In addition, by being one of the most technologically advanced electric vehicle companies in China, XPeng also has all the chances to become one of the first automakers to reach Level 5 automation in the following years. Considering this, we continue to believe that XPeng is a solid growth play and if you're a momentum investor, then now is a good time to purchase its shares.
\n
Firing On All Cylinders
\n
XPeng is one of the biggest EV manufacturers in China. Currently, it produces an SUV that goes under the name G3 and a sedan that's called P7. In addition, the company plans to release an upgraded version of its SUV called G3i in September and a new family-friendly sedan P5 by the end of the year. Overall, XPeng's stock showed decent results in recent months, as it has outperformed the S&P 500 Index for most of the last year, and is currently up ~5% since our latest article about its business was published in June.
\n
Chart: Seeking Alpha
\n
One of the biggest achievements of XPeng is that it has managed to successfully navigate through the initial stages of the chip shortage crisis and made a lot of progress on improving its deliveries. The latestdatasuggests that there's still a strong demand for its offerings among tech-savvy Chinese consumers, as in June alone the company delivered a record 6,565 vehicles, an increase of 617% Y/Y. In addition, its Q2 deliveries were 17,398, up 439% Y/Y, while its 1H deliveries were 30,738 vehicles, up 459% Y/Y. Another good news is that the company's Q2 deliveries beat its projections of 15,500 - 16,000 units despite the pandemic and there's every reason to believe that the momentum is very likely to hold until the end of the year at the very least.
\n
Source:InsideEVs
\n
The biggest advantage of XPeng is that it operates in China, which is considered to be the biggest EV market in the world. Thanks to it, XPeng doesn't need to outsource its manufacturing or sales to other countries as it has a huge local market to sell to back at home. What's more important is that it also has strong governmental support, as some of its manufacturing facilities that are currently being built were co-financed by Chinese local governments. By receiving such help, XPeng is now on track to complete its third manufacturing facility in Wuhan, which will help it to reach an annual capacity of at least 300,000 vehicles. For comparison, Tesla (TSLA) in 2020 sold only 137,000 Model 3s in China. Therefore, an increase of the capacity to such substantial numbers signals that XPeng is ready to tackle the competition and increase its traction across the mainland going forward.
\n
Another important fact is that XPeng is more technologically advanced in China than Tesla and others. Almost half of its R&D workforce works on autonomous driving software, and as a result, the company has managed to develop one of the most advanced navigation systems, which should help it to become one of the first to reach Level 5 automation in the following years. On top of that, over 5 million kilometers were alreadydrivenwith the help of the navigation system since its launch earlier this year, and the latest version of the software can now automaticallyparkthe car in garages without human help if it remembers the spot in which the vehicle was parked before.
\n
Risks
\n
As for the risks, we see a couple of them. First of all, XPengtradesat a price-to-sales ratio of ~16x and could be considered richly valued at its current market cap of around $37 billion. For that reason, it's not a good investment for long-term value shareholders, and for those who don't want to expose their portfolios to Chinese assets.
\n
In addition, there's a risk that the start of the potential China-US trade war could prevent XPeng from accessing the US capital markets, as its current shares could be delisted. To tackle this issue, the company just recentlyraisednearly $2 billion by executing another IPO on the Hong Kong stock exchange with a double main listing structure. This will help the company not only to have an access to the major capital market, but it will also give the Chinese mainland investors the ability to buy the stock through the Hong Kong Stock Connect, which should boost XPeng's valuation in the near future. On top of that, since XPeng's business doesn't have major exposure to outside markets, the blowback from the potential trade war will be minimal.
\n
Takeaway
\n
Despite those risks, we should not forget that China is on track to significantly decrease its carbon footprint in the next four decades. Therefore, it's safe to assume that the penetration rate of electric vehicles on Chinese roads is only going to increase in the following decades. As a result, we believe that there's plenty of room for XPeng to drive growth at this stage, and considering its great performance in Q2, we also believe that it has all the chances to become one of the biggest EV manufacturers in the region.
\n
The latest forecast suggests that XPeng could increase its revenues by 364% from $0.9 million in FY20 to $4.18 billion in FY22, while its EPS loss is also expected todecreasefrom -$0.33 in Q2'21 to only -$0.06 in Q3 and Q4. On top of that, the companyhad$5.12 billion in cash at the end of Q1, only $497 million in long-term debt, and thanks to the recent Honk Kong offering its liquidity position is already around $7 billion. As a result, XPeng doesn't have an overleveraged balance sheet, and thanks to the influx of new cash it's very unlikely that it'll be required to raise new debt or dilute its shareholders by offering new shares to fund its expansion. Therefore, we believe that its stock could be considered a growth play, especially since it has beenaddedto FTSE's indexes recently, which should help it to attract more attention from institutional investors.
