$Lucid Group Inc(LCID)$$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ Tesla has issued senior convertible notes multiple times. It is a rapid means for a hypergrowth company to secure additional capital; and Lucid is locking in historically low rates. Scaling is cost intensive and Lucid just paid for a factory. Stocks are dropping because people are worried about a hawkish fed, and rising rates, that will effect growth companies in 2022 and beyond. Lucid just hedged against that. The pull back (probably orchestrated) is a perfect vehicle to entice investors to buy in to said senior convertible notes. And I guarantee if they were worried about the SEC, the deal would not happen. This is actually a smart move by a company sprinting to become a world leader in its technological niche. But people cannot see the forest for the tress. Give it time, and it will become obvious. Hold.
