With more than $11 trillion in index products -- both ETFs and mutual funds -- concerns range from the inefficient allocation of capital to intensified volatility and price distortion.\nStill, in their conclusion the researchers from Cornell and UTS hint that, just because ETFs may be less passive than intended, it doesn’t automatically absolve them from all charges.\n“Precisely because many ETFs are active investment vehicles, their impact on the market more generally is an important area for future research,” they wrote. “Issues such as whether ETFs enhance market stability, or how ETFs impact liquidity, or whether particular types of ETFs (such as leveraged products or exchange-traded notes) can be harmful seem fruitful areas for inquiry.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":100,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":832531338,"gmtCreate":1629651003924,"gmtModify":1631890670328,"author":{"id":"3554969783475279","authorId":"3554969783475279","name":"SkyBrother","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/91cad0305dd446f3d4db11dc1364bf77","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554969783475279","authorIdStr":"3554969783475279"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/832531338","repostId":"1128033677","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":164,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":832531059,"gmtCreate":1629650945171,"gmtModify":1631890670340,"author":{"id":"3554969783475279","authorId":"3554969783475279","name":"SkyBrother","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/91cad0305dd446f3d4db11dc1364bf77","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554969783475279","authorIdStr":"3554969783475279"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/832531059","repostId":"1133515985","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":83,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":838661594,"gmtCreate":1629393529018,"gmtModify":1631890670351,"author":{"id":"3554969783475279","authorId":"3554969783475279","name":"SkyBrother","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/91cad0305dd446f3d4db11dc1364bf77","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554969783475279","authorIdStr":"3554969783475279"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hmmmm..","listText":"Hmmmm..","text":"Hmmmm..","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/838661594","repostId":"2160760193","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2160760193","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1629385581,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2160760193?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-08-19 23:06","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 Stocks That Can Make You Richer in August","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2160760193","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These growth stocks look primed to be big winners.","content":"
This has been the kind of year that seems to be lasting forever while also flying by. The stock is now down roughly 44.5% from its market high and trades around $49.
\n
The market seems to have doubts about the business' path back to profitability, but the company could deliver big wins for patient investors. The hook of Bumble's namesake dating application is that women send the first message on the platform. This inverts the typical gender dynamic on dating apps and gives Bumble a significant point of differentiation, and the company has built a strong brand by providing a user experience that sets it apart from the competition. Bumble also operates Badoo, a dating network with a large (but less profitable) user base outside the U.S.
\n
Sales climbed 38% year over year in the second quarter to reach $186.2 million, with revenue for the Bumble app jumping 55% to $127 million and revenue from Badoo and other business climbing 11% year over year to $58.9 million. Total paying users across the company's ecosystem jumped 20% to 2.9 million, and average revenue per user climbed 15% compared to the prior-year period.
\n
Bumble's net loss roughly doubled to hit $11.1 million in the second quarter, but the business was posting profits before the pandemic created some extra headwinds, and its potential for sales and margin expansion are far from tapping out. Building the reach of its core app will likely take near-term priority over earnings growth, but that makes sense at this stage, and expanding its user base and experimenting with ways to increase average user spending could put the business in a position to become a cash machine.
\n
With a market capitalization of roughly $5.7 billion, Bumble is valued at approximately 7.5 times this year's expected sales. The online dating market looks poised for strong growth through the next decade and beyond, and the company could deliver fantastic returns for shareholders if it continues to capture a substantial portion of the market.
\n
Nintendo
\n
Despite some headwinds created by the coronavirus pandemic causing some delays in game releases, the video game industry looks poised for more strong growth over the long term. The strength of the company's software lineup has also helped it score big wins in the hardware space, and its Switch console is on track to be one of the most successful video game systems ever. Even better, the company is set to roll out an updated version of the console in October, which should spur millions of new unit sales and help prolong the life of the platform.
\n
Nintendo has an incredible library of classic software under its belt, and it should be able to continue monetizing these titles with new re-releases and ports. The company also still has huge long-term growth potential in the mobile market, and there's even room for its classic characters to expand into new entertainment mediums and merchandizing opportunities.