\n
With all of this in mind, we also think that right now is a good entry point to purchase the company's shares, as the likely increase in deliveries and capacity along with the launch of the upcoming P5 sedan in the following months could push its stock to higher levels. For that reason, we have no plans to cover our long position in XPeng anytime soon.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
XPeng: Leader Of Chinese Vehicle Electrification Efforts
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nXPeng: Leader Of Chinese Vehicle Electrification Efforts\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-11 09:42 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nThe aggressive growth of deliveries should help XPeng to continue to improve its top-line performance and expand its foothold in the Chinese EV market in the following quarters.\nBy being one ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"XPEV":"小鹏汽车","09868":"小鹏汽车-W"},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4438413-xpeng-leader-of-chinese-vehicle-electrification-efforts","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1184476863","content_text":"Summary\n\nThe aggressive growth of deliveries should help XPeng to continue to improve its top-line performance and expand its foothold in the Chinese EV market in the following quarters.\nBy being one of the most technologically advanced electric vehicle companies in China, XPeng has all the chances to become one of the first automakers to reach Level 5 automation.\nWe continue to believe that XPeng is a solid growth play and if you’re a momentum investor, then now is a good time to purchase its shares.\n\nRobert Way/iStock Editorial via Getty Images\nThe aggressive growth of deliveries should help XPeng (XPEV) to continue to improve its top-line performance and expand its foothold in the Chinese EV market in the following quarters. In addition, by being one of the most technologically advanced electric vehicle companies in China, XPeng also has all the chances to become one of the first automakers to reach Level 5 automation in the following years. Considering this, we continue to believe that XPeng is a solid growth play and if you're a momentum investor, then now is a good time to purchase its shares.\nFiring On All Cylinders\nXPeng is one of the biggest EV manufacturers in China. Currently, it produces an SUV that goes under the name G3 and a sedan that's called P7. In addition, the company plans to release an upgraded version of its SUV called G3i in September and a new family-friendly sedan P5 by the end of the year. Overall, XPeng's stock showed decent results in recent months, as it has outperformed the S&P 500 Index for most of the last year, and is currently up ~5% since our latest article about its business was published in June.\nChart: Seeking Alpha\nOne of the biggest achievements of XPeng is that it has managed to successfully navigate through the initial stages of the chip shortage crisis and made a lot of progress on improving its deliveries. Another good news is that the company's Q2 deliveries beat its projections of 15,500 - 16,000 units despite the pandemic and there's every reason to believe that the momentum is very likely to hold until the end of the year at the very least.\nSource:InsideEVs\nThe biggest advantage of XPeng is that it operates in China, which is considered to be the biggest EV market in the world. Therefore, an increase of the capacity to such substantial numbers signals that XPeng is ready to tackle the competition and increase its traction across the mainland going forward.\nAnother important fact is that XPeng is more technologically advanced in China than Tesla and others. Almost half of its R&D workforce works on autonomous driving software, and as a result, the company has managed to develop one of the most advanced navigation systems, which should help it to become one of the first to reach Level 5 automation in the following years. On top of that, over 5 million kilometers were alreadydrivenwith the help of the navigation system since its launch earlier this year, and the latest version of the software can now automaticallyparkthe car in garages without human help if it remembers the spot in which the vehicle was parked before.\nRisks\nAs for the risks, we see a couple of them. First of all, XPengtradesat a price-to-sales ratio of ~16x and could be considered richly valued at its current market cap of around $37 billion. For that reason, it's not a good investment for long-term value shareholders, and for those who don't want to expose their portfolios to Chinese assets.\nIn addition, there's a risk that the start of the potential China-US trade war could prevent XPeng from accessing the US capital markets, as its current shares could be delisted. To tackle this issue, the company just recentlyraisednearly $2 billion by executing another IPO on the Hong Kong stock exchange with a double main listing structure. On top of that, since XPeng's business doesn't have major exposure to outside markets, the blowback from the potential trade war will be minimal.\nTakeaway\nDespite those risks, we should not forget that China is on track to significantly decrease its carbon footprint in the next four decades. One place to get some investment ideas is Robinhood's 100 most popular stocks list. Here are two popular Robinhood stocks that could crush Dogecoin going forward.
\n
\n
NVIDIA
\n
While Dogecoin has nosedived in recent months, NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock has taken off. One reason why is NVIDIA's upcoming four-for-one stock split. While stock splits don't impact a company's valuation directly, they can attract greater numbers of small investors.
\n
However, there are plenty of even better reasons to like NVIDIA that have nothing to do with its stock split. The most obvious one is the company's gaming business.
