The target presents an 18% increase from Apple’s (ticker: AAPL) $161.84 closing price on Friday. The stock was up 1.2% to $163.73 in premarket trading Monday.
\n
Of the 42 analysts covering the stock surveyed by FactSet, 32 have it at a Buy or Overweight rating, nine rated it at Hold, and one rated it Underweight.
\n
“While AAPL is expensive by historical valuations, we find AAPL attractive relative to other mega-caps,” Nispel wrote on Monday.
\n
The analyst outlined three main reasons for his bullish take. Nispel doesn’t believe iPhone unit sales have peaked, with the 5G upgrade cycle potentially pushing Apple past its current peak; he believes the company has managed to increase its product breadth to reduce reliability on iPhone sales; and he foresees services to grow at rates multiple times faster than user growth.
\n
The analyst forecasts Apple to have 1.09 billion active iPhones and 1.8 billion active installed devices by the end of the first quarter of the 2022 fiscal year. This presents a 7% and 8% year-over-year increase, respectively.
\n
“This shows a healthy growing user base where Apple iPhone market share is low relative to key geographies outside the United States,” Nispel wrote. “As the installed base grows, a larger base can support more sales on lower upgrade rates.”
\n
Apple’s international segment is likely to grow faster in the coming years as other countries adapt to 5G, prompting a wave of upgrades to compatible hardware, Nispel wrote. The target presents an 18% increase from Apple’s (ticker: AAPL) $161.84 closing price on Friday. The stock was up 1.2% to $163.73 in premarket trading Monday.\nOf the 42 analysts covering the stock surveyed by FactSet, 32 have it at a Buy or Overweight rating, nine rated it at Hold, and one rated it Underweight.\n“While AAPL is expensive by historical valuations, we find AAPL attractive relative to other mega-caps,” Nispel wrote on Monday.\nThe analyst outlined three main reasons for his bullish take. Nispel doesn’t believe iPhone unit sales have peaked, with the 5G upgrade cycle potentially pushing Apple past its current peak; he believes the company has managed to increase its product breadth to reduce reliability on iPhone sales; and he foresees services to grow at rates multiple times faster than user growth.\nThe analyst forecasts Apple to have 1.09 billion active iPhones and 1.8 billion active installed devices by the end of the first quarter of the 2022 fiscal year. This presents a 7% and 8% year-over-year increase, respectively.\n“This shows a healthy growing user base where Apple iPhone market share is low relative to key geographies outside the United States,” Nispel wrote. “As the installed base grows, a larger base can support more sales on lower upgrade rates.”\nApple’s international segment is likely to grow faster in the coming years as other countries adapt to 5G, prompting a wave of upgrades to compatible hardware, Nispel wrote. He estimates every 1% increase in 5G upgrade rates could drive an incremental 11 million iPhone unit sales.\nAs hardware adoption grows, so does Apple’s services business. The segment, which includes services such as Apple TV+, Music, News+, AppleCare, Advertising, and Cloud, has grown 27% in the 2021 fiscal year. Over time, it could become a key profitability driver, growing to more than $100 billion by 2024, Nispel said.\nNispel recognized that Apple’s App Store legal battles were concerning, but were “likely more a bend, not break outcome.” The company has had to make modest changes to its App Store guidance in response to court rulings and regulatory changes, including lowering its commission for some developers. It will likely make more concessions over time, such as allowing developers to provide third-party payment options, Nispel said.\n“We expect regulation to take time to implement, and believe Apple’s competitive advantage is unlikely to be substantially harmed,” he added.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":702,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":601607958,"gmtCreate":1638517719122,"gmtModify":1638517719122,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/601607958","repostId":"1138290638","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1138290638","pubTimestamp":1638515006,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1138290638?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-03 15:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Clover Stock Has Slumped. Below, we have listed a few questions that could help determine if now is the time to invest in the stock.
