But it's now a memory handing out an expensive lesson as it increasingly falls apart versus the S&P 500.</p>\n<p>A more than monthlong slide in meme stocks erased all aggregate gains by pounding online Reddit traders' favorites, like <b>AMC Entertainment</b>(AMC),<b>GameStop</b>(GME),<b>Peloton Interactive</b>(PTON) and the direct player <b>Robinhood Markets</b>(HOOD). Those are among the hardest hit, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSmith. The analysis looks at the 25 most-popular stocks with meme traders plus those most highly shorted compiled by Solactive for the new Solactive Roundhill Meme Stock ETF.</p>\n<p><b>Game Over For Meme Stocks</b></p>\n<p>But now the selling has completely wiped out the aggregate gains from the entire phenomenon this year. And it continued on Monday. Former meme darling GameStop (GME), which kicked off the Reddit trading rage, dropped more than 13% Monday on concerns of the company's future.</p>\n<p>These 25 stocks, on average, are down 27% in just a month. And that adds up to a painful $80 billion loss on them in just four weeks. In comparison, the S&P 500 has been under pressure, too, but it's up in a month. It's the first time many of the speculators playing these risky stocks, many with no fundamentals, have seen losses.</p>\n<p>\"We have many investors who don't have real depth and experience in the markets right now and, using the analogy of going to a casino, the worst thing that can happen is that the first time you go, you win big,\" said Eben Burr, president of $2.2 billion in assets advisory Toews. \"Then you keep going back and may get reckless — you're not as skilled as you believe and the house eventually wins. Meme stocks have to be seen as a very speculative move.\"</p>\n<p><b>Assessing Brutal Meme Stock Damage</b></p>\n<p>Meme stock pain is reaching levels their fans haven't seen before.</p>\n<p>A custom market-cap weighted index of the 25 stocks topped out on Jan. 27. And since then it has collapsed more than 22%. Much of that pain has happened in just the last four weeks, with the index dropping roughly 20% in that time.</p>\n<p>Some of the individual stocks have done much more poorly.Robinhood is among the worst of them all, plunging 44% in just a month. That loss alone cost investors more than $13 billion in just a month.</p>\n<p>GameStop, too, is gobbling up speculators' quarters fast. The original meme stoc kis down 32% in a month, sucking more than $4.8 billion out of investors' portfolios. And it lost more than half its value from the meme stock high.</p>\n<p><b>What's Next For Meme Stocks Vs. The S&P 500?</b></p>\n<p>Fans of meme stocks might point out they're still up for the year. That's true. But they're lagging the S&P 500 now.</p>\n<p>Take theater chain AMC Entertainment. It's still up huge for the year and it's even up 16% from the meme peak. But in just one month shares are down more than 40% to 23.17. That's much worse than the S&P 500's 0.2% rise in that time.</p>\n<p>And that's the point. Meme stocks are now lagging the market, even if you include gains from the start of the year. The index of the 25 meme stocks is now flat for the year. Had you just bought the S&P 500, you'd be up much more than that — 25%. And that doesn't even include the S&P 500's 1.4% dividend yield. Investors generally do much better by following sound investing rules.</p>\n<p>Now that's a tough lesson to take.</p>\n<p><b>Meme Stocks Are Crashing</b></p>\n<p><i>All but one of the 25 top meme stocks dropped in the past month</i></p>\n<table>\n <thead>\n <tr>\n <th>Company</th>\n <th>Symbol</th>\n <th>1-mo. % ch.</th>\n <th>Market value change one month ($ millions)</th>\n </tr>\n </thead>\n <tbody>\n <tr>\n <td>Marathon Digital</td>\n <td>(MARA)</td>\n <td>-51.2%</td>\n <td>-$3,977.8</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Riot Blockchain</td>\n <td>(RIOT)</td>\n <td>-44.9%</td>\n <td>-$1,400.1</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Robinhood Markets</td>\n <td>(HOOD)</td>\n <td>-44.2%</td>\n <td>-$13,376.8</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Upstart Holdings</td>\n <td>(UPST)</td>\n <td>-42.7%</td>\n <td>-$9,252.6</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>AMC Entertainment</td>\n <td>(AMC)</td>\n <td>-42.1%</td>\n <td>-$8,649.3</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Clover Health Investments</td>\n <td>(CLOV)</td>\n <td>-40.7%</td>\n <td>-$1,004.3</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Sundial Growers</td>\n <td>(SNDL)</td>\n <td>-37.8%</td>\n <td>-$714.9</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>ContextLogic</td>\n <td>(WISH)</td>\n <td>-36.7%</td>\n <td>-$1,275.6</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>SoFi Technologies</td>\n <td>(SOFI)</td>\n <td>-35.8%</td>\n <td>-$6,548.0</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Tilray</td>\n <td>(TLRY)</td>\n <td>-35.6%</td>\n <td>-$2,039.9</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Cassava