\n
Gaming remains NVIDIA's biggest moneymaker, generating $2.8 billion of the company's total revenue of nearly $5.7 billion in the first quarter of 2021. And business is booming. NVIDIA's gaming revenue more than doubled year over year.
\n
It isn't just that gaming is increasing in popularity (although that is the case). NVIDIA benefits from regular hardware upgrade cycles. New games require even more processing power, which drives demand for the more powerful graphics processing units (GPUs).
\n
I especially like that NVIDIA is leveraging its gaming expertise to target new markets. For example, the company recently unveiled Omniverse Enterprise, a platform where design teams can build 3D virtual simulations and collaborate in real-time. In effect, NVIDIA is turning work into play (or vice versa, depending on how you look at it).
\n
NVIDIA CFO Colette Kress said in the company's Q1 conference call, \"As the world becomes more digital, virtual and collaborative, we see a significant revenue opportunity for Omniverse.\" I think that Kress's optimism is well-founded.
\n
Don't overlook NVIDIA's potential in the data center market, though. The company posted data center revenue of more than $2 billion in Q1, up 79% year over year. NVIDIA should enjoy sustained growth as more applications include artificial intelligence (AI).
\n
Assuming NVIDIA's pending acquisition of Arm passes regulatory hurdles, the company should further cement its leadership position in AI. In particular, the Arm deal would boost NVIDIA's presence in the fast-growing Internet of Things market with chips for mobile devices.
\n
Sure, an overall cryptocurrency crash could cause NVIDIA's shares to fall due to the popularity of the company's GPUs with crypto miners. It's happened before. However, the company has taken steps to segment its gaming business from crypto. I think that any pullback would only be temporary. NVIDIA has too many other strong growth drivers.
\n
Moderna
\n
Most companies can't honestly say that they've helped change the world. Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) can.
\n
The biotech's COVID-19 vaccine was second only to the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech to win U.S. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Moderna reported $1.9 billion in sales for the vaccine in Q1, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
\n
Based on supply agreements in place as of early May, Moderna projected that its COVID-19 vaccine would rake in sales this year of $19.2 billion. However, the company has secured additional deals since then.
\n
In just the past two weeks, Moderna has landed two new huge supply agreements. The U.S. government is buying 200 million additional doses of Moderna's COVID19 vaccine. The European Commission agreed to purchase another 150 million doses.
\n
But does Moderna's market cap of close to $90 billion already price all of this growth in? To some extent, yes. However, shares still are trading at only around 10.5 times expected earnings. That's an attractive valuation, especially for a biotech stock.
\n
The big question for Moderna is how strong the recurring revenue from its COVID-19 vaccine will be. While the sales levels of 2021 and 2022 might not be sustainable over the long run, annual vaccinations could be likely (especially with emerging coronavirus variants). I expect Moderna will be able to count on significant COVID-19 vaccine sales for years to come.
\n
Then there's the pipeline. Moderna plans to advance its cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine into late-stage testing this year. It could easily be a megablockbuster if approved. The company has a dozen other programs in clinical testing.
\n
Moderna hopes to use its newfound riches to dramatically boost its pipeline in the near future. CEO Stephane Bancel has stated that he'd like to have up to 50 clinical programs.
\n
All of Moderna's current and planned pipeline programs are based on its messenger RNA (mRNA) technology. The company has maintained for a long time that if its mRNA approach worked for one disease, it would work for many diseases. If Moderna is right, the biotech stock should be a massive winner over the long run -- and could very well crush Dogecoin.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
2 Robinhood Stocks That Could Crush Dogecoin
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n2 Robinhood Stocks That Could Crush Dogecoin\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-29 17:42 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) fans would be quick to point out that the cryptocurrency has skyrocketed more than 4,500% year to date. Moderna reported $1.9 billion in sales for the vaccine in Q1, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.\nBased on supply agreements in place as of early May, Moderna projected that its COVID-19 vaccine would rake in sales this year of $19.2 billion. However, the company has secured additional deals since then.\nIn just the past two weeks, Moderna has landed two new huge supply agreements. The U.S. government is buying 200 million additional doses of Moderna's COVID19 vaccine. The European Commission agreed to purchase another 150 million doses.\nBut does Moderna's market cap of close to $90 billion already price all of this growth in? To some extent, yes. However, shares still are trading at only around 10.5 times expected earnings. That's an attractive valuation, especially for a biotech stock.\nThe big question for Moderna is how strong the recurring revenue from its COVID-19 vaccine will be. While the sales levels of 2021 and 2022 might not be sustainable over the long run, annual vaccinations could be likely (especially with emerging coronavirus variants). I expect Moderna will be able to count on significant COVID-19 vaccine sales for years to come.