2021投资大复盘

Hi everyone,

I am a new investor that join the tiger family in Oct this year. Tiger platform is the best I have seen so far, with smooth interface and easy to transfer and most importantly trade settled amount is instant.

I started off the year by buying some BABA shares and tiger shares at 180 USD and 10 USD. Along the way, I had DCA tiger shares over time as I think this company has alot of future growth potential ahead and is a fundamentally great company with excellent management. 

Unfortunately, market is not always green as Chinese stocks have become 中钙股. All Chinese stocks went down the slippery slope quickly and did not recover back yet. I had to exercise 8 puts in Nov ( bought 800 share at 7.5). Hence I am holding 1200 shares now. I do not intend to sell any as I am carrying spare cash in my account. It is held for long time. 

My biggest lost is BABA which the stock tanked after their financial report.  I sold off 10 out of 25 shares straight after the drop. Cutting loss need to be quick, otherwise you may regret yourself if you do it too late. I still hold 15 shares of BABA. 

I believe in the long term growth of $Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$so I bought more calls for Jan 23 and 24 as the stock is still down in anticipation that prices will recover. I am still holding the calls. I also sold some puts for 2022 to get the premium as I do not think tiger price will recover in this year. I am ok to buy the stock when the puts gets exercised next year. With my spare cash on hand. 

For the month of Dec, I adapted the strategy to hedge against the bear market sentiments by buying $Tuttle Capital Short Innovation ETF(SARK)$which shorts ARKK funds. I anticipate the fall of $ARK Innovation ETF(ARKK)$stocks to around 75 by end of this year. I have about 150 shares in SARK. The price of SARK is testing ATH now, and it will take awhile for it to go further up. I believe it will go up as I anticipate more will sell off ARKK, Tesla, coinbase, etc, crypto to fall and VIX is above 30 as well. 

I do not know what will happen in Jan 2022 next year. We can only see and react accordingly.
