Fool","summary":"Costly data breaches are on the rise, and effective cybersecurity is more critical than ever.","content":"
Cybercrime has become a serious problem. In 2018, special agent Elvis Chan of the FBI told The Wall Street Journal, \"Every American person should assume all of their data is [on the dark web].\" Unfortunately, the situation is actually getting worse as the proliferation of connected devices, cloud computing, and remote work has introduced new vulnerabilities.
\n
To that end, ransomware will target a new victim every five seconds in 2021, and the total damage inflicted by cybercrime will hit $6 trillion, according to Cybersecurity Ventures. Even worse, that figure is expected to grow at 15% per year to reach $10.5 trillion by 2025. Not surprisingly, organizations around the globe are looking to bolster their defenses, and CrowdStrike Holdings (NASDAQ:CRWD) and Zscaler (NASDAQ:ZS) have the software and the services that can help. As such, they are well-positioned to benefit from the increased need for cybersecurity. Here's what you should know about these two potential monster stocks.
\n
1. CrowdStrike Holdings
\n
CrowdStrike specializes in endpoint protection. Its platform leans on artificial intelligence to predict and prevent cyberattacks, helping clients secure their devices, applications, and cloud services. Moreover, CrowdStrike's portfolio comprises 21 software-as-a-service products that address a number of industry verticals, from managed security and threat intelligence to identity protection and log management.
\n
On that note, CrowdStrike has been named an industry leader by several analysts and independent testing companies, including Forrester Research, Gartner, SE Labs, and the International Data Corp. And that recognition has come alongside strong demand and impressive financial results.
\n
Crowdstrike reached 14,687 customers in the third quarter, up 75% from the prior year. And its revenue retention rate came in above 120% for the 15th consecutive quarter, meaning customers are spending more over time. As a result, revenue surged 69% to $1.3 billion over the last 12 months, and free cash flow rose 67% to $411 million.
\n
Going forward, industry tailwinds and product innovation should help CrowdStrike maintain that momentum. Specifically, its new Extended Detection and Response (XDR) module paves the way for further market share gains. The product unifies security data from devices, networks, cloud infrastructure, and email systems on a single platform, accelerating threat detection and investigation. It also integrates with another recently launched product, Falcon Fusion, a framework that allows security teams to automate complex workflows.
\n
Management puts its market opportunity at $55 billion in 2022, but that figure is expected to double by 2025. That's why this cybersecurity stock looks like a smart buy right now.
\n
2. Zscaler
\n
Traditionally, businesses have secured resources by building firewalls around the corporate network. However, cloud computing and remote work have made that approach ineffective because many resources now exist outside that boundary. Zscaler's security cloud solves that problem, replacing traditional corporate networking solutions with its own zero-trust platform known as a secure access service edge (SASE).
\n
In doing so, Zscaler accelerates and secures applications and data, allowing employees to connect to corporate resources from any device or location safely. Notably, Gartner has recognized Zscaler as the industry leader for 10 consecutive years. Gartner analysts believe that 60% of enterprises will have plans in place to adopt SASE services by 2026, up from just 10% in 2020.
\n
In other words, Zscaler has a dominant position in a quickly growing industry. Not surprisingly, its financial performance has been impressive. Over the past year, the company has kept its retention rate above 125%, evidencing the stickiness of its platform. In turn, revenue rose 58% to $761 million, and free cash flow skyrocketed 207% to $185 million. But Zscaler is just getting started.