Sciences</td>\n <td>(SAVA)</td>\n <td>-34.8%</td>\n <td>-$957.5</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>GameStop</td>\n <td>(GME)</td>\n <td>-32.1%</td>\n <td>-$4,860.4</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>fuboTV</td>\n <td>(FUBO)</td>\n <td>-30.0%</td>\n <td>-$1,062.8</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>DraftKings</td>\n <td>(DKNG)</td>\n <td>-28.4%</td>\n <td>-$4,680.3</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Best Buy</td>\n <td>(BBY)</td>\n <td>-25.8%</td>\n <td>-$9,152.5</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Beyond Meat</td>\n <td>(BYND)</td>\n <td>-25.3%</td>\n <td>-$1,363.2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Virgin Galactic</td>\n <td>(SPCE)</td>\n <td>-22.7%</td>\n <td>-$1,126.2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Penn National Gaming</td>\n <td>(PENN)</td>\n <td>-17.9%</td>\n <td>-$1,766.1</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Rush Street Interactive</td>\n <td>(RSI)</td>\n <td>-17.0%</td>\n <td>-$199.1</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Peloton Interactive</td>\n <td>(PTON)</td>\n <td>-16.7%</td>\n <td>-$1,370.1</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Lucid Group</td>\n <td>(LCID)</td>\n <td>-10.4%</td>\n <td>-$6,302.4</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Cleveland-Cliffs</td>\n <td>(CLF)</td>\n <td>-9.5%</td>\n <td>-$1,055.2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Digital World Acquisition</td>\n <td>(DWAC)</td>\n <td>-7.2%</td>\n <td>-$171.7</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>ZIM Integrated Shipping</td>\n <td>(ZIM)</td>\n <td>-0.2%</td>\n <td>-$9.5</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Roblox</td>\n <td>(RBLX)</td>\n <td>3.7%</td>\n <td>$2,303.8</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust</td>\n <td>(SPY)</td>\n <td>0.2%</td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Sources: IBD, S&P Global Market Intelligence</p>","source":"lsy1610612141385","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Meme stocks have to be seen as a very speculative move.\"\nAssessing Brutal Meme Stock Damage\nMeme stock pain is reaching levels their fans haven't seen before.\nA custom market-cap weighted index of the 25 stocks topped out on Jan. 27. And since then it has collapsed more than 22%. Much of that pain has happened in just the last four weeks, with the index dropping roughly 20% in that time.\nSome of the individual stocks have done much more poorly.Robinhood is among the worst of them all, plunging 44% in just a month. That loss alone cost investors more than $13 billion in just a month.\nGameStop, too, is gobbling up speculators' quarters fast. The original meme stoc kis down 32% in a month, sucking more than $4.8 billion out of investors' portfolios. And it lost more than half its value from the meme stock high.\nWhat's Next For Meme Stocks Vs. The S&P 500?\nFans of meme stocks might point out they're still up for the year. That's true. But they're lagging the S&P 500 now.\nTake theater chain AMC Entertainment. It's still up huge for the year and it's even up 16% from the meme peak. But in just one month shares are down more than 40% to 23.17. That's much worse than the S&P 500's 0.2% rise in that time.\nAnd that's the point. Investors generally do much better by following sound investing rules.\nNow that's a tough lesson to take.\nMeme Stocks Are Crashing\nAll but one of the 25 top meme stocks dropped in the past month\n\n\n\nCompany\nSymbol\n1-mo. % ch.\nMarket value change one month ($ millions)\n\n\n\n\nMarathon Digital\n(MARA)\n-51.2%\n-$3,977.8\n\n\nRiot Blockchain\n(RIOT)\n-44.9%\n-$1,400.1\n\n\nRobinhood Markets\n(HOOD)\n-44.2%\n-$13,376.8\n\n\nUpstart Holdings\n(UPST)\n-42.7%\n-$9,252.6\n\n\nAMC Entertainment\n(AMC)\n-42.1%\n-$8,649.3\n\n\nClover Health Investments\n(CLOV)\n-40.7%\n-$1,004.3\n\n\nSundial Growers\n(SNDL)\n-37.8%\n-$714.9\n\n\nContextLogic\n(WISH)\n-36.7%\n-$1,275.6\n\n\nSoFi Technologies\n(SOFI)\n-35.8%\n-$6,548.0\n\n\nTilray\n(TLRY)\n-35.6%\n-$2,039.9\n\n\nCassava Sciences\n(SAVA)\n-34.8%\n-$957.5\n\n\nGameStop\n(GME)\n-32.1%\n-$4,860.4\n\n\nfuboTV\n(FUBO)\n-30.0%\n-$1,062.8\n\n\nDraftKings\n(DKNG)\n-28.4%\n-$4,680.3\n\n\nBest Buy\n(BBY)\n-25.8%\n-$9,152.5\n\n\nBeyond Meat\n(BYND)\n-25.3%\n-$1,363.2\n\n\nVirgin Galactic\n(SPCE)\n-22.7%\n-$1,126.2\n\n\nPenn National Gaming\n(PENN)\n-17.9%\n-$1,766.1\n\n\nRush Street Interactive\n(RSI)\n-17.0%\n-$199.1\n\n\nPeloton Interactive\n(PTON)\n-16.7%\n-$1,370.1\n\n\nLucid Group\n(LCID)\n-10.4%\n-$6,302.4\n\n\nCleveland-Cliffs\n(CLF)\n-9.5%\n-$1,055.2\n\n\nDigital World Acquisition\n(DWAC)\n-7.2%\n-$171.7\n\n\nZIM Integrated Shipping\n(ZIM)\n-0.2%\n-$9.5\n\n\nRoblox\n(RBLX)\n3.7%\n$2,303.8\n\n\nSPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust\n(SPY)\n0.2%\n\n\n\nSources: IBD, S&P Global Market Intelligence","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":980,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":607935728,"gmtCreate":1639471888161,"gmtModify":1639471888219,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool beans","listText":"Cool beans","text":"Cool beans","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/607935728","repostId":"1139239714","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":922,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":604063548,"gmtCreate":1639282497835,"gmtModify":1639282499653,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/604063548","repostId":"1103250344","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1103250344","pubTimestamp":1639280672,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1103250344?