\n
With Nintendo's share price down roughly 28% from its 52-week high, the stock stands out as a worthwhile play for investors looking to benefit from the long-term growth of the global games industry.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
2 Stocks That Can Make You Richer in August
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n2 Stocks That Can Make You Richer in August\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-08-19 23:06 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
This has been the kind of year that seems to be lasting forever while also flying by. However, after today's 18% plunge, and as an indication of what a slog 2021 has been so far, the shares still sit 53% into the red on a year-to-date basis. That said, one Street analyst is confident the electric truck battery pack supplier has many more green days to look forward to.\nBTIG’s Gregory Lewis reiterated a Buy rating on RMO shares along with a $30 price target. The analyst, therefore, expects the stock to climb by another 187% over the coming months. (To watch Lewis’ track record, click here)\nRMO’s turnaround came after the company announced it has entered a long-term battery supply agreement with Paccar. Romeo will supply battery packs to the heavy-truck giant for its Peterbilt 579 (Class-8 truck) and 520 (Refuse Truck) battery-electric truck (BET) models, in a deal which will last through 2025. The deal targets the US and Canadian markets, and the first battery shipment is anticipated in 2022.\nLewis notes two of Paccar’s brands – the Peterbilt and the Kenworth - together account for roughly 30% of the US and Canada Class 8 truck market and take a ~20% cut of the medium-duty market.\nLewis is in no doubt as to the deal’s importance for Romeo for two specific reasons. For one, it brings a “world-class heavy-duty truck manufacturer into RMO's customer base.” Secondly, the agreement will lay to rest some of the worries regarding Romeo’s value proposition.\n“One of the biggest pushbacks around RMO's $500+M backlog has been its customers are largely new/start-up EV suppliers (this supply agreement changes that),” the analyst said. “The other key pushback on RMO has been the technology, in other words, any company can assemble a battery pack. And while that is true, the rubber looks to be meeting the road with this supply agreement in that not all battery technology nor battery packs are created equal.”\nEV platforms are particularly handy for refuse trucks due to their stop-start nature and silent engines. The Peterbilt 520 boasts a range of approximately 100-miles and charges in just 4-hours. As garbage trucks often end up traveling to their unloading destinations, Lewis notes that integrating an RMO battery “should boost that current range offering.”\nLewis is Romeo’s most prominent Street bull. The stock currently has a Hold consensus rating based on 2 Buys and 1 Hold and Sell, each. The average price target stands at $15.43 and suggests upside potential of ~48% in the year ahead. Temperatures might be running high, but summer is winding down, and investors are weighing opportunity against uncertainty as we head into the fall season.
\n
Markets are seeing volatile trading, but recent sell-offs in some corners have also created opportunities to build positions in strong companies at a discount. With that in mind, read on for a look at two stocks that are worth buying before the month is out.
\n

\n
\n
Bumble
\n
Bumble Inc. (NASDAQ:BMBL) went public in February, and it's fair to say that investors have had a hot-and-cold relationship with the dating app stock on the heels of its market debut.
\n
Shares were initially priced at $43 and quickly climbed to nearly $85 per share shortly after the company's public debut, but it's been tough going from there.
Research firm Newzoo estimates that annual industry revenue will come in at roughly $176 billion this year and go on to hit roughly $205 billion by 2023. Nintendo Co., Ltd. (OTC:NTDOY) has one of the most valuable collections of gaming franchises in the industry, and it looks poised to capitalize on growing demand for interactive entertainment.
\n
Characters including Mario and Donkey Kong made their debut roughly 40 years ago and have been delighting audiences ever since. The Pokémon franchise, which Nintendo is co-owner of, stands as the best-selling gaming series of all time, by some accounts. The company is kind of like the Walt Disney of the gaming industry.
