World Health Organisation WHO has named the new African variant omicron and expressed concerns for this. USA has joined several European countries to limit/ban travels from African nations. 

this was the black swan that caused Dow Jones to tumble 900 points in a single day, its worse since October 2020. together with the lockdowns in Europe and other countries, the coming days can get rocky. there is coordinated strikes expected across few countries for $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ and this can cause some disruptions to their busiest black Friday, cyber Monday weekend. 

from my investments, the only stock that turned green is $Baidu(BIDU)$as they rolled out robotaxi in Beijing. 

while it is easy for us to affected by the bad news, I have also placed few limit orders for my long term holdings like $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$.

    The robot taxi is just a gimmick. who would be responsible if there was an accident? there's still a lot of work to be done, and at the moment, practicality is low.🤣🤣

    I like investing in technology companies. They really hold their value very well. they may be affected by various factors in the short term, but in the long term, the upward trend has not changed.

      yes. most tech companies are growth companies which are affected by interest rates increase. so watch out rotation from growth to value stocks

    The virus seems to be growing all the time, so it's quite normal to expect the downside. I wonder if pharmaceutical companies can develop a useful drug that can permanently kill the virus.
