I've been reading on this board lots of causes for this decline. And, to a small degree, they could be accurate. But in the end, this is two "gorillas" in the room (V and AMZN). I don't think either party wants to go "down the road". AMZN needs a processor big enough to handle the business. Not many candidates that can pull it off. AmEx fought a similar battle a few years ago against Costco. They took a hit but are doing great now. And, I don't see V chasing these newer forms of processing. I suggest that if at some point they think they're business plan needs that kind of adjustment, V will buy one of the small competitors. I'm wondering if possible rate increases is applying downward pressure. Just a thought.$Visa(V)$