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-12 11:44","market":"hk","language":"en","title":"US IPO Week Ahead: IoT solutions, wine, and satellites in a 3 IPO week","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1103250344","media":"renaissancecap...","summary":"The IPO market is expected to stay relatively quiet in the week ahead with three IPOs scheduled to r","content":"<p>The IPO market is expected to stay relatively quiet in the week ahead with three IPOs scheduled to raise $789 million.</p>\n<p>IoT solutions developer<b>Samsara</b>(IOT) plans to raise $753 million at an $11.6 billion market cap. Kulkarni said these ideas \"have a very low likelihood of occurrence, but we wouldn't assign a zero probability\" chance of then happening.\nThe \"HILP\" predictions Kulkarni has for 2022 include \"consumers [will] return to brick and mortar stores and millennials and Gen Z start watching TV.\" Kulkarni said this could result from Covid-19 vaccinations reaching mass-population levels and reaching an end to the pandemic.\nKulkarni said Facebook's(NASDAQ:FB)Meta could launch its own cryptocurrency that could start displacing several traditional fiat currencies, and that mega cap tech companies will manage to not pay any fines to U.S. or European regulators regarding legal cases currently in the works.\n\"We have stopped counting the number of lawsuits facing Big Tech,\" Kulkarni said. \"However, there is fairly limited consensus in the ideas or bills presented to date, and Congress has been focused on the pandemic and infrastructure bill for 2021.\n\nKulkarni's other Black Swan predictions are:\nSPAC IPOs will outperform traditional IPOs and direct stock listings.\nUber(NYSE:UBER)launches its own robotaxi service in several U.S. cities.\nTwitter(NYSE:TWTR)and Pinterest(NYSE:PINS)are acquired and are no longer independent public companies.\nDoorDash(NYSE:DASH)acquires Instacart for between $40B-50B and spurs a new round of grocery delivery wars.\nApple(NASDAQ:AAPL)reaches $10B in annual revenue run rate from advertising due to changes in its iOS ad policies.\nGoogle's(NASDAQ:GOOG)YouTube get in position to go public.\nSnap(NYSE:SNAP)and TikTok (BDNCE) look to capitalize on their younger audiences by acquiring movie or gaming studios so they can boost their original video content offerings.\nAs a \"bonus\" prediction, Kulkarni forecasts that as the pandemic ends, more people will go back to working out at gyms and neighborhood parks, and this will result in difficulty in forecasting sales for the likes of Peloton(NASDAQ:PTON). The home-exercise technology company also had its sails trimmed on Thursday when analysts at Citi cut their price target on Peloton's (PTON) stock to $38 a share on expectations of higher expenses and falling demand for Peloton (PTON) products next year.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1141,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":696215705,"gmtCreate":1640702139714,"gmtModify":1640702139810,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Swee","listText":"Swee","text":"Swee","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/696215705","repostId":"1121218775","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":903,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":604063548,"gmtCreate":1639282497835,"gmtModify":1639282499653,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cool","listText":"Cool","text":"Cool","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/604063548","repostId":"1103250344","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":437,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698169483,"gmtCreate":1640319318250,"gmtModify":1640319791594,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"This is great news","listText":"This is great news","text":"This is great news","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698169483","repostId":"2193078140","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2193078140","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1640299360,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2193078140?