\n
The success of Clover Assistant
\n
AI software platform Clover Assistant is the key differentiator in Clover’s unique model, and it has nearly 100,000 lives under management. The platform was designed to help physicians improve their services and attract new members.
\n
Clover’s business model is heavily dependent on the platform, but experts are skeptical as to whether it can deliver what it promises: ease of use for doctors and money saving opportunities for patients. Clover Assistant has grown 223% YOY and approximately 2,900 health care professionals used Clover Assistant in Q3, up 45% YOY.
\n
Are bears right?
\n
Known as the “king of SPACs,” Clover saw its stock price plummet earlier this year. The likely culprit: research firm Hindenburgshortedthe stock, claiming that the company was the target of an investigation for dubious sales practices.
\n
After Hindenburg's bet, CLOV share price plunged 50% year-to-date by the end of May. At that point, the stock caught the attention of Wall Street Bets’ “apes” community and became a target of meme mania. Since early June, stocks spiked 190% but then fell around 80% to all-time lows.
\n
Venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, who helped Clover go public through SPAC,defended the company from the allegations. But at that point, it may have been too late: skepticism towards CLOV had spread wide and the stock became a short seller favorite.
\n
Currently, short interest is a bit on the hot side: 12% of the float is currently shorted, according to Yahoo Finance. We like to think that anything above 10% is a bearish indicator and a potential short squeeze candidate.
\n
CLOV’s path to profitability
\n
Clover Health’s “meme” momentum driven by sheer buzz and enthusiasm seems to have lost steam as the main discussion boards “cooled down” on the name. Now, CLOV shares could trade more in line with business fundamentals.
\n
In that regard, the company has been a strong revenue generator in a market with multi-billion dollar potential: Medicare Advantage. In Q3, Clover generated $472 million in revenues, up an astounding 153% YOY. However, the company is still far from being profitable. Full year 2021 adjusted EBITDA is expected to sit around negative $250 million and $230 million.
\n
One key question is how long it may take for Clover to reach profits with the current business model. Another is whether the company will be able to expand outside its current territory. The answers to these questions will likely drive the stock’s performance in the foreseeable future.
\n
Lastly, according to Wall Street experts, CLOV stock is undervalued at current levels. Despite the consensus rating on the stock leaning heavily towards cautious, average price target sits at $8.67, suggesting 76% upside potential from here.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Clover Stock Has Slumped. By the end of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average(DJINDICES:^DJI),S&P 500(SNPINDEX:^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite(NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC)were all down between 2% and 3%.
\n
Today's news hurt stocks in many different sectors of the market, with a wide variety of factors playing into losses. Because of theDow's price-weighted nature, a few stocks had a disproportionate influence on the average's moves. Below, we'll look at how American Express(NYSE:AXP),Boeing(NYSE:BA), and Goldman Sachs(NYSE:GS)combined to lop about 250 points off the Dow by themselves.
\n
A double hit for American Express
\n
American Express was the worst performer in the Dow, falling almost 9%. The financial company saw its stock fall for two different reasons related to the news about the pandemic.
\n
First and foremost, American Express has historically relied on global travel to drive a substantial part of its business. Its traveler's checks are known around the world as a means of doing business, and its charge cards have prestige in key market destinations. The prospects for further restrictions on travel, therefore, would have a detrimental impact on its business.
\n
Moreover, as a financial institution,American Express benefits from a steeper yield curve. The recent trend in that direction met an abrupt reversal on Friday, as bond yields plunged on prospects for a possible economic slowdown. Investors anticipate that the company could have problems meeting its own expectations if the pandemic worsens, and that's why the stock cost the Dow about 100 points on Friday.
\n
Flying lower
\n
Another company that one would've expected to fare poorly given the news was Boeing(NYSE:BA). The aerospace company fell more than 5%, and its higher-priced shares gave it a big impact on the Dow.