\n
In the years ahead, digital transformation should be a significant tailwind for the company. As businesses lean into trends like cloud computing, software-as-a-service, and remote work, providing employees with fast, secure connectivity will become more critical. In 2018, special agent Elvis Chan of the FBI told The Wall Street Journal, \"Every American person should assume all of their data is [on the dark web].\" Unfortunately, the situation is actually getting worse as the proliferation of connected devices, cloud computing, and remote work has introduced new vulnerabilities.\nTo that end, ransomware will target a new victim every five seconds in 2021, and the total damage inflicted by cybercrime will hit $6 trillion, according to Cybersecurity Ventures. Here's what you should know about these two potential monster stocks.\n1. CrowdStrike Holdings\nCrowdStrike specializes in endpoint protection. Its platform leans on artificial intelligence to predict and prevent cyberattacks, helping clients secure their devices, applications, and cloud services. Moreover, CrowdStrike's portfolio comprises 21 software-as-a-service products that address a number of industry verticals, from managed security and threat intelligence to identity protection and log management.\nOn that note, CrowdStrike has been named an industry leader by several analysts and independent testing companies, including Forrester Research, Gartner, SE Labs, and the International Data Corp. And that recognition has come alongside strong demand and impressive financial results.\nCrowdstrike reached 14,687 customers in the third quarter, up 75% from the prior year. And its revenue retention rate came in above 120% for the 15th consecutive quarter, meaning customers are spending more over time. As a result, revenue surged 69% to $1.3 billion over the last 12 months, and free cash flow rose 67% to $411 million.\nGoing forward, industry tailwinds and product innovation should help CrowdStrike maintain that momentum. Specifically, its new Extended Detection and Response (XDR) module paves the way for further market share gains. The product unifies security data from devices, networks, cloud infrastructure, and email systems on a single platform, accelerating threat detection and investigation. It also integrates with another recently launched product, Falcon Fusion, a framework that allows security teams to automate complex workflows.\nManagement puts its market opportunity at $55 billion in 2022, but that figure is expected to double by 2025. That's why this cybersecurity stock looks like a smart buy right now.\n2. Zscaler\nTraditionally, businesses have secured resources by building firewalls around the corporate network. However, cloud computing and remote work have made that approach ineffective because many resources now exist outside that boundary. Zscaler's security cloud solves that problem, replacing traditional corporate networking solutions with its own zero-trust platform known as a secure access service edge (SASE).\nIn doing so, Zscaler accelerates and secures applications and data, allowing employees to connect to corporate resources from any device or location safely. Notably, Gartner has recognized Zscaler as the industry leader for 10 consecutive years. Gartner analysts believe that 60% of enterprises will have plans in place to adopt SASE services by 2026, up from just 10% in 2020.\nIn other words, Zscaler has a dominant position in a quickly growing industry. Not surprisingly, its financial performance has been impressive. Over the past year, the company has kept its retention rate above 125%, evidencing the stickiness of its platform. In turn, revenue rose 58% to $761 million, and free cash flow skyrocketed 207% to $185 million. But Zscaler is just getting started.\nIn the years ahead, digital transformation should be a significant tailwind for the company. As businesses lean into trends like cloud computing, software-as-a-service, and remote work, providing employees with fast, secure connectivity will become more critical. To that end, Zscaler puts its market opportunity at $72 billion. That's why this stock looks like a smart long-term investment.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":799,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":690566326,"gmtCreate":1639694259663,"gmtModify":1639694260919,"author":{"id":"4098782865580760","authorId":"4098782865580760","name":"novben7","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a57c77ef348d976dee939fab065fb41a","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4098782865580760","idStr":"4098782865580760"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow. 10x","listText":"Wow. 10x","text":"Wow. 10x","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/690566326","repostId":"2191910948","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2191910948","pubTimestamp":1639657328,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2191910948?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-16 20:22","market":"us","language":"en","title":"2 Cheap Stocks With 10X Potential to Buy in 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2191910948","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These two companies have massive growth opportunities and have declined sharply in recent months.","content":"
You've probably noticed that stock market volatility has picked up recently. That's especially true if you're invested in highly valued growth stocks, many of which have declined by 30%, 50%, or even more from their all-time highs.
\n
While nobody enjoys watching the value of their investments go down, periods of volatility like this one can create opportunities to get into long-term winners at a discount. Here are two, in particular, that have 10X growth potential (or possibly much more) that are at the top of my watch list as we head toward 2022.