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-24 06:42","market":"us","language":"en","title":"S&P 500 hits record close as Omicron fears ebb","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2193078140","media":"Reuters","summary":"* Major indexes climb for 3rd straight session\n* Merck's at-home COVID-19 pill gets U.S. approval\n* ","content":"<p>* Major indexes climb for 3rd straight session</p>\n<p>* Merck's at-home COVID-19 pill gets U.S. approval</p>\n<p>* Weekly jobless claims unchanged at 205,000</p>\n<p>* Consumer spending increases 0.6% in November</p>\n<p>* Indexes up: Dow 0.55%, S&P 0.62%, Nasdaq 0.85%</p>\n<p>Dec 23 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes posted solid gains for a third straight session on Thursday, with the S&P 500 marking a record-high close, as encouraging developments gave investors more ease about the economic impact of the Omicron coronavirus variant.</p>\n<p>Stocks ended the holiday-shortened week on a positive note, lifting sentiment heading into Christmas. The stock market will be closed on Friday in observance of the Christmas holiday.\nIn another medical development against the pandemic, the United States authorized Merck & Co's antiviral pill for COVID-19 for certain high-risk adult patients, a day after giving a broader go-ahead to a similar but more effective treatment from Pfizer Inc. Merck shares fell 0.6%, while Pfizer dropped 1.4%.\nThe number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits held below pre-pandemic levels last week as the labor market tightens, while consumer spending increased solidly, putting the economy on track for a strong finish to 2021.\nTesla Inc shares rose 5.8%, gaining sharply for a second day after Chief Executive Elon Musk said on Wednesday he was \"almost done\" with his stock sales after selling over $15 billion worth since early November.\nThe S&P 500 is up about 26% so far this year. Still, the environment for equities could be changing heading into next year as the Federal Reserve is expected to begin raising interest rates in 2022.\nAdvancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 2.40-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 2.22-to-1 ratio favored advancers.\nThe S&P 500 posted 35 new 52-week highs and no new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 62 new highs and 80 new lows.\nAbout 8 billion shares changed hands in U.S. exchanges, compared with the 11.8 billion daily average over the last 20 sessions.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1030,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":691107534,"gmtCreate":1640143583675,"gmtModify":1640143583675,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"This is wild! Netflix’s two rivals are also expected to join a heated bidding fray next year for rights to show the hugely popular Indian Premier League T-20 cricket tournament.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":922,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":607934082,"gmtCreate":1639471909927,"gmtModify":1639471909927,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Oh no","listText":"Oh no","text":"Oh no","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/607934082","repostId":"1103369346","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":980,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698163330,"gmtCreate":1640319356563,"gmtModify":1640319791857,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"That's cool! NKLA stock is up nearly 20% today as the company promises “more to come” in 2022.</p>\n<p>How exactly is Nikola moving forward?</p>\n<p>Well, in a tweet Wednesday, Nikola posted a series of images of its recent delivery event at the Port of Los Angeles. The delivery marks a new phase for the company, hopefully one lacking the controversy that defined this year. The electric truck company is looking to build some positive momentum heading into the new year. And at a glance, investors are all for it.</p>\n<p>So, what else do you need to know about the electric truck company and NKLA stock?</p>\n<p>NKLA Stock Eyes 2022 Rebound After a Rollercoaster Year</p>\n<p>Nikola has had a series of PR wins as of late. Just days ago, Nikola publicly agreed to a $125 million settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).</p>\n<p>Indeed, Nikola was the subject of a fraud investigation brought on by founder and former Executive Chairman Trevor Milton. Milton was arrested this summer for making false claims about his company’s technological capabilities. Investors may remember the viral video showing off what appears to be an operable Nikola prototype. However, in reality, the truck was simply rolling down an incline. Milton earned billions in investments under false pretenses. In fact, <b>General Motors</b>(NYSE:<b><u>GM</u></b>) even took a$2 billion stake in the untested company.</p>\n<p>While paying a massive fine is rarely seen as a victory, NKLA’s viability depends on its ability to move on. Nikola’s recent delivery of its Tre battery electric vehicle (BEV) only adds to the narrative that this is a fresh chapter. NKLA stock is up nearly 20% today as the company promises “more to come” in 2022.