The fund invests in small-cap growth and value stocks of energy companies and seeks to track the performance of the S&P SmallCap 600 Capped Energy Index, by using full replication techniques.
\n
Related: Could Oil Pipelines Solve America’s Water Crisis?
\n
PSCE provides investors with exposure to small-cap U.S. energy stocks engaged in the production, distribution, or servicing of energy-related products. Ring Energy
\n
Market Cap: $263.3M
\n
YTD Returns: 301.6%
\n
Ring Energy, Inc. (NYSE:REI), is an exploration and production company that engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas in Texas and New Mexico.
\n
As of December 31, 2020, the company proved reserves consisted of approximately 76.5 million barrels of oil equivalent(BOE) as well as interests in 45,000 net developed acres and another 31,700 net undeveloped acres. Ring Energy, Inc. primarily sells its oil and natural gas production to end users, marketers, and other purchasers.
\n
In April 2020, REI announced that it had entered into a purchase and sale agreement on its Delaware Basin Acreage consisting of approximately 20,000 net acres with a sale price of $31.5 million.
\n
The company has received a $500,000 non-refundable deposit, and had received $5.5 million in non-refundable deposits, or 17% of the original purchase price, by the time the deal fell through in October 2020.
\n
The considerable non-refundable deposits that Ring Energy received painted it in a good light by proving the value of its assets to shareholders. The company is also likely to receive considerably more for the same asset in the future, given that oil prices have climbed more than 30% since then.
\n
#3.Range Resources Corporation
\n
Market Cap: $4.9B
\n
YTD Share Returns: 204.2%%
\n
Operating in the gas-rich Marcellus Formation in Texas, Range Resources (NYSE:RRC) is the 8th largest U.S. shale gas producer. As of December 31, 2020, the company owned and operated 1,310 net producing wells and approximately 781,000 net acres under lease located in the Appalachian region of the northeastern United States. The company's acreage is superior to that of most of its peers, which allows it to enjoy a lower decline rate and more efficient operations.
\n
Recently, Morgan Stanley picked Range Resources together with its shale gas peer Antero Resources (NYSE:AR) as their favorite gas stocks because their outsized exposure to liquids still makes sense with the growing prospects of a propane supply squeeze. Propane's trading at 75% of WTI, significantly above the more typical low 50s percentage for this time of year, with the Wall Street bank remaining bullish on LPG prices.
\n
#4. Matador Resources Company
\n
Market Cap: $3.9B
\n
YTD Returns: 177.8%
\n
Dallas-based Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) is an independent energy company engaged in the exploration, development, production, and acquisition of oil and natural gas resources in the United States. It operates in two segments, Exploration and Production(E&P) and Midstream. The company primarily holds interests in the Wolfcamp and Bone Spring plays in the Delaware Basin in Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. It also operates the Eagle Ford shale play in South Texas and the Haynesville shale and Cotton Valley plays in Northwest Louisiana.
\n
Related: China Oil Consumption Seen Peaking In 5 Years
\n
As of December 31, 2020, Matador had an estimated total proved oil and natural gas reserves of 270.3 million barrels of oil equivalent, including 159.9 million stock tank barrels of oil and 662.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
\n
A couple of weeks ago, J.P. Morgan and upgraded Matador Resources (NYSE:MTDR) Overweight from Neutral in part due to continued operational outperformance.
\n
#5. PDC Energy
\n
Market Cap: $4.6B
\n
YTD Returns: 128.9%
\n
J.P. Morgan recently picked seven narratives playing out in oil and gas E&Ps. One of J.P. Morgan's fall \"playbook\" for oil and gas exploration and production companies are those with the highest potential return of \"significant\" levels of free cash flow to equity holders--rather than merely using it for reducing debt, as most oil and gas companies have done this year. Indeed, JPM says that since the end of 2020, companies in the firm's coverage group have cut net debt by $9.65 billion through balance sheets of June 30.
\n
PDC Energy (NASDAQ:PDCE) is one such company that has announced cash return strategies beyond normal dividends.
\n
PDC Energy is an independent exploration and production company that produces crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids in the United States. The company's operations are primarily located in the Wattenberg Field in Colorado and the Delaware Basin in Texas. As of December 31, 2020, it owned interests in approximately 3,727 productive gross wells.
