Shares rallied 4.7% in premarket trading.</p>\n<p><b>Orphazyme(ORPH)</b> – Orphazyme plunged 52.6% in the premarket after the Food and Drug Administration rejected its experimental treatment for a genetic disorder known as Niemann-Pick disease type C. Eight of the 18 policymakers see at least three rate hikes by then.\nAnd though the Fed made no forecasts about its $120 billion monthly bond-buying program - which, along with rock-bottom interest rates, is keeping borrowing costs low and supporting economic growth - policymakers have said they will phase out the program before they begin raising rates.\nFollowing the 2007-2009 financial crisis and recession, it was a full two years from the formal announcement in December 2013 of the bond-buying taper to the first interest rate increase. The taper wrapped up in 10 months and left a still-wobbly economy more than a year to prepare for higher borrowing costs. It was another full year between the first and second rate hikes.\nThis time, the Fed is most likely to launch the taper in January, according to a Reuters poll. Getting two rate hikes in by the end of 2023, as the forecasts showed on Tuesday, would substantially shorten the runway for the handoff from the taper to a rates liftoff, and the rate increases also are projected to come more quickly.\nON THE SAME PAGE WITH MARKETS?\nThat's not to say the shift in gears, from easing policy to slowly tightening it, is imminent.\nThe economy, Fed Chair Jerome Powell noted on Wednesday, still has \"a ways\" to go before it will have healed enough for the Fed to start paring the monthly bond purchases. And the timing of the rates liftoff isn't even in the conversation, he said.\nThe Fed's rate projections have made half-point jumps before, particularly in the 2014-2016 period when the central bank was beginning its exit from the policies used during the earlier financial crisis.\nBut at that point the central bank was also in the middle of a consequential rethink about how the economy worked, and in particular was steadily lowering its estimates of the long-run \"neutral\" rate of interest used to assess whether monetary policy is encouraging or discouraging economic activity. Those markdowns were driving estimates of its own policy rate lower as well.\nThis time, the Fed is more directly shaping its outlook to immediate economic conditions.\nThe main message from the Fed's new forecasts, Powell told reporters after the end of the central bank's latest two-day policy meeting, is that \"many participants are more comfortable that the economic conditions in the (policy) committee’s forward guidance will be met somewhat sooner than previously anticipated.\"\nThat, he added, \"would be a welcome development: If such outcomes materialize, it means the economy will have made faster progress toward our goals.\"\nIt would also be different from the last time around, when the economy as it recovered from the financial crisis regularly fell short of the forecasts that Fed policymakers penciled in each quarter.\nPowell said the Fed would, starting at its meeting next month, begin to assess whether the economy has made enough progress toward its 2% inflation and full employment goals to justify reducing bond purchases, and would be \"orderly, methodical and transparent.\"\nThat's yet another departure from the blueprint used last time.\n\"In 2013, it was the Fed initiating the conversation about taper, and the markets were taken off guard,\" said Ellen Gaske, an economist at PGIM Fixed Income. In comparison, Tesla’s Model 3 in China starts at 249,900 yuan.Wu said the P5 would roll out to customers in China in the third or fourth quarter of this year. Xpeng has also expanded into Norway, its first international market. Wu said that the company will expand its footprint in northern Europe and the P5 would eventually be launched there. He gave no timelines on when this might happen.Driverless techXpeng has tried to push the advancement of its self-driving features to differentiate from its competitors.The P5 is equipped with so-called Lidar, or Light Detection and Ranging technology. Lidar systems send out lasers that bounce back and can measure distance. Those returning beams are processed by an algorithm to create a three dimensional representation of surrounding objects — a key technology for autonomous vehicles to understand their environment.Xpeng claims that Lidar can help the P5 distinguish pedestrians, cyclists and scooters as well as road works — even at night and under low-light conditions.On Wednesday, the Chinese vehicle maker also released a new version ofXPILOT, its so-called advanced driver-assistancesystem (ADAS). This refers to a system with some autonomous features but where a driver is still required.XPILOT 3.5 will have an updated version of afeature called Navigation Guided Pilot or NGP, which allows users to autonomously do tasks such as changing lanes or overtaking cars. Some of these features will work on city roads for the first time. Previously, NGP was just designed for highways.Xpeng’s XPILOT is an attempt to compete with Tesla’s own ADAS system called Autopilot as well as other rivals like Nio with its Nio Pilot.