\n
This healthcare innovator has unlimited applications for its data
\n
Most people know 23andMe (NASDAQ:ME) for its home genetic-testing kits. While this is certainly the most consumer-facing side of the business, there's a lot more to the company than that.
\n
Specifically, the data that its core genetic-testing business provides makes the company so interesting. 23andMe has a data library from nearly 12 million genotyped individuals. The next closest competitor has less than one-tenth of that.
\n
This data could be leveraged to develop therapeutics, and 23andMe is doing exactly that with a 50/50 partnership with pharmaceutical-heavyweight GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK). Even one successful therapeutic could be worth billions, and the company has a promising development pipeline already.
\n
In addition, 23andMe is still in the early stages of building out personalized healthcare products. And 75% of consumers say that they wish their healthcare experience was more personalized, so there's a massive opportunity to disrupt the industry over time. Thanks to the recent market decline, investors can buy shares for about 25% less than SPAC investors like Richard Branson paid earlier this year.
\n
Could this real estate disruptor change the way we buy and sell houses?
\n
Offerpad (NYSE:OPAD) is an iBuyer. If you aren't familiar, an iBuyer (or instant buyer) is a company that buys homes directly from sellers. The general idea is that by doing so, it removes most consumer pain points from the home-selling process.
\n
For example, when you sell to an iBuyer, you won't have to find a real estate agent, allow countless showings, stage your home, make cosmetic repairs, etc. And perhaps most importantly, you can control the timeline. iBuyers can close homes in as little as three days from making an all-cash offer or can wait months, if that's what the seller needs.
\n
Offerpad is one of three companies that engage in iBuying on a large scale (the other two are Opendoor and Redfin, and although it isn't the biggest, it's found the best balance between growth and efficiency. Its unit economics -- the profit margin per home -- are the best in the industry.
\n
The concept of iBuying is still pretty new, with less than 1% of all home sales in the U.S., but this is a multitrillion-dollar market. If Offerpad can grow its volume to several times the current level and do so profitably, it could easily grow 10X from here.
\n
Expect a roller-coaster ride
\n
As a final thought, it's important to emphasize that no stock with a 10X return potential is likely to be a smooth ride, and these two aren't exceptions. Even the now-huge tech behemoths like Amazon and Apple fell by more than 50% from their highs several times on the way to where they are today. Although both of these are down significantly in recent months, if market volatility continues, they could fall further.
\n
Having said that, I own both of these in my own stock portfolio for one simple reason -- they have huge growth opportunities, and I feel the risk/reward dynamic makes a lot of sense.
To that end, Zscaler puts its market opportunity at $72 billion. That's why this stock looks like a smart long-term investment.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Want to Get Richer? 2 Monster Growth Stocks to Buy Now
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWant to Get Richer? 2 Monster Growth Stocks to Buy Now\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-12-17 21:14 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Cybercrime has become a serious problem. First, Lucid's CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson oversaw the development of Tesla's Model S sedan as its chief vehicle engineer from 2009 to 2012.
\n
Second, Lucid's first EV, the Lucid Air sedan, can travel up to 520 miles on a single charge. That beats the maximum range of Tesla's longest-range vehicle, the Model S Long Range, by over 100 miles.
\n
Lastly, Lucid has ambitious goals for the future. It only recently started to ship its first batch of 520 customized Dream Edition Lucid Air sedans, but it plans to produce 20,000 vehicles in 2022 and 500,000 vehicles annually by 2030.
\n
Those strengths explain why the market now values Lucid at nearly $65 billion, even though it generated less than $1 million in revenue last quarter. But could this young EV company eventually grow into its valuation and generate massive multibagger returns over the next decade the way Tesla did?
\n
How Lucid plans to become the \"next Tesla\"
\n
Tesla manufactured 509,737 vehicles in 2020 and 624,582 vehicles in the first three quarters of 2021. It exceeded an annualized production rate of over a million vehicles at the end of the third quarter.
