.5GHz band will offer incredibly fast 5G speeds to customers.
\n
The modernization deal will focus initially on Denmark’s four largest cities before expanding to cover most Danish customers during 2022. It will see Nokia provide its ReefShark SoC (System on Chip) based AirScale 5G RAN portfolio including 5G Massive MIMO antennas to deliver enhanced ultra-fast, low-latency, and high capacity mobile broadband services to both TTN’s consumer and enterprise customers.
\n
The deal will see Nokia continue its partnership with both companies and the operation of the joint network, which first started in 2012. Nokia together with Telenor and Telia was the first to test 5G in Denmark and among the first to activate 5G on a shared network.
\n
TTN is Denmark's largest mobile network with more than 4,300 sites. The merger between the two networks first began in 2012 with both companies each owning 50 percent of the network. It provides customers with better coverage, capacity, and quality, as well as reducing the companies' overall CO2 footprint.
\n
Thomas Kjærsgaard, CEO of Telia Denmark, commented: “The 5G network supports the increasing need for data and advanced communication solutions in Denmark. With the modernization of the network, we are making a significant investment in and upgrade of the vital Danish telecoms infrastructure. A strong network is the foundation for our continued work to support the digitalization of Denmark, the development of our economy, innovation, and sustainable solutions for the future.\"
\n
Lars Thomsen, CEO of Telenor Denmark, said: “As with everything else we do, our rollout is based on how we create the most real value for our customers. With our nationwide network rollout, Danes will experience higher speeds and better coverage in both urban and peri-urban areas. Specifically, the 5G upgrades will mean twice the speeds in densely populated areas and significant improvements across the country.\"
\n
Tommi Uitto, President of Mobile Networks at Nokia, commented: “Nokia has a long-standing and collaborative partnership with TTN - Telenor and Telia’s joint venture. Together we have delivered many technology ‘firsts’, which highlights our shared commitment to providing word-class connectivity, including the TTN 5G pilot in Denmark which was the first network to simultaneously support 2G-5G sharing. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Telenor and Telia and support their ambition to promote digitalization in Danish society and deliver new exciting solutions to its consumer, enterprise, and Industry 4.0 customers.”
\n
Resources:
\n
Webpage: Nokia AirScale
\n
Webpage: Nokia 5G RAN
\n
About NokiaWe create technology that helps the world act together.
\n
As a trusted partner for critical networks, we are committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks. Even this forecast builds in slower inflation in the coming months, economists noted.
\n
Last Thursday's consumer-price index report to a 13-year high of 5%, reflecting a broad increase in prices confronting Americans.
\n
In an outcome that was more hawkish than expected, the Fed's dot plot chart showed 11 of 18 officials expect at least two rate hikes in 2023. In March, only seven expected one hike. Seven officials now see the first hike next year, up from four in March.
\n
\"After dismissing rising inflation and inflation expectations for the past three months...it feels like the FOMC just put their hands back on the wheel,\" wrote Aneta Markowska, economist at Jefferies, in a note to clients.
\n
Just as importantly, Powell announced the Fed held its first discussion about slowing down its bond purchases.
\n
The Fed is buying $80 billion of Treasurys and $40 billion of mortgage-backed securities each month, along with keeping its benchmark interest rate pinned close to zero, in a concerted effort to keep financial markets stable and support the economy.
\n
The Fed has said it wanted to see \"substantial further progress\" before slowing down the bond purchases -- the first step of pulling back all the support for the economy.
\n
\"Taper discussions will get more serious at the July meeting,\" Markowska said.
\n
Many economists, including former U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, say the Fed needs to rethink its policy given the two massive fiscal stimulus passed by Congress since December.
\n
U.S. stocks fell sharply after the Fed decision but recovered somewhat with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 265 points at the close.
\n
The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 1.56% from 1.49% on Tuesday.
\n
Joe Lavorgna, chief economist for the Americas at Natixis, played down the bond market reaction.
\n
\"The market basically took everything Powell said in stride,\" Lavorgna said in a phone interview. The S&P 500 Information Technology Index’s ratio to the benchmark gauge of American equities set this year’s low in March, and then climbed as demand for the debt caused yields to fall.“We do not expect a meaningful rise in the TIPS yield,” Garthwaite wrote, citing U.S. monetary policy and other influences. These are some of the main moves in markets:StocksThe S&P 500 fell 0.4% as of 10:34 a.m. New York timeThe Nasdaq 100 was little changedThe Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4%The Stoxx Europe 600 was little changedThe MSCI World index fell 0.5%CurrenciesThe Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index rose 0.4%The euro fell 0.4% to $1.2072The British pound fell 0.6% to $1.3863The Japanese yen fell 0.1% to 109.06 per dollarBondsThe yield on 10-year Treasuries was little changed at 1.63%Germany’s 10-year yield declined one basis point to -0.21%Britain’s 10-year yield was little changed at 0.83%CommoditiesWest Texas Intermediate crude fell 2.1% to $64 a barrelGold futures were little changed","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":461,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":377038394,"gmtCreate":1619483824518,"gmtModify":1631887793377,"author":{"id":"3567859927536608","authorId":"3567859927536608","name":"GerwynLee","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567859927536608","authorIdStr":"3567859927536608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Bionano Genomics(BNGO)$Super bullish","listText":"$Bionano Genomics(BNGO)$Super bullish","text":"$Bionano Genomics(BNGO)$Super bullish","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/377038394","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":512,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":376543986,"gmtCreate":1619138660245,"gmtModify":1634288288366,"author":{"id":"3567859927536608","authorId":"3567859927536608","name":"GerwynLee","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567859927536608","authorIdStr":"3567859927536608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Temporary dip, focusing on covid pandemic will hhelp","listText":"Temporary dip, focusing on covid pandemic will hhelp","text":"Temporary dip, focusing on covid pandemic will hhelp","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/376543986","repostId":"2129336573","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2129336573","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1619121680,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2129336573?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-23 04:01","market":"us","language":"en","title":"U.S. stocks drop on news of Biden tax proposals","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2129336573","media":"Reuters","summary":"AT&T rises on strong quarterly resultsU.S. weekly jobless claims decline furtherIndexes down: Dow 0.","content":"