\n
You won't find airline stocks in the Dow Industrials, but they took even larger hits as a result of the COVID news. Already, the U.S. and other nations have put travel restrictions on South Africa and neighboring countries to try to stem the spread of the Omicron variant. That bodes poorly for airlines serving those markets, and it indirectly affects Boeing by raising the possibility that airlines will have to cancel or postpone orders if they come under additional economic pressure.
\n
Boeing has suffered substantial losses, but investors were starting to hope that it would turn profitable again in 2022. The latest news threatens that assessment, and investors don't like the prospects for more red ink from the aircraft manufacturer.
\n
Banking on rate rises
\n
Goldman Sachs was down 2.5% on Friday. Its nearly $10 decline cost the Dow roughly 70 points on the day.
\n
Goldman faced some of the same challenges that American Express does. Increasingly,Goldman has tried to boost its retail banking presence through its Marcus unit, and that has exposed the Wall Street financial giant to greater interest rate sensitivity. By the end of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average(DJINDICES:^DJI),S&P 500(SNPINDEX:^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite(NASDAQINDEX:^IXIC)were all down between 2% and 3%.\nToday's news hurt stocks in many different sectors of the market, with a wide variety of factors playing into losses. Because of theDow's price-weighted nature, a few stocks had a disproportionate influence on the average's moves. Below, we'll look at how American Express(NYSE:AXP),Boeing(NYSE:BA), and Goldman Sachs(NYSE:GS)combined to lop about 250 points off the Dow by themselves.\nA double hit for American Express\nAmerican Express was the worst performer in the Dow, falling almost 9%. The financial company saw its stock fall for two different reasons related to the news about the pandemic.\nFirst and foremost, American Express has historically relied on global travel to drive a substantial part of its business. Its traveler's checks are known around the world as a means of doing business, and its charge cards have prestige in key market destinations. The prospects for further restrictions on travel, therefore, would have a detrimental impact on its business.\nMoreover, as a financial institution,American Express benefits from a steeper yield curve. The recent trend in that direction met an abrupt reversal on Friday, as bond yields plunged on prospects for a possible economic slowdown. Investors anticipate that the company could have problems meeting its own expectations if the pandemic worsens, and that's why the stock cost the Dow about 100 points on Friday.\nFlying lower\nAnother company that one would've expected to fare poorly given the news was Boeing(NYSE:BA). The aerospace company fell more than 5%, and its higher-priced shares gave it a big impact on the Dow.\nYou won't find airline stocks in the Dow Industrials, but they took even larger hits as a result of the COVID news. Already, the U.S. and other nations have put travel restrictions on South Africa and neighboring countries to try to stem the spread of the Omicron variant. That bodes poorly for airlines serving those markets, and it indirectly affects Boeing by raising the possibility that airlines will have to cancel or postpone orders if they come under additional economic pressure.\nBoeing has suffered substantial losses, but investors were starting to hope that it would turn profitable again in 2022. The latest news threatens that assessment, and investors don't like the prospects for more red ink from the aircraft manufacturer.\nBanking on rate rises\nGoldman Sachs was down 2.5% on Friday. Its nearly $10 decline cost the Dow roughly 70 points on the day.\nGoldman faced some of the same challenges that American Express does. Increasingly,Goldman has tried to boost its retail banking presence through its Marcus unit, and that has exposed the Wall Street financial giant to greater interest rate sensitivity. The flattening yield curve Friday didn't do any favors to the company's consumer banking segment.\nWall Street has also benefited from huge levels of investment banking activity, where Goldman excels. If a market pullback leads to reduced activity for initial public offerings, acquisitions, and other corporate events, then it could hurt that part of Goldman's business as well.\nDon't panic\nA 900-point plunge for the Dow makes for a scary headline, but it's just part of the natural volatility of the stock market. Don't lose perspective, and if you stick with your long-term investment strategy, things will likely go better for you than if you panic.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":203,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877156145,"gmtCreate":1637902293258,"gmtModify":1637902293258,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/877156145","repostId":"1123673637","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":345,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877158422,"gmtCreate":1637902229521,"gmtModify":1637902229521,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Buy","listText":"Buy","text":"Buy","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/877158422","repostId":"1142519553","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":301,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877027094,"gmtCreate":1637847172078,"gmtModify":1637847172078,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/877027094","repostId":"1105719077","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":264,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":874115234,"gmtCreate":1637742873418,"gmtModify":1637742873418,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/874115234","repostId":"1150346816","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":457,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":875824046,"gmtCreate":1637634041757,"gmtModify":1637634041757,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/875824046","repostId":"1138875248","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":239,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":698827967,"gmtCreate":1640346251244,"gmtModify":1640346251351,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698827967","repostId":"2193127176","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":686,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877156145,"gmtCreate":1637902293258,"gmtModify":1637902293258,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/877156145","repostId":"1123673637","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1123673637","pubTimestamp":1637897934,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1123673637?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-26 The U.S. measure declined in October, while remaining at a historically elevated level, suggesting shortages are becoming less severe.
