Ives referred to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang as the "Godfather of AI" and said Nvidia has laid the foundation for future spending on the build out of AI infrastructure. Ives predicts the "tidal wave" of AI-build-out spending will benefit AI-related infrastructure, software and services companies.

⚠️ Trading tips: dip buy strategies - 750 is a reasonable buy, 700 a good buy, 660 a better buy, 600 is to sell house buy & 500 is definitely the must sell underwear buy! 😂

When would you buy NVDA?

"We think for every dollar of spend on a GPU, there can now be a multiplier of $10, $12 … into software and into chips," Ives said.

Ives pointed to companies including MongoDB, Inc. (NASDAQ:MDB), Palantir Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:PLTR) and Snowflake, Inc. (NYSE:SNOW) as well-positioned to benefit from the build-out of AI.

Ives sees supply and regulatory issues as temporary roadblocks, but believes that the AI revolution and the associated monetization is only just beginning.

"Is this a 1995 or 1999 Moment? Our answer is firm and confident: this is a 1995 Moment as now the AI Revolution and $1 trillion of incremental spending over the next decade is hitting the tech sector. AI party just starting," Ives posted on X Friday.

NVDA-Nasdaq Overweight -- Price $674.72 on Feb. 21 by Piper Sandler After high expectations into the print, Nvidia surpassed both January-quarter results and April guidance. [The stock climbed 15% in the morning after the earnings release, to $777.] Most of the beat was driven by the data center segment, as expected.

Commentary indicated that Nvidia has a strong presence in inference applications, which made up roughly 40% of data center revenue in the quarter. Also, large cloud providers accounted for greater than 50% of data center revenue in
January.

Notably, the company is sampling and shipping a chip in China, which is contributing to some of the upside that we weren't expecting until a couple of months later. While supply for the Hopper architecture has improved dramatically,
Nvidia reaffirmed that it expects continued supply shortages as demand for compute forges ahead.

We reiterate our Overweight rating and top large-cap pick. Price target: $850.

NVDA, MDB, PLTR, SNOW Price Action: According to Benzinga Pro, Nvidia shares closed up 0.36% at $788.17, MongoDB shares closed up 0.34% at $451.52, Palantir shares closed 0.7% lower at $22.99 and Snowflake shares closed 1.65% higher at $229.34 Friday.