AT&T rises on strong quarterly results

U.S. weekly jobless claims decline further

Indexes down: Dow 0.94%, S&P 500 0.92%, Nasdaq 0.94%

By Herbert Lash

NEW YORK, April 22 (Reuters) - The short-seller claimed the pickup was years away from production, however Lordstown maintains it’s on track to start producing the vehicle in September.\nLordstown CEO Steve Burns declined to comment on the SEC inquiry Thursday morning to CNBC. He told investors during the company’s first earnings call as a public company Wednesday that it was “cooperating” with federal officials.\nBurns said the company’s highly-touted pre-orders of more than 100,000 pickups — a main target of the Hindenburg report — were simply meant to gauge customer interest, not to confirm future sales. The company previously categorized the pre-orders as “non-binding production reservations” as well, but Burns also has referred to them as “very serious orders.”\n“We’ve always been very clear, right? These are just what they’re intended to be. These are non-binding, letters of intent. They’re called pre-orders out in the real world,” he said Thursday onCNBC’s “Squawk Box.”He later added, “I don’t think anyone thought that we had actual orders, right? That’s just not the nature of this business.”\nShares of Lordstown have tumbled by about 24% since Hindenburg released the report Friday. The stock was down by about 10% during intraday trading Thursday morning. The company’s market cap is $2.3 billion.\nThe company on Wednesday also increased its guidance on capital and operational expenses for this year, largely citing decisions to accelerate the development of its second product (a van) and do more in house production.\nLordstown went public through a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC,in October. It is among a growing group of electric vehicle start-ups going public through deals with SPACs, which have become a popular way of raising money on Wall Street because they have a more streamlined regulatory process than traditional initial public offerings.\nHindenburg’s report on Lordstown comes about six months after it released a scathing report regarding another EV-SPAC start-upNikola. That report also led to federal inquires as well asthe resignationof the company’s founder and chairman, Trevor Milton.\nShort selling is when investors, mostly professional hedge fund managers, borrow shares of a stock from a broker and sell them in the hope of buying them back cheaper. If the stock drops, the investors make a profit off the difference when they return the shares to the broker.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":438,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":161628203,"gmtCreate":1623923637702,"gmtModify":1634025826928,"author":{"id":"3567859927536608","authorId":"3567859927536608","name":"GerwynLee","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567859927536608","authorIdStr":"3567859927536608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Fundamentals are changing","listText":"Fundamentals are changing","text":"Fundamentals are changing","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/161628203","repostId":"2144710563","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":285,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":101697351,"gmtCreate":1619891344173,"gmtModify":1634209287814,"author":{"id":"3567859927536608","authorId":"3567859927536608","name":"GerwynLee","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567859927536608","authorIdStr":"3567859927536608"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"FUD market","listText":"FUD market","text":"FUD market","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/101697351","repostId":"1186088353","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1186088353","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1619795143,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1186088353?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-30 23:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Stocks Decline Amid Earnings, Economic Reports: Markets Wrap","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1186088353","media":"Yahoo","summary":"Stocks dropped from all-time highs as traders assessed corporate earnings and economic data showing ","content":"
Stocks dropped from all-time highs as traders assessed corporate earnings and economic data showing potential inflation pressures.