\n
JPM also favors PDCE as a top pick because:
\n
\"We think that the current price environment remains a 'sweet spot,' with demand gradually recovering from COVID-19 and the OPEC/shale market share war remaining fairly subdued largely driven by public company shale discipline.\"
\n
By Alex Kimani for Oilprice.com
","source":"yahoofinance","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
5 Stocks To Watch As Oil Nears $80
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n5 Stocks To Watch As Oil Nears $80\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-10-05 08:55 GMT+8 Oilprice.com\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
The oil markets appear to have successfully scaled a major wall of worry, with oil prices rebounding to multi-year highs. Morgan's fall \"playbook\" for oil and gas exploration and production companies are those with the highest potential return of \"significant\" levels of free cash flow to equity holders--rather than merely using it for reducing debt, as most oil and gas companies have done this year. Indeed, JPM says that since the end of 2020, companies in the firm's coverage group have cut net debt by $9.65 billion through balance sheets of June 30.\nPDC Energy (NASDAQ:PDCE) is one such company that has announced cash return strategies beyond normal dividends.\nPDC Energy is an independent exploration and production company that produces crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids in the United States. The company's operations are primarily located in the Wattenberg Field in Colorado and the Delaware Basin in Texas. As of December 31, 2020, it owned interests in approximately 3,727 productive gross wells.\nJPM also favors PDCE as a top pick because:\n\"We think that the current price environment remains a 'sweet As of December 31, 2020, it owned interests in approximately 3,727 productive gross wells.\nJPM also favors PDCE as a top pick because:\n\"We think that the current price environment remains a 'sweet spot,' with demand gradually recovering from COVID-19 and the OPEC/shale market share war remaining fairly subdued largely driven by public company shale discipline.\"\nBy Alex Kimani for Oilprice.com","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":310,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":151465021,"gmtCreate":1625102972063,"gmtModify":1631889561729,"author":{"id":"3567389287484383","authorId":"3567389287484383","name":"HSLiu","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa9f3f4742f4cf715e3310da6a2c5629","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$The Original Bark Corp.(BARK)$way to go Bark[龇牙] ","listText":"$The Original Bark Corp.(BARK)$way to go Bark[龇牙] ","text":"$The Original Bark Corp.(BARK)$way to go Bark[龇牙]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/151465021","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":191,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":820432671,"gmtCreate":1633413347442,"gmtModify":1633413347552,"author":{"id":"3567389287484383","authorId":"3567389287484383","name":"HSLiu","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa9f3f4742f4cf715e3310da6a2c5629","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Buy on dip","listText":"Buy on dip","text":"Buy on dip","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/820432671","repostId":"2172799913","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":352,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":820431468,"gmtCreate":1633412882763,"gmtModify":1633412882840,"author":{"id":"3567389287484383","authorId":"3567389287484383","name":"HSLiu","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa9f3f4742f4cf715e3310da6a2c5629","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good idea","listText":"Good idea","text":"Good idea","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/820431468","repostId":"1190774495","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1190774495","pubTimestamp":1633395532,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1190774495?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-10-05 08:58","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Analysts:buy these energy stocks if oil keeps rising","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1190774495","media":"CNBC","summary":"The energy sectorwas the only S&P group to finish September in the green. With the fourth quarter kicking off, Wall Street analysts see more gains on the horizon for the year’s hottest trade.\nWith September’s gains energy is once again the top-performing S&P 500 group for the year, although it did finish the third quarter in the red due to some weakness over the summer as the delta variant temporarily halted demand for petroleum products.\nStill, the sector is up 38% for 2021. Financials and real estate are the next best performers, rising 27% and 22%, respectively.\nThe surge in oil and natural gas prices has supported energy stocks.Brent crude, the international oil benchmark, traded above $80 per barrel this week for the first time since October 2018, while natural gas futures surged above $6 per million British thermal units to the highest level in more than seven years.\nDemand is recovering as people hit the road and economies around the world reopen, while supply remains in check. Heading into the winter, stockpiles are below normal, especiallyin Europe where an energy crunchhas sent power prices shooting to all-time highs.\nAmid this backdrop, Goldman Sachs envisions Brent rising to $90 by the end of the year. This, in turn, should help energy companies’ bottom line.\n“We remain constructive on the broader oil sector, with memories of 2003 underinvestment cycle coming sharply into focus,” added analysts at Bank of America.\nTo find Wall Street’s top picks for the fourth quarter CNBC combed through the energy sector for names that at least 70% of analysts say to buy. From that list, we focused on stocks that have at least 10% upside based on average price targets.\nConocoPhillips is one of the names on the list, with 80% of analysts holding a buy rating on the stock. The company recently announced the acquisition of Shell’s Permian Basin assets for $9.5 billion.\n“Acquiring Shell’s Permian business is a positive catalyst for COP as it adds to free cash flow earmarked for return to shareholders and provides optionality for improvements including economies of scale,” Atlantic Equities said in a note to clients following the purchase.\nShares of the energy company are up about 72% for the year, and analysts see the stock rallying another 14%.\nExploration and production company Diamondback Energy is another name that makes the list, with 80% of analysts favoring the stock. Shares of the company have roughly doubled this year, and analysts see another 20% rally on the horizon.\nIn September, the company announced plans to accelerate its capital return program, saying it plans to return 50% of its free cash flow to stockholders beginning in the fourth quarter, instead of in 2022 as previously planned. Additionally, Diamondback Energy announced a $2 billion share repurchase program.\n“We believe the accelerated return program, complemented by the share repurchase program, highlights Diamondback’s strong operational and financial performance and commitment to capital discipline and shareholder returns,” Stifel said in a note to clients following the announcement.\n“The company’s cost leadership, balance sheet, minerals, and midstream ownership are a few of the reasons it is well-positioned to outperform as activity increases,” the firm added.\n\nRefiner Marathon Petroleum also makes the list with nearly 80% of analysts saying to buy the stock. Valero and Baker Hughes are two other names on the list.\n\n- CNBC’s Michael Bloom contributed reporting.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":551,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":867030375,"gmtCreate":1633160664518,"gmtModify":1633160664589,"author":{"id":"3567389287484383","authorId":"3567389287484383","name":"HSLiu","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa9f3f4742f4cf715e3310da6a2c5629","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Las Vegas Sands(LVS)$put on watchlist for economic recovery","listText":"$Las Vegas Sands(LVS)$put on watchlist for economic recovery","text":"$Las Vegas Sands(LVS)$put on watchlist for economic recovery","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d6dbc377df4fafefd5bbd8ffcbd2f523","width":"1080","height":"3255"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/867030375","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":442,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":867030946,"gmtCreate":1633160533936,"gmtModify":1633160534051,"author":{"id":"3567389287484383","authorId":"3567389287484383","name":"HSLiu","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa9f3f4742f4cf715e3310da6a2c5629","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Melco Crown Entertainment(MLCO)$will be higher once the regulation in Macao resolved","listText":"$Melco Crown Entertainment(MLCO)$will be higher once the regulation in Macao resolved","text":"$Melco Crown Entertainment(MLCO)$will be higher once the regulation in Macao resolved","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/51c0f5f0d7ab5584c964598df5dd7391","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/867030946","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":377,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