\nThen there's the pipeline. Moderna plans to advance its cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine into late-stage testing this year. It could easily be a megablockbuster if approved. The company has a dozen other programs in clinical testing.\nModerna hopes to use its newfound riches to dramatically boost its pipeline in the near future. CEO Stephane Bancel has stated that he'd like to have up to 50 clinical programs.\nAll of Moderna's current and planned pipeline programs are based on its messenger RNA (mRNA) technology. The company has maintained for a long time that if its mRNA approach worked for one disease, it would work for many diseases. If Moderna is right, the biotech stock should be a massive winner over the long run -- and could very well crush Dogecoin.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":229,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":128011850,"gmtCreate":1624495129770,"gmtModify":1631891617763,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Vested fell on Friday, with theDow Jones Industrial Averageposting its worst weekly loss since October, as traders worried the Federal Reserve could start raising rates sooner than expected.\nThe blue-chip average dropped 533.37 points, or 1.6%, to 33,290.08. TheS&P 500slid 1.3% to 4,166.45. Both the Dow and S&P 500 hit their session lows in the final minutes of trading and closed around those levels. TheNasdaq Compositeclosed 0.9% lower at 14,030.38. Economic comeback plays led the market losses.\nFor the week, the 30-stock Dow lost 3.5%. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were down by 1.9% and 0.2%, respectively, week to date.\nSt. Louis Federal Reserve President Jim Bullardtold CNBC's \"Squawk Box\"on Friday it was natural for the Fed to tilt a little \"hawkish\" this week and that the first rate increase from the central bank would likely come in 2022. His comments came after the Fed on Wednesday added two rate hikes to its 2023 forecast and increased its inflation projection for the year, putting pressure on stock prices.\n\"The fear held by some investors is that if the Fed tightens policy sooner than expected to help cool inflationary pressures, this could weigh on future economic growth,\" Truist Advisory Services chief market strategist Keith Lerner said in a note. To be sure, he added it would be premature to give up on the so-called value trade right now.\nPockets of the market most sensitive to the economic rebound led the sell-off this week. The S&P 500 energy sector and industrials dropped 5.2% and 3.8%, respectively, for the week. Financials and materials meanwhile, lost more than 6% each. These groups had been market leaders this year on the back of the economic reopening.\nThe decline in stocks came as the Fed's actions caused a drastic flattening of the so-called Treasury yield curve. This means the yields of shorter-duration Treasurys — like the 2-year note — rose while longer-duration yields like the benchmark 10-year declined. The retreat in long-dated bond yields reflects less optimism toward economic growth, while the jump in short-end yields shows the expectations of the Fed raising rates.\nThis phenomenon hurt bank stocks particularly as their earnings could take a hit when the spread between short-term and long-term rates narrows. Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase shares on Friday lost more than 2% each. It may not be a bad idea given the current economic backdrop. While the global economy is coming out of a rough patch caused by the coronavirus contagion, inflation is popping up in a big way in certain areas. And while we don't know what the future holds, it certainly seems as if several growth-first companies have become a bit riskier as investments than they were just a few months back.
\n
With this in mind, here's a rundown of three great all-weather dividend stocks that should be able to push through whatever economic headwind awaits on the horizon. In no particular order...
\n
1. JPMorgan Chase & Co.
\n
Dividend yield: 2.2%
\n
JPMorgan Chase's (NYSE:JPM) current yield of 2.2% is healthy, but it's hardly head-turning. Income-seeking investors could certainly find names with bigger payouts right now.
\n
\n
But there's an important detail that's not evident in the yield alone. That's the rate at which the company raises its dividend. Over the course of the past 10 years, JPMorgan's quarterly payout has improved from $0.25 to $0.90 per share, growing at an annualized clip of 13.7%. That's huge.
\n
Be aware that this diversified banking and finance name trimmed its dividend pretty significantly in the wake of the subprime mortgage meltdown, and could certainly do so again should the company find itself in similar circumstances. After all, about half of its revenue is ultimately linked to interest rates.
\n
Even with inflationary pressures rising, however, a recreation of those unusual underpinnings isn't very likely. Then, interest rates were peeling back from above-average highs, sapping loan margins in addition to piling on costs linked to soured loans. Now, conversely, rates are hovering near record lows and poised to rise in a way that actually makes lending more profitable. A recession curbs the demand for loans, but shouldn't outright kill that demand unless economic weakness turns downright cataclysmic. In the meantime, the other half of JPMorgan's business comes from things like asset management, credit cards, investment banking, and even consumer banking. These businesses are pretty resilient even if they don't exactly thrive in a lethargic environment.
\n
2. Hewlett Packard Enterprise
\n
Dividend yield: 3.1%
\n
Would it surprise you to know that technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) is a dividend stock? Well, it is, and a good one too. Sure, you can find higher yields, but they're not easy to find within the tech sector.
