Ministers have drawn up plans for booster jabs next winter, with the UK signing a deal for 35 million more Pfizer vaccines.
Sajid Javid, the Health Secretary, said the extra doses would “future-proof our vaccine programme”, adding that it was vital to “do everything we can to protect the country for the future too, whether that's from the virus as we know it or new variants.”
Announcing the new deal, Mr Javid said: “I am pleased we’ve reached this agreement with Pfizer for more doses.”$Pfizer(PFE)$