\n
If the trend continues into 2022, sticker-shock for U.S. consumers should begin to fade. That could make life at least a bit easier for newly reappointed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, who’s under pressure to tighten monetary policy as prices surge.
\n
The improvement in the U.S.’s supply crunch backs up President Joe Biden’s view that bottlenecks are easing after his administration moved to smooth operations at West Coast ports. That could make life at least a bit easier for newly reappointed Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, who’s under pressure to tighten monetary policy as prices surge.\nThe improvement in the U.S.’s supply crunch backs up President Joe Biden’s view that bottlenecks are easing after his administration moved to smooth operations at West Coast ports.
The flattening yield curve Friday didn't do any favors to the company's consumer banking segment.
\n
Wall Street has also benefited from huge levels of investment banking activity, where Goldman excels. If a market pullback leads to reduced activity for initial public offerings, acquisitions, and other corporate events, then it could hurt that part of Goldman's business as well.
\n
Don't panic
\n
A 900-point plunge for the Dow makes for a scary headline, but it's just part of the natural volatility of the stock market. Don't lose perspective, and if you stick with your long-term investment strategy, things will likely go better for you than if you panic.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
These 3 Stocks Punished the Dow Friday
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nThese 3 Stocks Punished the Dow Friday\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-27 08:23 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The stock market was definitely not in a holiday mood on the day after Thanksgiving, as news of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 led to widespread concerns about a possible return to lockdown ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"GS":"高盛","BA":"波音","AXP":"美国运通"},"source_url":"https://www.fool.com/investing/2021/11/26/these-3-stocks-punished-the-dow-friday/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1128119268","content_text":"The stock market was definitely not in a holiday mood on the day after Thanksgiving, as news of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 led to widespread concerns about a possible return to lockdown conditions. The combination of cheap money and an economy roaring out of the pandemic set the stage of an unstoppable rally, with frenzied retail trading and a lack of other good investment options adding fuel to the fire.\nThe rally has left U.S. stocks teetering at record valuations and even some Wall Street analysts, usually a bullish cohort, are turning bearish for next year. For investors, the debate continues to be about how fast central banks will raise rates to combat sticky inflation, and how badly it could poentially erode economic growth.\nOne possible sign of skittishness: investors have pulled money from stock funds only twice this year, and the second time was in the past week. Equity funds had $2.7 billion outflows in the week through Nov. 23, according to BofA.\nOther highlights from BofA’s report:\n\nThe amount of money moving into the stock market dwarfed anything else this year. Bond funds attracted just $496 billion and money market funds received about $260 billion.\nETFs continue to be the product of choice. Stock ETFs absorbed $785 billion inflows this year, compared with about $108 billion for long-only funds.\nEquity sectors that saw record investments in 2021 include financial, consumer, energy, materials, real estate and infrastructure. On the surface, the numbers weren’t great. Lucid lost 42 cents per share, dwarfing analysts’ expectations for a loss of 25 cents per share. Yet, LCID stock jumped nearly 24% the next day. It just goes to show you that you can’t always judge how investors will react to an earnings report based on the headline.
