PayPal's customer accounts and revenue trends are exponential (not linear), and they did 4.9 billion transactions in Q3 compared to 4 billion a year back. PayPal is geared more towards online transactions while Square is more focussed on in-person card swipe transactions. PayPal's recent deals with AMZN and AMC theatres are steps in the right direction to become a trillion dollar company that is currently trading at a discounted price.