\n
This company is, of course, the business and enterprise-facing half of the 2016 split of what used to just be known as Hewlett Packard, with the other consumer-facing half going its separate way. Then in 2017, Hewlett Packard Enterprise spun off its services business to merge it with Computer Sciences Corp., further narrowing its portfolio.
\n
They've been smart moves. A tighter focus on each organization's core customer has ultimately produced greater success than was being achieved as a bigger, broader outfit.
\n
That's not always been easy to see, granted. Revenue and earnings have been just as apt to fall as to rise since the company as we know it today first took shape. The thing is, even after adjusting for one-off, non-operating expenses, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has never really struggled to make its quarterly dividend payment. The current annualized payout of $0.48 per share is only a fraction of the $1.88 (give or take a few cents) per share the company expects to report on a non-GAAP earnings basis for the current fiscal year.
\n
Hewlett Packard Enterprise may not be a major growth machine, but surprisingly enough, it's evolving into a picture of consistent progress as the cloud computing and edge computing markets mature.
\n
3. The Coca-Cola Company
\n
Dividend yield: 3%
\n
Finally, add Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) to your shortlist of dividend stocks to consider adding to your portfolio.
\n
Like most other consumer-oriented companies, Coca-Cola's been crimped by the coronavirus pandemic. Its challenges were more logistical in their nature than linked to a lack of demand. The ultimate impact is the same though. Last year's top line tumbled 11%, clipping earnings by a similar degree.
\n
Yes, the beverage behemoth will work its way out of the pandemic-prompted slump. As fellow Fool writer Parkev Tatevosian points out, Coca-Cola is apt to gain lost market share as the world reopens for business since consumers are more likely to drink a Coke outside of their home than they are within it.
\n
That's not necessarily the top reason to step into this trade while the yield's at a respectable 3%, however. More compelling is the fact that the noise -- and impact -- of the pandemic obscured the upside of moves that Coca-Cola has been making since 2014, and in a big way since 2017. It may not be a bad idea given the current economic backdrop. While the global economy is coming out of a rough patch caused by the coronavirus contagion, inflation is popping up in a big way in certain areas. And while we don't know what the future holds, it certainly seems as if several growth-first companies have become a bit riskier as investments than they were just a few months back.\nWith this in mind, here's a rundown of three great all-weather dividend stocks that should be able to push through whatever economic headwind awaits on the horizon. In no particular order...\n1. JPMorgan Chase & Co.\nDividend yield: 2.2%\nJPMorgan Chase's (NYSE:JPM) current yield of 2.2% is healthy, but it's hardly head-turning. Income-seeking investors could certainly find names with bigger payouts right now.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nBut there's an important detail that's not evident in the yield alone. That's the rate at which the company raises its dividend. Over the course of the past 10 years, JPMorgan's quarterly payout has improved from $0.25 to $0.90 per share, growing at an annualized clip of 13.7%. That's huge.\nBe aware that this diversified banking and finance name trimmed its dividend pretty significantly in the wake of the subprime mortgage meltdown, and could certainly do so again should the company find itself in similar circumstances. After all, about half of its revenue is ultimately linked to interest rates.\nEven with inflationary pressures rising, however, a recreation of those unusual underpinnings isn't very likely. These businesses are pretty resilient even if they don't exactly thrive in a lethargic environment.\n2. Hewlett Packard Enterprise\nDividend yield: 3.1%\nWould it surprise you to know that technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) is a dividend stock? Well, it is, and a good one too. Sure, you can find higher yields, but they're not easy to find within the tech sector.\nThis company is, of course, the business and enterprise-facing half of the 2016 split of what used to just be known as Hewlett Packard, with the other consumer-facing half going its separate way. Then in 2017, Hewlett Packard Enterprise spun off its services business to merge it with Computer Sciences Corp., further narrowing its portfolio.\nThey've been smart moves. A tighter focus on each organization's core customer has ultimately produced greater success than was being achieved as a bigger, broader outfit.\nThat's not always been easy to see, granted. Revenue and earnings have been just as apt to fall as to rise since the company as we know it today first took shape. The thing is, even after adjusting for one-off, non-operating expenses, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has never really struggled to make its quarterly dividend payment. The current annualized payout of $0.48 per share is only a fraction of the $1.88 (give or take a few cents) per share the company expects to report on a non-GAAP earnings basis for the current fiscal year.\nHewlett Packard Enterprise may not be a major growth machine, but surprisingly enough, it's evolving into a picture of consistent progress as the cloud computing and edge computing markets mature.\n3. The Coca-Cola Company\nDividend yield: 3%\nFinally, add Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) to your shortlist of dividend stocks to consider adding to your portfolio.\nLike most other consumer-oriented companies, Coca-Cola's been crimped by the coronavirus pandemic. Its challenges were more logistical in their nature than linked to a lack of demand. The ultimate impact is the same though. Last year's top line tumbled 11%, clipping earnings by a similar degree.