\nHow exactly is Nikola moving forward?\nWell, in a tweet Wednesday, Nikola posted a series of images of its recent delivery event at the Port of Los Angeles. The delivery marks a new phase for the company, hopefully one lacking the controversy that defined this year. The electric truck company is looking to build some positive momentum heading into the new year. And at a glance, investors are all for it.\nSo, what else do you need to know about the electric truck company and NKLA stock?\nNKLA Stock Eyes 2022 Rebound After a Rollercoaster Year\nNikola has had a series of PR wins as of late. Just days ago, Nikola publicly agreed to a $125 million settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).\nIndeed, Nikola was the subject of a fraud investigation brought on by founder and former Executive Chairman Trevor Milton. Milton was arrested this summer for making false claims about his company’s technological capabilities. Investors may remember the viral video showing off what appears to be an operable Nikola prototype. However, in reality, the truck was simply rolling down an incline. Milton earned billions in investments under false pretenses. In fact, General Motors(NYSE:GM) even took a$2 billion stake in the untested company.\nWhile paying a massive fine is rarely seen as a victory, NKLA’s viability depends on its ability to move on. Nikola’s recent delivery of its Tre battery electric vehicle (BEV) only adds to the narrative that this is a fresh chapter. The delivery marks the first of 100 planned BEV semi-trucks that Total Transportation Services intend to acquire over the next few years. It’s a positive sign for Nikola, and one that may convince some that the EV company isn’t just talking after all.\nProspects look good for the first time in a while for the electric truck maker. Time will tell if today’s jump is a blip on the map, or the beginning of a resurgence for NKLA stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1374,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":699999260,"gmtCreate":1639732232868,"gmtModify":1639732857758,"author":{"id":"4101651658418430","authorId":"4101651658418430","name":"NineBreaker","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a831e32e3add158245362174c207af18","crmLevel":1,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"4101651658418430","authorIdStr":"4101651658418430"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"So much info zzz","listText":"So much info zzz","text":"So much info zzz","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/699999260","repostId":"1190449344","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1190449344","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1639727897,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1190449344?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-17 15:58","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla,Nvidia And Apple Are Seeing The Highest Interest On WallStreetBets in the past 24 hours","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1190449344","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Exchange-traded fund SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust is seeing the highest interest on the forum with 695 mentions in the past 24 hours, followed by Tesla with 319 mentions.Nvidia and Apple are in the third and fourth positions, having attracted 275 and 222 mentions, respectively.Musk sold another 934,091 shares for $884.1 million on Thursday to pay for taxes on the exercise of stock options at a price of $6.24 to buy 2.2 million shares in Tesla, according to U.S. securities filings.Musk has sold about 1","content":"<p>Exchange-traded fund <b>SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust</b>(NYSE:SPY) is seeing the highest interest on the forum with 695 mentions in the past 24 hours, followed by Tesla with 319 mentions.</p>\n<p>Nvidia and Apple are in the third and fourth positions, having attracted 275 and 222 mentions, respectively.<img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/329d655dad3c4ed7e1e96a9a39cf19c0\" tg-width=\"937\" tg-height=\"541\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/08cba58058c383f2a39eaafec295eb49\" tg-width=\"938\" tg-height=\"423\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\">Musk sold another 934,091 shares for $884.1 million on Thursday to pay for taxes on the exercise of stock options at a price of $6.24 to buy 2.2 million shares in Tesla, according to U.S. securities filings.</p>\n<p>Musk has sold about 12900512 Tesla shares since November 8, accounting for 75.66% of his previously committed shares.</p>\n<p>While Apple Inc. is hiring engineers for a new office in Southern California to develop wireless chips that could eventually replace components supplied by Broadcom Inc. and Skyworks Solutions Inc.</p>\n<p>Shares of Nvidia dropped 7%, while Apple shares slid 4%.