\n
Lucid's new manufacturing plant in Arizona (AMP-1) has an annual production capacity of 34,000 vehicles. It just kicked off its Phase 2 expansion, which will increase its annual capacity to 90,000 vehicles.
\n
Lucid will initially only manufacture Lucid Air sedans. But in the second half of 2023, it plans to launch its Lucid Gravity SUVs.
\n
Lucid also plans to expand overseas, starting with Canada in the fourth quarter of 2021, followed by Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in 2022, and China in 2023. It expects that expansion to boost its annual production capacity past the half-million mark by the end of the decade.
\n
But Lucid doesn't have Tesla's first-mover's advantage
\n
Lucid has already secured more than 17,000 reservations, so its goal of increasing its annual production from 20,000 to 500,000 vehicles in just eight years might seem reasonable relative to Tesla's growth trajectory.
\n
Tesla shipped just 22,477 vehicles back in 2013, but its total shipments hit 499,550 in 2020. However, Tesla also enjoyed a first-mover's advantage in the EV market and benefited from massive government subsidies.
\n
Today, the EV market is much more saturated. In addition to competing against Tesla and other dedicated EV makers like NIO, Lucid will need to fend off traditional automakers like Ford, BMW, and Volkswagen. Apple could also disrupt the EV market within a few years. That saturation will make it tough for latecomers like Lucid and Rivian to replicate Tesla's growth over the past decade.
\n
Tesla also didn't face the threat of unionized workers throughout most of its history. However, the Biden administration's \"Build Back Better\" plan aims to give union-made, domestically built EVs an additional $4,500 tax credit on top of the current tax credit of $7,500 for all EVs.
\n
Workers at Tesla, Lucid, and other EV start-ups aren't unionized. Therefore, the new legislation could make EVs from unionized automakers like Ford and General Motors cheaper and more competitive.
\n
As Lucid faces this changing market, it's selling its vehicles at higher prices than Tesla. In an investor presentation, Lucid claims Tesla's vehicles are \"innovative but not luxury,\" while its own vehicles serve a \"post-luxury\" market that differentiates it from \"established luxury\" brands.
\n
That vague explanation doesn't make much sense, since the Kelley Blue Book still consistently classifies Tesla as a top luxury brand. Lucid might have attracted some attention from high-end EV enthusiasts so far, but it still has a long way to go before becoming an internationally recognized rival to Tesla.
\n
Lucid also plans to rely on third-party charging networks instead of building its own network of Supercharger stations like Tesla. That approach should help it reduce its operating expenses, but it could also represent a missed opportunity to promote its brand and lock more drivers into its ecosystem.
\n
I wouldn't call Lucid the \"next Tesla\" yet
\n
Lucid resembles a smaller version of Tesla, but the stock already trades at about 30 times its goal of generating $2.2 billion in sales in 2022. First, Lucid's CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson oversaw the development of Tesla's Model S sedan as its chief vehicle engineer from 2009 to 2012.\nSecond, Lucid's first EV, the Lucid Air sedan, can travel up to 520 miles on a single charge. That beats the maximum range of Tesla's longest-range vehicle, the Model S Long Range, by over 100 miles.\nLastly, Lucid has ambitious goals for the future. It only recently started to ship its first batch of 520 customized Dream Edition Lucid Air sedans, but it plans to produce 20,000 vehicles in 2022 and 500,000 vehicles annually by 2030.\nThose strengths explain why the market now values Lucid at nearly $65 billion, even though it generated less than $1 million in revenue last quarter. But could this young EV company eventually grow into its valuation and generate massive multibagger returns over the next decade the way Tesla did?\nHow Lucid plans to become the \"next Tesla\"\nTesla manufactured 509,737 vehicles in 2020 and 624,582 vehicles in the first three quarters of 2021. It exceeded an annualized production rate of over a million vehicles at the end of the third quarter.\nLucid's new manufacturing plant in Arizona (AMP-1) has an annual production capacity of 34,000 vehicles. It just kicked off its Phase 2 expansion, which will increase its annual capacity to 90,000 vehicles.\nLucid will initially only manufacture Lucid Air sedans. But in the second half of 2023, it plans to launch its Lucid Gravity SUVs.