\nYes, the beverage behemoth will work its way out of the pandemic-prompted slump. As fellow Fool writer Parkev Tatevosian points out, Coca-Cola is apt to gain lost market share as the world reopens for business since consumers are more likely to drink a Coke outside of their home than they are within it.\nThat's not necessarily the top reason to step into this trade while the yield's at a respectable 3%, however. More compelling is the fact that the noise -- and impact -- of the pandemic obscured the upside of moves that Coca-Cola has been making since 2014, and in a big way since 2017. Simply put, Coke has been stepping back from the bottling business by selling bottling operations back to franchisees so it can focus more on licensing. This diminishes revenue, but in that franchising and licensing is a (much) higher-margin business, the end result is greater overall profits.\nThis new and improved fiscal profile was just starting to come into view in 2020 when COVID-19 wrecked it. With the end of the pandemic in sight though, investors may be surprised to see just how well-suited Coca-Cola is for funding dividend payments.\nThen, of course, there's the fact that Coke hasn't failed to raise its dividend for 59 consecutive years now, putting it near the very top for longevity honors among all the Dividend Aristocrats.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":488,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":137696721,"gmtCreate":1622341239963,"gmtModify":1631891617784,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Happy holiday!!!","listText":"Happy holiday!!!","text":"Happy holiday!!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/137696721","repostId":"1170854386","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":110,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":137604175,"gmtCreate":1622340820397,"gmtModify":1631884163302,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nike","listText":"Nike","text":"Nike","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/137604175","repostId":"2138011291","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2138011291","pubTimestamp":1622198262,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2138011291?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-05-28 18:37","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Better Buy: Nike vs. Peloton","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2138011291","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"In this battle of prominent consumer-facing businesses, which reigns supreme?","content":"
Nike (NYSE:NKE) and Peloton Interactive (NASDAQ:PTON) are two of the best consumer brands out there. It's not the only company dealing with such issues, which resulted in North American sales falling 10% in the three-month period.
\n
Regardless of these transitory concerns that I'm confident the company will figure out, Nike continues to benefit from some key developments.
\n
First, Nike is a leader in its ability to use technology as a way to attract and engage consumers. Digital sales increased 59% in the third quarter, and this channel now accounts for 35% of overall revenue. The business is well on its way to achieving its long-term target of a 50% digital mix.
\n
Bolstering its technological capabilities is the popular SNKRS app, where Nike, now utilizing live-streaming product drops, is seeing four times the engagement of monthly active users compared to last year.
\n
\"Nike's brand momentum is as strong as ever and we are driving focused growth against our largest opportunities,\" said CFO Matt Friend. \"We continue to see the value of a more direct, digitally enabled strategy, fueling even greater potential for Nike over the long term.\"
\n
Another aspect of Nike's strength is its huge success in the Greater China segment. This region is the fastest-growing for the company, registering sales gains of 51% in Q3. Like many American consumer brands, expect this area, which currently represents just over one-fifth of Nike's total business, to drive a lot of the growth going forward.
\n
The case for Peloton
\n
Let's first discuss the bad news for Peloton. The company continues to make progress on its own supply chain and delivery issues. Wait times for its flagship Bike are back to pre-pandemic levels of one to three weeks, but Peloton now has to deal with the fallout of Tread and Tread+ safety concerns.
\n
The recall of these two products is estimated to cost the company $165 million in lost revenue in the current quarter, which is now forecast to come in at $915 million. This is a major problem for Peloton, but I ultimately think the company will be better because of it. Management can show fault and admit to customers that they made a mistake, while using this incident as a chance to improve product development and customer service going forward.
\n
In the midst of this adversity, Peloton continues pedaling faster. In the quarter that ended March 31, sales skyrocketed 143% to reach $1.3 billion. Additionally, total connected fitness subscriptions went from 886,000 in the year-ago period to breaching the 2-million mark this quarter. Average monthly workouts were up, and member churn and retention remain at very attractive levels.
\n
The business is still exhibiting remarkable momentum as we start to move past the pandemic, but investors will be interested in how performance looks as consumers feel comfortable going back to gyms again. Time will tell, but with remote work becoming an increasingly popular situation for many people, Peloton stands to gain.
\n
Peloton also looks to replicate its success stateside in the Asia-Pacific region, first entering the Australian market later this year. Initially offering stationary bikes and the digital workout app, the entrance into and potential success of this massive market is a big positive for the company.
\n
Which is the better buy?