“In P7 we launched NGP … only on highways. But highway driving only occupies like 10% of peoples’ driving time. features, as it looks to race ahead in China's ultra-competitive auto market.The P5, Xpeng's third production model and second sedan after the P7, adds another competitor toTesla'sModel 3 in China's increasingly crowded field of electric car-makers.The Chinese firm, a rival to domestic playersNioandLi Auto, said it will release its pricing at the Shanghai Auto Show on Apr. 19.But in an interview with CNBC on Wednesday, Xinzhou Wu, vice president in charge of autonomous driving at Xpeng, said the P5 will be priced lower than the P7.“At this price range with the features we put in the car, I think it will be quite compelling for our customers,” he said.The P7 starts from 229,900 yuan ($35,192) after subsidies. In comparison, Tesla’s Model 3 in China starts at 249,900 yuan.Wu said the P5 would roll out to customers in China in the third or fourth quarter of this year. Xpeng has also expanded into Norway, its first international market. Wu said that the company will expand its footprint in northern Europe and the P5 would eventually be launched there. He gave no timelines on when this might happen.Driverless techXpeng has tried to push the advancement of its self-driving features to differentiate from its competitors.The P5 is equipped with so-called Lidar, or Light Detection and Ranging technology. Lidar systems send out lasers that bounce back and can measure distance. Those returning beams are processed by an algorithm to create a three dimensional representation of surrounding objects — a key technology for autonomous vehicles to understand their environment.Xpeng claims that Lidar can help the P5 distinguish pedestrians, cyclists and scooters as well as road works — even at night and under low-light conditions.On Wednesday, the Chinese vehicle maker also released a new version ofXPILOT, its so-called advanced driver-assistancesystem (ADAS). This refers to a system with some autonomous features but where a driver is still required.XPILOT 3.5 will have an updated version of afeature called Navigation Guided Pilot or NGP, which allows users to autonomously do tasks such as changing lanes or overtaking cars. Some of these features will work on city roads for the first time. Previously, NGP was just designed for highways.Xpeng’s XPILOT is an attempt to compete with Tesla’s own ADAS system called Autopilot as well as other rivals like Nio with its Nio Pilot.“In P7 we launched NGP … only on highways. But highway driving only occupies like 10% of peoples’ driving time. In comparison, Tesla’s Model 3 alone sold more than 137,000 units in 2020 in China.Wu said Xpeng has developed a lot of technology which he believes gives the company an edge.“We are definitely a step, a few steps ahead, you know as compared to most of our competitors. Apple offers some of the strongest branding in the world, is the clear leader in smartphones in the U.S., and has been pivoting to higher-margin services under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook. Though iPhone sales remain Apple's top product, services becoming a larger percentage of total sales will help remove the revenue lumpiness associated with new product launches.\n2. Bank of America: $43.2 billion\nBank stocks have long been Buffett's favorite place to put Berkshire's money work. Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) is Berkshire's unquestioned largest bank holding, with more than 14% of invested assets. Bank of America has done an excellent job of controlling its noninterest expenses by consolidating branches and emphasizing digital banking. American Express: $24.9 billion\nPayment processor and lender American Express (NYSE:AXP) is Buffett's third-largest and third-longest-held stock. It then fell back to 10.21.</p>\n<p>“In the light of today’s hawkish message from Norges Bank, we will revise our policy rate forecast upward,” economists at Handelsbanken wrote.</p>\n<p>The central bank said the monetary policy committee’s revised forecasts implied a slightly faster series of rate rises towards 2024 than in previous predictions issued in March.</p>\n<p>Part of the reason behind the accelerated timetable is a rapidly recovering economy.</p>\n<p>Norges Bank on Thursday held its forecast for GDP growth of 3.8% in 2021, but raised its prediction for next year to 4.1% from 3.4%.</p>\n<p>Another factor is house price inflation, which has gathered pace since Norway cut rates three times last year to combat the impact of COVID-19, contributing to a property boom as borrowers took advantage of cheap credit.</p>\n<p>While core inflation was expected to ease to 1.7% this year from 3.0% last year, below the central bank’s 2% goal, it forecast house prices would rise by 9.2% in 2021 after expanding by 4.5% in 2020.</p>\n<p>In a related statement on Thursday, Norway’s finance ministry said it would force banks to hold more supplementary buffer capital, 1.5% of its balance sheet instead of 1%, boosting the system’s solidity while making less capital available for lending.</p>","source":"lsy1601381805984","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