\n
LCID stock has been on fire over the past month, rising more than 117%. I expect shares to continue to outperform based on bullish sentiment related to production numbers, a major automotive award and analyst upgrades.
\n
Lucid: Beyond the Loss
\n
Lucid went public in July after closing its merger with special purpose acquisition company Churchill Capital Corp IV. It is headed by CEO Peter Rawlinson. Before working at Lucid, Rawlinson was best known as the vehicle engineer for the popular Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA) Model S.
\n
Lucid began delivering its first model, the Lucid Air, on Oct. 30. The electric sedan has a starting price of $77,400 and boasts a top range of 520 miles. In comparison, Tesla’s Model S sells for $91,190 and has a top range of 412 miles. Advantage Lucid.
\n
Buyers are lining up. Lucid announced that it had 13,000 reservations for the Lucid Air at the end of Q3. By Nov. 15, management said it had over 17,000 reservations.
\n
The company believes it can produce 20,000 vehicles in 2022 at its Arizona plant.
\n
“This target is not without risk given ongoing challenges facing the automotive industry, with global disruptions to supply chains and logistics,” Rawlinson said in a news release. “We are taking steps to mitigate these challenges, however, and look forward to the launch of the Grand Touring, Touring, and Pure versions of Lucid Air through 2022.”
\n
Lucid’s factory has a top capacity of 34,000 vehicles annually, but the company has already started an expansion project that will allow it to produce 90,000 vehicles by the end of 2023. It also plans to open plants in China and the Middle East by the middle of the decade.
\n
Lucid said it ended the third quarter with a cash horde of $4.8 billion. Not bad for a new company.
\n
Lucid Receives Industry and Analyst Praise
\n
Earlier this month, I wrote what could best be described as a skeptical take on LCID stock. I noted that the car was getting solid reviews from MotorTrend,Car and DriverandConsumer Reports. But the real test, I said, would be if Lucid could keep up the quality on a day-to-day basis.
\n
Now, at least one of those reviewers is doubling down in a big way.MotorTrendannounced on Nov. 15 that the Lucid Air is its 2022 Car of the Year:
\n
\n Automotive progress usually happens in baby steps. Slowly, like a white oak sapling growing in a forest. But every now and then a new car jumps off the automotive forest floor like a rainbow eucalyptus, advancing like crazy while making a colorful splash. The Air sedan from startup EV-maker Lucid is just such a car, and its level of innovation and sophistication are as fresh and unexpected as multicolored tree bark.\n
\n
That’s some head-turning praise.
\n
Only four analysts currently cover LCID stock, according toThe Wall Street Journal, with one-year targets ranging from a low of $16 to a high of $60. I think the high end is more realistic.
\n
Citi analyst Itay Michaeli recently boosted his target from $28 to $57 a share, maintaining a “buy” rating. In a research note, he wrote that Lucid has “strong” EV tech credentials that are building both commercial and brand momentum. Michaeli’s target is about 9% above the stock’s current price.
\n
The Bottom Line on LCID Stock
\n
With a universally hailed design, strong demand and rave reviews, Lucid’s shares are riding high right now. LCID stock has even been outpacing Tesla’s shares recently, up more than 140% over the past three months compared to 70% for TSLA stock.
\n
It’s not too late to start building a position in LCID stock. The best strategy is dollar-cost averaging, or to consistently buy shares in set amounts over a period of time. Just remember that, because Lucid is a relatively new company, its shares are bound to be volatile.
\n
The EV space is going to be competitive for years. Don’t overreact to peaks and valleys. All in all, the rewards seem higher than the risks right now.