\n
In summation, I don't see why both of these stocks can't be nice additions to a balanced portfolio.
\n
Nike offers a solid foundation and bedrock due to its longer operating history, established competitive positioning, and steady growth prospects. Peloton, on the other hand, gives investors exposure to the booming at-home fitness market by owning the leading company in the space.
\n
The recent weakness in Peloton's stock price, down 34% year to date (compared to Nike's 5% fall), is also compelling as an attractive entry point for long-term investors. Chances are, you can't go wrong with whichever stock you choose.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":538,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":167543406,"gmtCreate":1624279391605,"gmtModify":1631884163178,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nike go go go","listText":"Nike go go go","text":"Nike go go go","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167543406","repostId":"1154249454","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":175,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":802230985,"gmtCreate":1627781328347,"gmtModify":1631891617756,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"It will rebound","listText":"It will rebound","text":"It will rebound","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/802230985","repostId":"2155001152","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2155001152","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1627675228,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2155001152?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-31 04:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Wall Street declines with Amazon; S&P 500 posts gains for month","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2155001152","media":"Reuters","summary":"U.S. consumer spending rises in June, inflation increases . What started out as a joke has enabled some to laugh all the way to the bank.
\n
On the other hand, skeptics about Dogecoin would be just as quick to note that it has given up more than 60% of its earlier gains. Anyone who jumped on the Dogecoin late is probably sitting on some hefty losses.
\n
Regardless of what your take is on Dogecoin, what really matters is where you should put your money now.
What started out as a joke has enabled some to laugh all the way to the bank.\nOn the other hand, skeptics about Dogecoin would be just as quick to note that it has given up more than 60% of its earlier gains. Anyone who jumped on the Dogecoin late is probably sitting on some hefty losses.\nRegardless of what your take is on Dogecoin, what really matters is where you should put your money now. One place to get some investment ideas is Robinhood's 100 most popular stocks list. Here are two popular Robinhood stocks that could crush Dogecoin going forward.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nNVIDIA\nWhile Dogecoin has nosedived in recent months, NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock has taken off. One reason why is NVIDIA's upcoming four-for-one stock split. While stock splits don't impact a company's valuation directly, they can attract greater numbers of small investors.\nHowever, there are plenty of even better reasons to like NVIDIA that have nothing to do with its stock split. The most obvious one is the company's gaming business.\nGaming remains NVIDIA's biggest moneymaker, generating $2.8 billion of the company's total revenue of nearly $5.7 billion in the first quarter of 2021. And business is booming. NVIDIA's gaming revenue more than doubled year over year.\nIt isn't just that gaming is increasing in popularity (although that is the case). NVIDIA benefits from regular hardware upgrade cycles. New games require even more processing power, which drives demand for the more powerful graphics processing units (GPUs).\nI especially like that NVIDIA is leveraging its gaming expertise to target new markets. For example, the company recently unveiled Omniverse Enterprise, a platform where design teams can build 3D virtual simulations and collaborate in real-time. In effect, NVIDIA is turning work into play (or vice versa, depending on how you look at it).\nNVIDIA CFO Colette Kress said in the company's Q1 conference call, \"As the world becomes more digital, virtual and collaborative, we see a significant revenue opportunity for Omniverse.\" I think that Kress's optimism is well-founded.\nDon't overlook NVIDIA's potential in the data center market, though. The company posted data center revenue of more than $2 billion in Q1, up 79% year over year. NVIDIA should enjoy sustained growth as more applications include artificial intelligence (AI).\nAssuming NVIDIA's pending acquisition of Arm passes regulatory hurdles, the company should further cement its leadership position in AI. In particular, the Arm deal would boost NVIDIA's presence in the fast-growing Internet of Things market with chips for mobile devices.\nSure, an overall cryptocurrency crash could cause NVIDIA's shares to fall due to the popularity of the company's GPUs with crypto miners. It's happened before. However, the company has taken steps to segment its gaming business from crypto. I think that any pullback would only be temporary. NVIDIA has too many other strong growth drivers.\nModerna\nMost companies can't honestly say that they've helped change the world. Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) can.\nThe biotech's COVID-19 vaccine was second only to the vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech to win U.S. Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). If Moderna is right, the biotech stock should be a massive winner over the long run -- and could very well crush Dogecoin.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":229,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":148822070,"gmtCreate":1625968304590,"gmtModify":1631891617757,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Not Nio?","listText":"Not Nio?","text":"Not Nio?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/148822070","repostId":"1184476863","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":215,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":123611801,"gmtCreate":1624420331403,"gmtModify":1631891617766,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/123611801","repostId":"2145664330","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":311,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":161277038,"gmtCreate":1623932340524,"gmtModify":1631884324399,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hope market goes up tonight","listText":"Hope market goes up tonight","text":"Hope market goes up tonight","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/161277038","repostId":"1185082331","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1185082331","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1623931553,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1185082331?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-17 20:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Toplines Before US Market Open on Thursday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1185082331","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Technology stocks were set to lead Wall Street lower on Thursday after the Federal Reserve signaled ","content":"
Technology stocks were set to lead Wall Street lower on Thursday after the Federal Reserve signaled it could start tapering its massive stimulus earlier than expected, piling pressure on a sector that is seen as vulnerable to higher interest rates.
