New Zealand’s government is disappointed with the studio’s decision to move filming elsewhere, Economic Development Minister Stuart Nash said in a statement Friday.</p>\n<p>New Zealand, which saw a tourism boom after the first film of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy was released in 2001, attached great importance to Amazon’s series, agreeing to grant an extra 5% on top of the standard 20% rebate incentive for production budgets. That extra rebate will be withdrawn.