\n
The Japanese gaming giant has shown that its franchises and characters have staying power and that it can innovate and deliver new experiences that meet shifting player tastes. Temperatures might be running high, but summer is winding down, and investors are weighing opportunity against uncertainty as we head into the fall season.\nMarkets are seeing volatile trading, but recent sell-offs in some corners have also created opportunities to build positions in strong companies at a discount. With that in mind, read on for a look at two stocks that are worth buying before the month is out.\n\nImage source: Getty Images.\nBumble\nBumble Inc. (NASDAQ:BMBL) went public in February, and it's fair to say that investors have had a hot-and-cold relationship with the dating app stock on the heels of its market debut.\nShares were initially priced at $43 and quickly climbed to nearly $85 per share shortly after the company's public debut, but it's been tough going from there. The stock is now down roughly 44.5% from its market high and trades around $49.\nThe market seems to have doubts about the business' path back to profitability, but the company could deliver big wins for patient investors. The hook of Bumble's namesake dating application is that women send the first message on the platform. This inverts the typical gender dynamic on dating apps and gives Bumble a significant point of differentiation, and the company has built a strong brand by providing a user experience that sets it apart from the competition. Bumble also operates Badoo, a dating network with a large (but less profitable) user base outside the U.S.\nSales climbed 38% year over year in the second quarter to reach $186.2 million, with revenue for the Bumble app jumping 55% to $127 million and revenue from Badoo and other business climbing 11% year over year to $58.9 million. Total paying users across the company's ecosystem jumped 20% to 2.9 million, and average revenue per user climbed 15% compared to the prior-year period.\nBumble's net loss roughly doubled to hit $11.1 million in the second quarter, but the business was posting profits before the pandemic created some extra headwinds, and its potential for sales and margin expansion are far from tapping out. Building the reach of its core app will likely take near-term priority over earnings growth, but that makes sense at this stage, and expanding its user base and experimenting with ways to increase average user spending could put the business in a position to become a cash machine.\nWith a market capitalization of roughly $5.7 billion, Bumble is valued at approximately 7.5 times this year's expected sales. The online dating market looks poised for strong growth through the next decade and beyond, and the company could deliver fantastic returns for shareholders if it continues to capture a substantial portion of the market.\nNintendo\nDespite some headwinds created by the coronavirus pandemic causing some delays in game releases, the video game industry looks poised for more strong growth over the long term. Research firm Newzoo estimates that annual industry revenue will come in at roughly $176 billion this year and go on to hit roughly $205 billion by 2023. Nintendo Co., Ltd. (OTC:NTDOY) has one of the most valuable collections of gaming franchises in the industry, and it looks poised to capitalize on growing demand for interactive entertainment.\nCharacters including Mario and Donkey Kong made their debut roughly 40 years ago and have been delighting audiences ever since. The Pokémon franchise, which Nintendo is co-owner of, stands as the best-selling gaming series of all time, by some accounts. The company is kind of like the Walt Disney of the gaming industry.\nThe Japanese gaming giant has shown that its franchises and characters have staying power and that it can innovate and deliver new experiences that meet shifting player tastes. The strength of the company's software lineup has also helped it score big wins in the hardware space, and its Switch console is on track to be one of the most successful video game systems ever. Even better, the company is set to roll out an updated version of the console in October, which should spur millions of new unit sales and help prolong the life of the platform.\nNintendo has an incredible library of classic software under its belt, and it should be able to continue monetizing these titles with new re-releases and ports. The company also still has huge long-term growth potential in the mobile market, and there's even room for its classic characters to expand into new entertainment mediums and merchandizing opportunities.\nWith Nintendo's share price down roughly 28% from its 52-week high, the stock stands out as a worthwhile play for investors looking to benefit from the long-term growth of the global games industry.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":241,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":348905606,"gmtCreate":1617875811705,"gmtModify":1631890670377,"author":{"id":"3554969783475279","authorId":"3554969783475279","name":"SkyBrother","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/91cad0305dd446f3d4db11dc1364bf77","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3554969783475279","authorIdStr":"3554969783475279"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hold!