\n
At 8:05 a.m. ET, Dow E-minis were down 61 points, or 0.18%, S&P 500 E-minis were down 9.5 points, or 0.23% and Nasdaq 100 E-minis fell 52.75 points, or 0.38%.
\n
*Source From Tiger Trade, EST 08:05
\n
Powell said progress toward the Fed's dual employment and inflation goals were happening somewhat faster than expected. Citigroup fell by 1.8%, posting its 12th straight daily decline.\nFed Chairman Jerome Powell said Wednesday that officials have discussed tapering bond buying and would at some point begin slowing the asset purchases.\n\"This week's first whiff of an eventual change in Fed policy was a reminder that emergency monetary conditions and the free-money era will ultimately end,\" strategists at MRB Partners wrote in a note. \"We expect a series of incremental retreats from the Fed's benign inflation outlook in the coming months.\"\nCommodity prices were underpressure this weekas China attempted to cool rising prices and as the U.S. dollar strengthens. Copper, gold and platinum fell once again on Friday.\nFriday also coincided with the quarterly \"quadruple witching\" in which options and futures on indexes and equities expire. This event may have contributed to more volatile trading during the session.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":204,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":165582007,"gmtCreate":1624151635409,"gmtModify":1631891617771,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"How is his track record?","listText":"How is his track record?","text":"How is his track record?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/165582007","repostId":"1113942445","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":229,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169127409,"gmtCreate":1623823075701,"gmtModify":1631891617776,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good article ","listText":"Good article ","text":"Good article","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/169127409","repostId":"2143975182","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2143975182","pubTimestamp":1623813473,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2143975182?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-16 11:17","market":"us","language":"en","title":"If You Like Dividends, You Should Love These 3 Stocks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2143975182","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"Their simple, proven business models equip these stalwart companies to fund their payouts in almost any environment.","content":"
Looking for a little more income from your investment portfolio?
With the end of the pandemic in sight though, investors may be surprised to see just how well-suited Coca-Cola is for funding dividend payments.\nThen, of course, there's the fact that Coke hasn't failed to raise its dividend for 59 consecutive years now, putting it near the very top for longevity honors among all the Dividend Aristocrats.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":488,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":137696721,"gmtCreate":1622341239963,"gmtModify":1631891617784,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Happy holiday!!!","listText":"Happy holiday!!!","text":"Happy holiday!!!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/137696721","repostId":"1170854386","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":110,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":129120560,"gmtCreate":1624365817550,"gmtModify":1631891617768,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Roller coasters ","listText":"Roller coasters ","text":"Roller coasters","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/129120560","repostId":"1144845444","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":103,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":128011850,"gmtCreate":1624495129770,"gmtModify":1631891617763,"author":{"id":"3581841475262844","authorId":"3581841475262844","name":"ngph","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/184d156a6098c9891cc55260418562f6","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581841475262844","authorIdStr":"3581841475262844"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Vested in both","listText":"Vested in both","text":"Vested in both","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/128011850","repostId":"1129538803","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1129538803","pubTimestamp":1624494525,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1129538803?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-24 08:28","market":"sg","language":"en","title":"Singapore's Keppel, Sembcorp Marine request trading halts","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1129538803","media":"Reuters","summary":"June 24 (Reuters) - Singapore-listed conglomerate Keppel Corp and rig builder Sembcorp Marine on Thu","content":"
June 24 (Reuters) - Singapore-listed conglomerate Keppel Corp and rig builder Sembcorp Marine on Thursday requested the stock exchange in separate filings that their shares be placed on trading halts pending announcements.
\n
Keppel and Sembcorp Marine were among the world’s biggest oil rig-builders, but a prolonged drop in oil prices and an oversupply of rigs have hit their businesses hard for several years.
\n
Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings, which is the biggest shareholder in both companies, had scrapped its plans last year to take majority stake in Keppel, following the company’s poor financial results.
\n
Markets had expected Temasek to lead a much-needed consolidation in the rig-building sector after a deal.
\n
Earlier this year, Keppel said its struggling offshore and marine (O&M) segment will exit rig-building services, and that the company was also exploring inorganic options for the O&M business.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