\nLucid also plans to expand overseas, starting with Canada in the fourth quarter of 2021, followed by Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in 2022, and China in 2023. It expects that expansion to boost its annual production capacity past the half-million mark by the end of the decade.\nBut Lucid doesn't have Tesla's first-mover's advantage\nLucid has already secured more than 17,000 reservations, so its goal of increasing its annual production from 20,000 to 500,000 vehicles in just eight years might seem reasonable relative to Tesla's growth trajectory.\nTesla shipped just 22,477 vehicles back in 2013, but its total shipments hit 499,550 in 2020. However, Tesla also enjoyed a first-mover's advantage in the EV market and benefited from massive government subsidies.\nToday, the EV market is much more saturated. In addition to competing against Tesla and other dedicated EV makers like NIO, Lucid will need to fend off traditional automakers like Ford, BMW, and Volkswagen. Apple could also disrupt the EV market within a few years. That saturation will make it tough for latecomers like Lucid and Rivian to replicate Tesla's growth over the past decade.\nTesla also didn't face the threat of unionized workers throughout most of its history. However, the Biden administration's \"Build Back Better\" plan aims to give union-made, domestically built EVs an additional $4,500 tax credit on top of the current tax credit of $7,500 for all EVs.\nWorkers at Tesla, Lucid, and other EV start-ups aren't unionized. Therefore, the new legislation could make EVs from unionized automakers like Ford and General Motors cheaper and more competitive.\nAs Lucid faces this changing market, it's selling its vehicles at higher prices than Tesla. In an investor presentation, Lucid claims Tesla's vehicles are \"innovative but not luxury,\" while its own vehicles serve a \"post-luxury\" market that differentiates it from \"established luxury\" brands.\nThat vague explanation doesn't make much sense, since the Kelley Blue Book still consistently classifies Tesla as a top luxury brand. Lucid might have attracted some attention from high-end EV enthusiasts so far, but it still has a long way to go before becoming an internationally recognized rival to Tesla.\nLucid also plans to rely on third-party charging networks instead of building its own network of Supercharger stations like Tesla. That approach should help it reduce its operating expenses, but it could also represent a missed opportunity to promote its brand and lock more drivers into its ecosystem.\nI wouldn't call Lucid the \"next Tesla\" yet\nLucid resembles a smaller version of Tesla, but the stock already trades at about 30 times its goal of generating $2.2 billion in sales in 2022. Tesla currently trades at just 14 times next year's sales.\nLucid also faces a lot of near-term challenges, including its staggering losses, a new $1.75 billion convertible debt offering, and a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) subpoena regarding its reverse merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) earlier this year. The ongoing component shortages could also throttle its shipments next year.\nLucid still has lots of growth potential, but I certainly wouldn't call it the next Tesla yet. It will face a lot more competition than Tesla did in its early days, and there's simply too much optimism baked into its high-flying stock.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":633,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":602110781,"gmtCreate":1638980081427,"gmtModify":1638980081499,"author":{"id":"4098782865580760","authorId":"4098782865580760","name":"novben7","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a57c77ef348d976dee939fab065fb41a","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4098782865580760","idStr":"4098782865580760"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"🤞","listText":"🤞","text":"🤞","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/602110781","repostId":"1105454856","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1105454856","pubTimestamp":1638974294,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1105454856?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-08 22:38","market":"us","language":"en","title":"From Lucid To ChargePoint -- 3 Renewable Growth Stocks Worth Buying in 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1105454856","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"A diverse basket of EV and renewable energy stocks built for the long term.","content":"
The Nasdaq sell-off is bringing once high-flying names to their knees.