","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
It’s Not Too Late to Start Buying Lucid Stock
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nIt’s Not Too Late to Start Buying Lucid Stock\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-26 11:21 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Electric vehicle startupLucid Group(NASDAQ:LCID) released its first earnings report as a publicly traded company on Nov. 15. By Nov. 15, management said it had over 17,000 reservations.\nThe company believes it can produce 20,000 vehicles in 2022 at its Arizona plant.\n“This target is not without risk given ongoing challenges facing the automotive industry, with global disruptions to supply chains and logistics,” Rawlinson said in a news release. “We are taking steps to mitigate these challenges, however, and look forward to the launch of the Grand Touring, Touring, and Pure versions of Lucid Air through 2022.”\nLucid’s factory has a top capacity of 34,000 vehicles annually, but the company has already started an expansion project that will allow it to produce 90,000 vehicles by the end of 2023. It also plans to open plants in China and the Middle East by the middle of the decade.\nLucid said it ended the third quarter with a cash horde of $4.8 billion. Not bad for a new company.\nLucid Receives Industry and Analyst Praise\nEarlier this month, I wrote what could best be described as a skeptical take on LCID stock. I noted that the car was getting solid reviews from MotorTrend,Car and DriverandConsumer Reports. But the real test, I said, would be if Lucid could keep up the quality on a day-to-day basis.\nNow, at least one of those reviewers is doubling down in a big way.MotorTrendannounced on Nov. 15 that the Lucid Air is its 2022 Car of the Year:\n\n Automotive progress usually happens in baby steps. Slowly, like a white oak sapling growing in a forest. But every now and then a new car jumps off the automotive forest floor like a rainbow eucalyptus, advancing like crazy while making a colorful splash. The Air sedan from startup EV-maker Lucid is just such a car, and its level of innovation and sophistication are as fresh and unexpected as multicolored tree bark.\n\nThat’s some head-turning praise.\nOnly four analysts currently cover LCID stock, according toThe Wall Street Journal, with one-year targets ranging from a low of $16 to a high of $60. I think the high end is more realistic.\nCiti analyst Itay Michaeli recently boosted his target from $28 to $57 a share, maintaining a “buy” rating. In a research note, he wrote that Lucid has “strong” EV tech credentials that are building both commercial and brand momentum. Michaeli’s target is about 9% above the stock’s current price.\nThe Bottom Line on LCID Stock\nWith a universally hailed design, strong demand and rave reviews, Lucid’s shares are riding high right now. LCID stock has even been outpacing Tesla’s shares recently, up more than 140% over the past three months compared to 70% for TSLA stock.\nIt’s not too late to start building a position in LCID stock. The best strategy is dollar-cost averaging, or to consistently buy shares in set amounts over a period of time. Just remember that, because Lucid is a relatively new company, its shares are bound to be volatile.\nThe EV space is going to be competitive for years. Don’t overreact to peaks and valleys. All in all, the rewards seem higher than the risks right now.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":301,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":603567349,"gmtCreate":1638429661733,"gmtModify":1638429661852,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/603567349","repostId":"1159695915","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":567,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":609951321,"gmtCreate":1638233680704,"gmtModify":1638233688949,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nic3","listText":"Nic3","text":"Nic3","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/609951321","repostId":"1122315710","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":524,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":600335037,"gmtCreate":1638065477252,"gmtModify":1638065477252,"author":{"id":"3571302905057300","authorId":"3571302905057300","name":"SebZz","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/600335037","repostId":"2186287173","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2186287173","pubTimestamp":1638057946,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2186287173?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-28 08:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"U.S. Black Friday shoppers tapered online splurge, as some returned to stores","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2186287173","media":"StreetInsider","summary":"(Reuters) - U.S. shoppers spent slightly less online during Black Friday this year, with many ventur","content":"
(Reuters) - U.S. shoppers spent slightly less online during Black Friday this year, with many venturing back to physical stores despite coronavirus fears, tight supplies, and retailers' efforts to encourage earlier holiday purchases.
\n
For the first time ever, spending online during Black Friday - traditionally one of the biggest shopping days of the year - fell, reversing the growth of recent years, according to data from Adobe Analytics, a wing of Adobe's business that specializes in data insights and tracks transactions at 80 of the top 100 U.S. retailers.
