PFE and all the vaccine stocks took a hit, in part, because some people wonder about how many vaccines we will need in the future. To me, that is a real concern for the companies whose only product is the vaccine and whose earnings are totally dependent on it. They have had an amazing run and got way ahead of their true value. PFE, on the other hand, is much more than just a vaccine play with billions in cash, a great pipeline, and many other revenue-generating drugs. COVID is a pandemic now and is spreading like wildfire.
PFE should be able to sell all the vaccines it can produce for the coming year. After that, if we catch a break, COVID will become endemic, and we will probably require at least one shot a year if not more. So with that in mind, I believe PFE will make money from its vaccine for the foreseeable future. The kicker for PFE and its investors is what PFE is able to do with the billions they are bringing in and how they put it to work. Time will tell, but to me, PFE is the best and safest play in the vaccine arena.$Pfizer(PFE)$
