Indeed there were a couple of "tug-wars" with opening up borders & closing prior to this. There are friends who've had their families caught Covid, mentioning that it's a disaster especially during the "hot period" of the Delta Plus variant. I kept thinking we should be doing better than India (the D+ variant should ease off more quickly), but I was wrong. Let's see how the country will fare again with Omicron then we'll be clear to see, whether this fight against the odds can improve or not.

Neither.. these mRNA can't be effective because more variants are always evolving..Worse is when immune compromised individuals such as the elderly get no response from such vaccines!The limelight should be on the protein based vaccine instead where it can trigger better immune responses to fight the virus..Hope this protein-based get approved in Singapore soon: $Novavax(NVAX)$
