I reply here to a query:
I think:
1. Sunpower is an asset stripping play, at least based on what transpired over the last few months. I learned that the Ex-CEO was under investigation. Too much uncertainties and best to stay away.
2. Japfa. PT Japfa Comfeed performed much better than Japfa on SGX over the last 52 weeks. Japfa went IPO in early 2014 at $0.80, 7 years later it is now below $0.70. On top of that, over the last 12 Months Japfa sold their Dairy Business (25% in PRC and 80% in SEA). Dairy is their cash cow. The proceeds went to pay off due debts and dividend out. Sad! I think the business in Indonesia,India and Myanmar should be quite badly affected by Covid. The pig business in Vietnam should suffer with diving pork prices in China. In short, best to avoid.
Hope I answer your question.
