Boeing took a hit due to Omicron concern. Opportunity?

I have shared on Boeing not too long ago. How fast things can change. End of Black Friday its trading below $200. As it seem to be turning around, the stock just took a tumble due to news of Omicron virus.

I am still holding hold to my holdings. But do not plan to add more for now.

Just a recap, Boeing is a leader in aviation, aerospace and defense technology supporting airlines and U.S. and allied government customers in more than 150 countries. Boeing technology, products and tailored services include commercial and military aircraft, satellites, defense systems, launch systems, advanced information and communication systems, and performance-based logistics and training.

A while ago, the company's head of commercial airplanes, say they are hopeful that China will soon clear Boeing's 737 to resume flying in the world's most popular country.

Separately, Boeing senior vice president told that the company is close to suming deliveries of the company's long-haul 787 Dreamliner, regulators permitting.

And few weeks back, the most encouraging news was international travel is recovering and supply chains remain snared, the freighter markets are on fire right now, which can carry cargo quickly as cargo ships and trucks remain stuck down on the ground.

Apparently, then air freighters are selling well enough that Boeing is converting some of its 737 passenger production lines to production 737-800BCF freighters instead. The company is in "advanced talks" to sell a future freighter-tailored 777X airplane.

Things were coming up roses for Boeing before Omicron and that bodes well for analysis forecasts that Boeing will return to proficiency this year after two straight years of booking losses on the basis of generously accepted accounting principles.

To me, Boeing continue to be a long term vesting. The impact of the pandemic will take years to recover. Personally I am vested but only a very small percentage.

For those who are planning to invest in Boeing, i felt, this might be a good time, assuming Omicron will not stop the travel recovery.@Tiger Stars