\n
Retailers lured shoppers to make holiday purchases online as early as September this year, because the supply-chain logjam has prevented them from quickly replenishing year-end merchandise. variant of Covi","content":"
Airline stocks and other travel-related equities are getting hit hard today as a new variant of Covid-19 has prompted several European countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, to impose new travel restrictions.
\n
Stocks of leading carriers, including American Airlines(NASDAQ:AAL),Delta Airlines(NYSE:DAL), and United Airlines(NASDAQ:UAL), are each down more than 5% in early morning trading today as fears grow that new lockdown measures andtravel restrictionswill be imposed around the world. This comes after a new, more contagious variant of Covid-19 has emerged in South Africa, with one case of the variant also reported in Israel.
\n
Other travel-related stocks, ranging from Airbnb(NASDAQ:ABNB) to Expedia Group(NASDAQ:EXPE) are also down more than 5% on news of the new coronavirus variant.
\n
What Happened With Airline Stocks
\n
Stock markets around the world are plunging today on news that a potentially more deadlyvariant of Covid-19has emerged in South Africa. As the World Health Organization (WHO) convenes an emergency meeting in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss and examine the new variant, markets in Europe had their worst session in more than year. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index each fell more than 2%.
\n
In the United States, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 2.6%, while the S&P 500is down 1.9% and the Nasdaq Composite is down 1.6%. However, airline and travel stocks appear to be taking the brunt of the decline as governments across Europereacted swiftlyto the new Covid-19 variant. The U.K. and Germany are already blocking flights from South Africa. Other countries such as France and Italy have announced temporary travel bans from southern Africa, while Asian nations such as Singapore and Japan announced plans to broadly tighten their border controls.
\n
The variant has been labeled B.1.1.529.
\n
Why It Matters
\n
Thetravel and tourism sectorwas arguable hardest hit by the pandemic, and airline stocks were only now beginning a tentative recovery. American Airlines, the largest carrier in the world with more international flights than any other company, has been particularly hurt. Before today’s selloff, AAL stock remained more than 30% below its pre-pandemic level. Many airlines were forced to take on huge amounts of debt during the pandemic and also tookfinancial aid packagesfrom the federal government that amounted to $54 billion.
\n
American Airlines alone saw itsdebt swellto $40 billion over the last year and a half. That countries around the world may once again close their borders to international travelers and reimpose lockdown measures is terrible news for airline and travel companies, and comes at the worst possible time. The situation could also hurt taxpayers if governments are again forced to bail out the airlines in the face of new travel restrictions. How bad things ultimately get with the new Covid-19 variant remains to be seen. But the initial reaction is harming airline and travel stocks today.
\n
What’s Next
\n
All eye will be on the World Health Organization and its emergency meeting in Geneva today. An update from the WHO on the new variant will either reassure markets or could lead to an even greater selloff, depending on how contagious and deadly the new variant proves to be. For now, airlines and other travel stocks look likely to continue falling as investors react to the latest pandemic news.
","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
AAL, DAL, UAL Stocks: Why Are Airline Stocks Down Today?
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nAAL, DAL, UAL Stocks: Why Are Airline Stocks Down Today?\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-27 07:33 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Airline stocks and other travel-related equities are getting hit hard today as a new variant of Covid-19 has prompted several European countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, to impose ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{"UAL":"联合大陆航空","AAL":"美国航空","DAL":"达美航空"},"source_url":"https://investorplace.com/2021/11/aal-dal-ual-stocks-why-are-airline-stocks-down-today/","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1101751671","content_text":"Airline stocks and other travel-related equities are getting hit hard today as a new variant of Covid-19 has prompted several European countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, to impose new travel restrictions.\nStocks of leading carriers, including American Airlines(NASDAQ:AAL),Delta Airlines(NYSE:DAL), and United Airlines(NASDAQ:UAL), are each down more than 5% in early morning trading today as fears grow that new lockdown measures andtravel restrictionswill be imposed around the world.
