$Novavax(NVAX)$ Just a long time bull posting again, been long all along but sorry, busy work life on the front lines & busy home life… In a way it has been good not to watch NVAX too closely as you really need to look past all the noise and share price manipulation. Unfortunately since the beginning even on great news, you had things like hit pieces from STAT news blatant misrepresenting the positive results & unfortunately I doubt these shenanigans will stop (eg. yesterday share price hit on unfounded rumours).

At about this time last year we were watching daily infection rates in the UK to project number of “events” in the trial to get an idea if CoV2373 worked in the real world. Despite the delays from more optimistic production/approval expectations, to be a year later on the cusp of NVAX launching into major real world approvals & large scale production, it is still a major accomplishment. It is an accomplishment that even several big pharmas have not yet achieved despite much greater resources (research capabilities, staffing, money, manufacturing capability).

Soon we will be moving from the mentality that all vaccines are equally good (ie. just get the jab that is available to), to really separating them out on effectivity (...Hello AZ, J&J…), reactogenicity (eg. fever, body aches, etc… Hello MRNA....), side effects (blood clots, myocarditis, etc) & characteristics (eg. ease of storage/handling).

I still believe NVAX has the best in class vaccine considering, effectiveness, reactogenicity, side effects, & storage/handling characteristics.

Then when we get to consider Multi-valent vaccine (eg. like how we have a quadrivalent flu vaccine) & combination of best in class COVID & best in class flu (Nanoflu), I doubt anything else will be close. The RNA vaccines will probably not be able to do full dose
multi-valent & multi virus (eg COVID & FLU) without a horrid reactogenicity profile. If they have to lower their doses, it is unlikely they will have a vaccine as effective as one produced by NVAX.

At the start of the pandemic there were a lot of unknowns and the further we go into this pandemic, the range of possible outcomes is shrinking. For instance I always imagined a possible outcome is that COVID could go the way of SARS, I think that outcome can be firmly thrown into the dustbin of utter fantasy now… As Omicron has recently reminded us, COVID continues to mutate & combined with waning immunity, the need for ongoing vaccinations is a new feature of modern life.

I have already had my 3rd booster of Pfizer/Cominarty & I am really expecting the next one will be Novaxovid. We are on the cusp of the next bull run for NVAX, good luck longs, hang on tight for the ride as there will be more hit pieces.
