On the other hand, inflation for recreation and culture, and miscellaneous goods and services are expected to go down.</p>\n<p>The June 2021 results also suggest that there is some limited increase in household spending on housing and utilities, offsetting lower transportation expenses whilst work-from-home arrangements are still prevalent.</p>\n<p>“As vaccination progresses and gradual economic re-opening comes into focus, consumer confidence is likely to improve, which may also be associated with a rise in inflation expectations. But having recovered earlier this year, price expectations have stabilised in Singapore.
